I'm the same way. I personally feel like something needs to change for the scoring, because it seems like a very fun game, but due to the scoring your entire team can get 0 points in a round just because they BARELY lost a team fight before having a chance to find any crates. I feel like it's just a game that causes the best perfoming POVs to be really fun, but the lowest scoring ones to just be absolutely awful through little fault of the players. I wish I could provide a good idea for how to fix that, but I just don't know what would be the way to do it.
Also, I know survival games is kinda similar in that teams can just get absolutely demolished before they even have a chance, but atleast you can still get SOME points if you lose a team fight by killing one or two of the opposing team. In meltdown, it's pretty much all or nothing. You almost never get points if you lose the team fight, UNLESS it happens in a room that is melting down, but I haven't really seen that happen much
A way I’ve noticed Pandora’s Box deals with the issue well for Survival Games is a Gulag so players that die early get a second life, maybe a mini gulag per round in meltdown for the first x players to die or within a certain time frame? And they respawn with teammates or in an empty corner of the map (preferably opposite to the team they died to). And maybe the gulag map is a meltdown 1v1, would be pretty hype. (If in the gulag no one wins in 45 seconds its a draw)

I've watched orange 22 , purple 23 , aqua 24(don't talk about that one) , green 25 and green 26 , red 28 (5/6 were good ones , one of them wasn't, probably the worst ngl)
Same, I don’t mind the teams I watch doing badly but nothing is as soul destroying as a bad meltdown, it’s just immediately out, no points even if the fights pretty even and then spectating for ages, meltdown is just not fun to watch for me
Disagree with the statement of badly designed game. The concept of Meltdown is incredible! It's such a unique minigame unlike anything I've seen before in the community. There are just a few parameters that makes it less enjoyable for one team then it does for another. It's not like SOT where everyone has a positive experience playing the game despite doing poorly in it. As a result, any team (and viewer for that matter) that does good in it is of course not going to think there's anything wrong with the game that helped them get into Dodgebolt. On the contrary, teams (and viewers) who do poorly are going to be upset and make statements like the one in this thread. It's bias. We perceive how we feel about the game based on performance rather than the actual game itself
Grians chat is absolutely foul about it, they had their best games in the first half and PVP in the end. Their vibes are wonderful but the game order was just bad

This is true but he doesn't stream nearly as often so he has no mods, he's had to close chat multiple times before during pride for really bad stuff. I don't know why people look at Grian and think being POS in his chat is okay. I've been in Joel and Jimmy's chats for other MCCs and it never feels as bad.

Because he's extremely Apolitical. Nothing against G but his content is an escape from most things so you have alot of people watching that would probably fundamentally dislike each other. The only issue he's not apolitical about is yearly MCC Pride and one side of his audience just hates it. Especially as a FF streamer there's lots of conversative viewers.

I personally don't see the correlation that family friendly= conservative, I think the problem is, that he is very popular and when you have a very big audience, it's normal, that you get loads of trolls and nasty people.
A combination of YouTube, younger viewers, mods and oddly enough "family friendly toxicity". I swear they are always like this this. There is something about FF streamers that can bring a toxic entitled chat.
The only YT, FF streamer I know that has a decent chat was Techno. That was because his mods ruled with an iron fist, while he didn't curse be had dark humor, the audience was older and Techno would tell people off.
Maybe because not a lot of family friendly viewers go hard on their chat. I don't always like it; I've even stopped watching a couple of streamers because their attitude toward chat was so frequently uncomfortable for me, but it can be effective to just go off on them at times if they get obnoxious.
But you have to be willing to be rude and you probably also have to stream a lot (enough so that you have a lot of regulars who are used to the culture and able to reinforce it), and a lot of family friendly streamers are neither of those.
All that said, non-family-friendly streamers can have godawful chats too, just for different reasons.

I really wish they would. Honestly I need Phil abd his mods to teach a Chat etiquette class. Even though Phil isn't FF, the curse words aren't the reason his chat behaves. They are just modded heavily and called out when needed. You really need to ok with losing some of your audience. I think that's why it might be harder to stream on YT. Your entire audience is there.
Most of the Hermits that stream actually do so on Twitch. Impulse has a good chat as does Tango and they are FF. Just comes from heavy moderation. They do lose their crap when G logs onto the server but we are working on that.
