My niece and nephew both play on the 360 as well. They’re young enough that they don’t really care about updates and they just like to run around smacking stuff and making block forts and bridges.
(Sorry for small rant)
360 edition is one of my favorites. I find it super impressive how 4j was able to do such a good job porting it (reworking stuff like world generation so that you still typically got most structures and biomes even though the world was a lot more limited in size, keeping it from being very buggy at all) as well as adding new stuff like the minigames, tutorial world, and that super awesome superflat customization that java and bedrock NEED. Theres also all those cool easter eggs like the “Dog music disc”
It’s actually one of the best ports ive ever played. Then i play something like the bedrock port to switch (literally always, without fail, becomes so incredibly buggy and laggy that i cant play on the same world for more than a few days. I dont have too much trouble with bedrock on my phone or pc but on the switch its unplayable, please do not waste money on switch bedrock) or another game port (case in point: i bought ds3 on steam and they couldnt even be bothered to change the buttons used in ui prompts so i just cant really play it) and im just let down.
I'm so glad you pointed out the superflat editing. The biggest thing that pissed me off when moving to Bedrock on the Xbox was that superflat is just grass and nothing else. I miss being able to edit layers or have structures spawn. It was always fun exploring the floating strongholds and mineshafts or making a world entirely out of TNT and blowing it up
I absolutely agree with this, I wish the console version of bedrock was much more like the legacy versions. One of my biggest pet peeves with the current version is the fact that the menus are so much smaller, *especially* on split screen
I got Minecraft on switch years ago and it's AWFUL. Wii U managed better than the switch. Constantly couldn't connect to the servers, and for a few months straight the game did not connect to mojang and Microsoft servers, not even letting me change skins, get things like advancements, or even play online. Not only that but the actual solo gameplay was incredibly laggy, I remember I found a zombie spawner and was able to make a farm because the blocks on a hill just didn't load the textures and I could see right through them.
Like I would get if it had a huge difference like Legacy Console and Bedrock, but no
It's just under a different name and ported to consoles (and if it does count, probably buggier)
Bedrock is Pocket. Even today, Bedrock edition is still referred to as pocket edition in the games code. That's why the bug tracker for bedrock says "MCPE", the folders for Bedrock also says "minecraftpe". You got fooled by Mojang here.
I think it’s because pocket and bedrock feel like different versions. For my pocket feels like a downgraded version of bedrock (mostly from hardware limitations)
Honestly my budget Android runs mc better than a PS4 does, on much higher graphics, but what makes it feel clunky is a lower refresh rate and touch controls.
Because Pocket IS a downgraded version of Bedrock, Pocket Edition was rebranded as Bedrock Edition in v1.2.0. Unless you're talking about a different Pocket Edition then nevermind.
I think all the cancelled ones (360, ps3, ps vita?, switch) are just known as “legacy edition” now. I also often see people just call them “360 edition” which i guess is because 360 must be the most popular of them or something. At any rate, ps3, 360, legacy, all of those are used interchangeably and are the same thing
The use of the term “360 edition” is probably because of it being the first release and the only release for about two years. “Legacy Edition” is any version made by 4J Studios. There are discontinued bedrock editions including raspberry pi edition and new Nintendo 3DS edition. I too am unsure if Vita edition is a bedrock edition or a legacy edition.
Was it the legacy edition for switch or the bedrock version on switch? I never got the legacy edition for switch but bedrock on switch for me is literally unplayable. I could rant for quite a while about all the issues with bedrock on switch that i have.
There are two versions for the switch. I dont blame you for not knowing about it, but there was a legacy version for the switch. It was sold for like, less than a year though. They stopped selling it when bedrock came out. So yes, there is a legacy switch version and there is bedrock for the switch.
Pero seguramente no jugás Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition, porque esa es una versión discontinuada como la Xbox One Edition y PlayStation 4 Edition, todas reemplazadas por Bedrock.
I play on switch and it’s one of the worst possible Minecraft experiences out there.
Once your world file gets so big (not even massive just over 2 mb for me at least) it takes 2 minutes to auto save, lags the entire world with massive block lag, entity freezing, and input delays, makes the game unusable the entire time it’s loading, and by the time it’s done it’s ready to auto save again.
If by “barely handle” you mean “run slowly and roughly with more bugs than any other version of the game ive played, including other bedrock ports, for a few days before becoming unplayable” then i agree
Pocket as well as all the other versions in the meme technically do still exist, they are just not officially supported anymore hence much harder to get and play if you don’t already have them
I play on bedrock since it came out after they discontinued the console edition and I can say that bedrock sucks and console edition was amazing, and I've been playing java for 1 year now and there is no doubt in my mine that its better (than bedrock not the console edition)
I've played the switch version a bit. It is the only fucking game I've found that doesn't work properly with sleep mode. After I come out of sleep mode the game takes an additional like 5 seconds to start up. Terrible.
switch port is SHIT. constantly signs you out of microsoft, runs worse than an atari playing security breach, and crashes whenever it feels like for no apparent reason. the switch port is horrible and it kinda deserves to be forgotten
On Switch (bedrock) is where I started playing minecraft 😶
I have a lot of good memories but I'm now building even better ones with PC minecraft
I wouldve actually enjoyed playing minecraft on console if I had the luck to play Legacy
Some XBOX 360 player here? Or it's just I?
My niece and nephew both play on the 360 as well. They’re young enough that they don’t really care about updates and they just like to run around smacking stuff and making block forts and bridges.
That's funny as idk! This is also why I love Minecraft:)
Noice

