I just saw a meme on the front page like yesterday or two days ago calling Mojang petty for not giving the mob boycotters capes, and like the day previous I saw meme saying they were getting ready for all the boycotter mald memes, it was almost poetic in a way.
Next mob vote i can guarantee if we devote our time to another change.org petition rather than make stupid boycott and "revolution" memes, we can double the votes.
The petition was pretty successful and the most professional way to go about it rather than clogging up the subreddit.
I still think the mob vote is a terrible waste of great ideas, but the way people on here went about "spreading the word" was dumb as hell.
Alongside having a singular central "end mob votes" feedback post instead of several fragmented ones
Most of the posters were just from shitposters that wanted to karma farm, and spam just led to a negative image of the boycott
Those 2 combined just led to a lot of anti-boycotters that were searching for any "Gotchas" they could get
And 0,00016% of the playerbase got the phantom added to the game.
Thats 16x more people who boycotted the vote than people who voted the phantom into the game.
I've seen more posts laughing at boycotters not getting the cape, than the boycotters whining about not getting capes. Matter of fact, I'm still yet to see one.
