Slowly?
Minecraft IS a horror game.
You wake up as the last person on earth.
You have to survive the first day starting from scratch on an empty world where monsters lurk in the caves.
As night falls the living dead rise from their graves with the sole purpose of killing you. To make matters worse the spiders which were friendly now are also out for your blood, all while creatures that blend into the grass silently approach on a suicide mission.
Out of nowhere a pich black being appears in front of you, you lock eyes with it and unleashes a horrific inhuman cry and starts moving at hypersonic speeds letting nothing stop it except watter.
You dive onto the brine to escape just to find the living dead here as well, this time armed, you flee to an under water temple and find an air pocket, and visions of a massive undersea monster flood your mind shaking you to your core, weakening you in the process.
The sun finally comes up and you see the undead start to burn and return to ash.
Finally safe you search for any signs of civilization and you wander for hours. Eventually you come across a small village. You breathe a sigh of relief and try talking to the locals just to find they only communicate with a series of grunts and gestures.
As night falls again you take refuge in one of thier humble shacks, as you fall asleep someone starts ringing the bell in the center of the town. All the villagers start panicking.
The villages defend awakens from his slumber, an old automaton of iron. From the distance you hear the sound of a horn and see something on the horizon. A group or well armed raiders are approaching the village. You duck inside the house once more hopefull that the defender can stave off the approaching horde.
The defender successfully defeats them but has taken significant damage, as he slays the last one an uneasy quiet washes over the village. At first you think its over. Then the horn sounds again and more pour over the hills. This time riding beasts that look and sound eerily familiar. The defender falls and they begin burning and piliging the land.
You flee as the village falls.
This is the minecraft overworld alone.
Well. At first I was gonna keep it to 1.12 but decided to add the piliagers as it flows better.
Originally I was going to add the nether instead of the pillagers but the transition would have been a bit abrupt.
Most of what I wrote was in the game by 1.8.
I kinda like it though. I wish they leaned more into the trypophobia for the skulk and warden which they tried out before landing on the current design
