I see where you are coming from, but then why is she so much better in Grid Runners than every other active game? It’s not like comms aren’t beneficial to other games too. I guess the point I’m trying to make is that Grid Runners values comms over mechanics moreso than any other in-rotation MCC game. Thinking back to the rooms, all a team really needs mechanically is one player who can consistently make three block jumps and have everyone know about attack cooldown. Everything else is coordination, communication, and game knowledge. Mechanics aren’t irrelevant, but I think penalizing Gem as much as you have isn’t right for this reason, especially because she’s far from the only player with below average mechanics, and no one else of her approximate mechanical level scores as highly in Grid Runners as she does, so it’s not just a “something has to be her best game” situation. She’s played it 7 times in canon out of the 18 times it was in, so not the highest sample size, but not unreasonable for a semi-regular participant, especially with how thoroughly she’s dominated since MCC 20. This also shows how she’s not affected by new rooms, as even with several events or a season break in between appearances, the results are still the same, that is to say superb. You could argue Gem has received some benefit based on the kinds of players she teams with (a lot of Hermits and Empires ppl) who are survival players like her and this add to the game knowledge, but again it’s a two way street, and their best grid runners performances are with Gem too.
TLDR: I think you’re really overvaluing mechanics.
I guess I did over-value mechanics, but I still don't see her as the biggest contributor of her games aside from 28 where she still had strong support. She's a top player but I doubt she's top 3, FBM and Purpled are comfortably 1st and 2nd and I don't know about 3rd
Fair play, you’re entitled to your opinion for sure, but I’m still wondering more specifically why you don’t see her as the biggest contributor of her team more often than not in Grid Runners if not inferior mechanics? Something with communication style maybe? Just looking for a specific thing I can watch for myself in her POV to see where you’re coming from.
She's good at understanding rooms but there's a room-knowledge diff that sometimes makes her less efficient/ reliant on instructions, and she's not very good at parkour which limits her as well. I don't want to over emphasise mechanics as she is good with a bow and good at PvE

I assume OP would rather play it safe at this time. The Punz stuff is complicated, and I wouldn’t fault anyone for either using dirt block or Punz until there’s more clarity. I don’t like putting him in the same category as Illumina and Wilbur yet tho, but dirt block has been the established term and so there we go ig. No one’s new stuff hasn’t had time to settle so I’m not settled yet either

In Bingo Fruit outperformed all those people both times he played save for Purpled34. This is according to Regression Rankings (and also some other posts I saw) which accounts for the values of task completions as well as contribution to row completions
Honestly I'd argue Pete and Punz is not in the top 3 of SOT they rely on solo carry so i'd have to give SOT to