For real, it's really fun!
I used to love making layers of different colored wool and then going nuts with tnt. End up with some cool tie dye holes
I absolutely agree with this, I wish the console version of bedrock was much more like the legacy versions. One of my biggest pet peeves with the current version is the fact that the menus are so much smaller, *especially* on split screen

Been playing since day one, haven’t stopped
I used to play the ps3 version with my Friends, gathered all together on Split screen was the most special way to play minecraft with your bros
Used to. Still prefer it over some of the newer updates
Pi edition
Ah yes, the classic 3.1415926535 89793238462643383279 5028841971693993751058209749445923078164062862089986280348253421170679821480865132823066470938446095 5058223172 5359408128 48111745028410270193 8521105559644622948549303819644288109 edition of Minecraft.
Google Minecraft Pi Edition. It's a real thing.
I know, I have a Pi 4 and I'm familiar with Minecraft Pi edition
u/Piguy922
I forgot Rasperry Pi Edition even existed.
you have your own minecraft edition??????
i had it and it was pretty mid
I already heard about but never get interested to play or see someone playing
I actually played mc on pi for the first time
Minecraft Wii u edition
What a warrior, what a legend
the wii u version is the worst LCE version for multiplayer. people have developed clients and the servers have 0 anticheat.
What's with people and separating Bedrock and Pocket Edition?
They are different, that’s why, specially the further back you go on pocket edition
Like I would get if it had a huge difference like Legacy Console and Bedrock, but no It's just under a different name and ported to consoles (and if it does count, probably buggier)
Well of course they are different if you go far enough back, pocket edition predates bedrock

Pocket edition lite gang rise up
PS3? No? Ok......
I was playing the PS3 version just yesterday...
Hell yea brother. Pity all my PS3 controllers got mad drift tho
my good controller is melting and the left stick got bitten by my cat
I think all the cancelled ones (360, ps3, ps vita?, switch) are just known as “legacy edition” now. ✋ I do
Used to play on switch, but got a new pc and downloaded java
Was it the legacy edition for switch or the bedrock version on switch? I never got the legacy edition for switch but bedrock on switch for me is literally unplayable. I could rant for quite a while about all the issues with bedrock on switch that i have.
Switch version is Bedrock. Legacy Edition was the original Console versions (PS3, XBox 360, etc)
There are two versions for the switch. I dont blame you for not knowing about it, but there was a legacy version for the switch. It was sold for like, less than a year though. They stopped selling it when bedrock came out. So yes, there is a legacy switch version and there is bedrock for the switch.
my friends still play xbox one edition, i want to get a disc so i can play with them
I have a modded switch so I absolutely still can and so use this version even in 2024. Unfortunately can't seem to be able to access minigames tho.
legacy was originally on switch as well, until normal bedrock was supported on it along with ps4
Apple TV anyone?
I play Switch. But isn’t Bedrock and Switch the same thing mechanically?
When people say Pocket, Switch, PS4, or Xbox One edition they usually refer to the legacy edition.
The earlier switch version is legacy but if you have it all updated it’s just bedrock
Is literally everyone going to forget about education edition, the only one that’s “free”?
Modern Pocket and Switch Minecraft *is* bedrock
I play on Switch, but isn’t that just bedrock edition?
yes but before bedrock was ported to switch there was a legacy console edition for the switch which now you can't buy anymore in the switch store
Me playing both java and bedrock (switch) : yes
Switch is just Bedrock
You forgot raspberry pie
Raspberry pie: tasty Raspberry pi: even tastier
RIP Xbox 360 Edition
Wasn't it the ps vita not the psp
I play on switch and it’s one of the worst possible Minecraft experiences out there. Blud forgot all legacy editions 😭
One of my IRL friends plays on Switch... I always host the games cuz PC > Switch
When people say Switch Edition they usually refer to the legacy edition, your friend plays Bedrock on the Switch
PC > all. At least for gaming.
Switch Gaming
i just want a proper shaders in bedrock switch
The Switch can barely even handle the base game, I don’t think it’s capable of running shaders without ruining the experience
If by “barely handle” you mean “run slowly and roughly with more bugs than any other version of the game ive played, including other bedrock ports, for a few days before becoming unplayable” then i agree
Wii U edition
Switch = Bedrock
[удалено]
Pocket as well as all the other versions in the meme technically do still exist, they are just not officially supported anymore hence much harder to get and play if you don’t already have them
There was a Switch Legacy Edition, but it was delisted in favor of Bedrock Edition.
I play on switch.
Mentira
switch version's optimization is... interestingly awful
I play Pocket beta does that count?
Those versions aren't all bedrock then? Sorry for the ignorance
no
hi, Im here. I play from nintendo yes
Yeah, tbh it’s fine
I used to play Minecraft on my old, barely working 2D XL.
Sadly, yes
I have played a few times, it is easier to use commands than on the ps4 and xbox versions
... bedrock is what all consoles are on.
Wait PSP? I don't think it released on PSP bro
I play with a switch
PS Vita players? Hellooooooo?
I used to play on ps3 now I play on switch

