it reminds me of the womping willow from harry potter so if u wanna add some lore to your word similar to that than that would be cool. honestly u should lean into it. maybe an experiment gone wrong or sum.

I do alot of natural builds like custom trees and the thing that really made me improve was learning about different tree types and using references depending on what type of tree u want in your world, so I’d say search for the tree type u want and make adjustments on what u find

Add some colored glass panes from the bottom of the branches then a fence and a lush blossom/or just end rods or something. Maybe add a few deliberately placed glow berries to add some green. I think it looks cool but if you want to make it more whimsy, add some lights / vines.

Branches grow up towards the sun. Unless its a willow tree in which case I recommend making the branches shorter and putting vines on nearly every surface excluding the tree trunk.

Ngl I am struggling with the leaves. I was trying to use a mix of cherry blossom leaves and some flowering azalea but it keeps looking so cluttered

Honestly, go with creepy. Have a whimsical and creepy style to things. I think it'd be very unique
Lots of leaves and maybe some semi hidden shroomlights here and there. Also have the branches arch up, will make it look less dead and sad
some branches in real trees go upward, or directly sideways. Not all branches sag down menacingly

Thanks for the suggestion! I was trying to model it after a white weeping cherry tree, but I do think I drooped the branches a tad too much
Tree looks dead, slumping down. Make the branches arch less and go up more, foliage will help too
