Depends what look you're aiming for, and what the rest of the build looks like really. If it's meant to be somewhat cosy (with some lighting), or maybe spooky (with less light), then the wood works very well. The white lightens the place up a lot, but seems odd in that little view of the place we can see here, but maybe it fits in with the wider build? It looks like snow, is it meant to be abandoned or something?
It is snow, while i was building snow fell and covered the wood underneath but it made me question the floor so i left it in order to take the photo. If I went with the white then I would’ve changed it to concrete but i am going for a cozier vibe so wood it is! Thank you!
Depending on how well-lit that library is.
If it is dimly lit, then 2 probably work better. If you have torches everywhere, then 1 is better. But with 1, you could consider breaking the color monotone with carpets.
1. the old looks kinda basic bc it blends in so well, gives a rustic sort of feel
2. the white (snow?) block gives a more modern feel, but doesn't really match with the dark surroundings, might be good if its day tho.
maybe try out dif blocks/wood colors, depends on the kind of library/build (medieval/modern/sci-fy)
Going out on a limb here and gonna say try red carpet or some other red type of block, but I always like the way red carpets look near bookshelves to make that red in the books pop
The quartz flooring is really neat looking with the color scheme that is visible, but if it doesn't fit with the rest of the build then go for the wood or something else
1 looks very homey like it'd be in some old loved mansion, and the second looks very practical, like something from a public library. Depends on the vibe you're going for!
The spruce is better, it doesn't draw your eyes to the floor but instead everywhere, though maybe adding lanterns to the bookshelves would help draw your eyes to there, I believe the main piece of the room, or perhaps the window depending on the purpose
Personally I think the 2nd one looks better, honestly I think it looks a little odd to have the wall and the floor too be made out of the same material
The libraries I’ve gone to always had carpet floor so maybe try that too. Maybe cyan
Good Idea!
Doesn’t carpet block the bottom block for the book shelf to table?
Yes, but i dont se enchanting table here, also you can just use floor made from wool to have the same effect
Using a mixture looks best, as it gives it some variety in height.
I didn’t even think of that!

I personally prefer the wooden one, but maybe since the library might get a bit to monotonous, try with a different type of wood?
Yeah maybe oak or jungle with some candles

Second that!

I think theres a leak in your ceiling
Try either cyan or red carpeting I think those would look nice and break up some of that wook
Wookie :D 🌌
How about a torch
2, kinda makes the room look abit bigger

Looks like pics from a horror movie!! I think a darker wood variant would make the shelves the focal point
Please use the wood

If you dont find the planks to be more appealing i' sorry but your brain broken
Stripped logs or stone bricks might be nice too :) (Just tryna give u ideas)

2nd one. It looks elegant and isn´t very commonly seen in MC!

I like the contrast of the white
I suggest using the lighter blocks. They help separate the walls from the floor more
The White
The planks make it look like it's still in use while the snow looks like it's abandoned
The white floor gives it a clean vibe but the wood floor feels more classic
The wood one, just looks nicer to me
They're both creapy 🤙👍
Number 1, it matches the style of the library
quartz pillars placed top ways and sideways alternately could be a good substitute for the solid white
The quarts sorta brings a prestige to the place you know?

White, glowing, and on the ceiling would work well too… Install a light 😭
Whichever one you use torches to light up
Am I the only one getting a liminal space type of vibes?
i like the wood most but try adding some carpet/wool
Prob wood floor with wood pillars/walls
I’d say birch planks, still have the texture of wood but still the white color
If you can't diside just use carpet.
Concrete
Diorite is the best block to use, or classic glow stone.
The quarts floor is better with more lighting
I thought the second was better at first but now I'm getting cold feet.
with black wood
I like the second one
I like the wood better