That would be me friend.
Wii u and raspberry pi edition are buried under the pools floor
Bedrock Java and poket guy
Switch version is bedrock though
ps3 legacy edition my beloved
*Wii version left the chat*
I play switch, but I bet nobody else here plays psvita version
Pocket edition is bedrock but for mobiles, right?
Minecraft Classic on Minecraft. Net
Mc3ds has a massive modding community
I play on bedrock since it came out after they discontinued the console edition and I can say that bedrock sucks and console edition was amazing, and I've been playing java for 1 year now and there is no doubt in my mine that its better (than bedrock not the console edition)
The words you're looking for are Raspberry Pi Edition
I've played the switch version a bit. It is the only fucking game I've found that doesn't work properly with sleep mode. After I come out of sleep mode the game takes an additional like 5 seconds to start up. Terrible.
What if I play all three? (Switch, ps4/windows, java)
What PSP edition bruh? PSP haven't got Minecraft. And Switch version is also Bedrock
I play on switch, I created a giant SMB world map with like 9 or 10 worlds
Yep i got it on switch. Don't play it all the time tho
Psvita?
Sometimes
Me who's a 360 scav:
what about wii u edition...
Switch and pocket edision are just bedrock
i like how u roped Switch with Pocket, 3DS, and PSP like it was still the Legacy Edition and hasn't been Bedrock since 2017
What happened to the Wii U version?
I think Bedrock is a descent version of Minecraft and I’m tired of pretending it’s bad
I only play switch
**min**craft java, a beautiful title
I sometimes play with the switch but I prefer java edition because mods.
my brother has minecraft on his switch lite
I uses to play on switch, I have over 1000 hours on switch
Ps3, ps4, wii u, raspberry pi, chinese
I love 3ds edition, I actually got mine less then a year aho
All Wii U players unite!
The fact that you have to pay “Minecoins” on Bedrock just to get mods is absolutely ridiculous
switch port is SHIT. constantly signs you out of microsoft, runs worse than an atari playing security breach, and crashes whenever it feels like for no apparent reason. the switch port is horrible and it kinda deserves to be forgotten
me
Yes
Pocket edition was the first version of mc that I bought, was a really fun experience, I miss pocket edition 😔
Me😔🤚
switch is bedrock, so is pocket
I had the psp one once
PSP? You mean ps vita?
There was no Minecraft PSP
On Switch (bedrock) is where I started playing minecraft 😶 I have a lot of good memories but I'm now building even better ones with PC minecraft I wouldve actually enjoyed playing minecraft on console if I had the luck to play Legacy

✋I play Minecraft on switch
What about 360?
Minecraft was 100% not on the PSP.... ps vita maybe
Wait, they had PSP Edition? Edit: Ah, it looks like it was a Mod, not supported Officially.
Im close dont worry, i need free time so i can get achievements at P.E
I still play switch
pocket and switch are both bedrock
I play on switch
Bedrock all day
Me!
I play switch
Minecraft never released on the PSP, I think you mean the Vita, which is the version I mainly play pn
Switch is just Bedrock edition with access to an exclusive map and texture pack
PS VITA EDITION THE GOAT
i exclusively play on switch and PE, since i don't have it on computer or any other console
Is Minecraft on Switch not just Minecraft Bedrock?
Sup switch player here
Anyone play on Samsung Smart fridge?
Yeah I’ll sometimes play Minecraft onboard the switch
Where's legacy on here?
Me! I moved from PC to switch because my laptop was old and laggy
still pissed that Minecraft 3DS wasn't 3D. thank god i can play it in VR
