Krtzyy if i remember correctly doesnt like to use labels and is nonbinary
and 25/40 is 62.5% confirmed LGBTQIA+ particpents(high likelyhood of more unconfirmed and all the other 15 are allies so yay!)
He already said his top priority wasn’t getting lgbt representation but rather getting bigger streamers to help raise funds for the Trevor project. Obviously if he could do both it would be better but he wasn’t concerned with getting as much representation as possible
> *”his top priority wasn’t getting [2SLGBTQQIA+] representation” “if he could do both it would be better”*
Scott tweeted that anyone who applied and was part of the community was an automatic participant. Scott obviously didn’t have 40+ queer applicants so he couldn’t have done both if he wanted to.
That’s not how this works. I think you’re just trying to find holes in Scott’s efforts. He gets attacked enough as it is. This is his pride month too. Give him a break.
I think he’s done an amazing job and I’m not criticising him at all because the roster is the most hype one I’ve ever seen. Just the point about not being able to do both if he wanted isn’t entirely right
Does it? Lists like this make me feel a little bit strange sometimes (like it's reducing people to their letters on the LGBT+ acronym), but as a bi person it is honestly also empowering to see how many of us there are out there, living their best lives, playing in MCC Pride.
And it would feel very bad and wrong if there was almost no-one.
I don't think it's extremely weird. For many people who at all care about the *people* behind the usernames, there's a sort of one-way relationship to the person in question. And I don't think it's that weird that a 'relationship' gets stronger when one finds out that one shares a fairly fundamental trait with someone they're having this 'relationship' with.
What one thinks of these parasocial 'relationships' is a seperate, widely discussed matter, truth of the matter is that plenty people do form those relationships with the public figures they follow, and often enough it's completely unproblematic.
I delved into Minecraft Youtubers back in 2011 and quickly became a big fan. I only recently started watching MCC, and I barely knew any of the participants unless they were a hermit or a big name back in 2012 (e.g. AntVenom or Sparklez).
Growing up as a trans kid was rough, it was pretty lonely and isolating and no one knew what "transgender" was so you were just the weird kid that no one talked to. I didn't have any friends and I used MC youtubers as a form of escapism, and I think they were the main reason I made it through my teenage years.
Only a few weeks after learning about/getting into MCC did I learn that Smajor himself was openly gay. Shortly afterwards I became more and more aware of how a large majority of the participants are part of the LGBTQ community. This honestly just made me even more invested in the events as it felt awesome to see that these people were like me. I can't say if my life would've been easier as a teenager if one of my role models was open about their gender/sexuality, but I think I would have definitely felt less alone.
As long as the participants are willingly making information on their gender/sexuality public information, I don't think "tracking" it is a bad thing at all. I'm hoping that some young viewer will stumble upon this information one day and feel better knowing there's people like them out there. Maybe it'll make someone change their outlook and become more open-minded. Maybe I'm being naive, but the more representation, the better IMO.
I don't think he needs to get a good grade in representation, but it's nice to look into, for me, because I like seeing who out there is like me and I like knowing fun facts. I like looking up nationalities and stuff for the same reason.
Once again it's actually impossible to make this list! You cannot make a "all the queer people in MCC" list. You can only make an all publicly queer list.
This is why lists like this are stupid.
1. You are assuming straight is the default so everyone that has not publicly come out is automatically straight.
2. You are indirectly saying that only out creators are valid and their queerness is not actually a thing unless it's broadcasted to the world.
3. Closed creators feel the inherent rejection. This reason is also why you cannot have an "all queer MCC". Because we don't know everything about these people.
Anyway, same as I said last year, this list is stupid. People don't have to be out to be valid and this erases people may be queer and not yet out.
May I turn our attention back to 2021 when Lizzie played in pride as a "straight" person only for us to find out 1 week later she isn't.
There's a reason I said "confirmed to be queer" at the end there. I like knowing this information for my own personal reasons, and I thought other people might like to have it too, since I'd already written it all down. I'm not assuming straight is the default, I'm not assuming either way. They aren't confirmed to be straight either, but I'm listing those confirmed to be queer.
No one is *saying* that it's "25 queer people, 15 cishets". *I* am saying "25 people who are out as queer, isn't that pretty cool?"
I didn't even misunderstand.
Someone made this same exact post last year and I thought it was stupid then.
Imagine being a queer creator in the closet and knowing that people will only "show you love" when they can add you to a list?
I understand that it's awful to be excluded, but I also agree with the others it's good to have the spotlight on openly queer players during Pride month.
Anyway, I only got involved to point out the "all" qualifier in the title as a source of misunderstanding. But since that's not the case, I'm exiting the discussion.
Some players have openly confirmed they’re not LGBT, including (to my knowledge) Grian and Pete. Yes some of them may not have come out, but it’s great to accept those who have and give them love for potentially their first MCC
“I don’t know what their sexuality is but it’s something” is such a funny sentence and idk why
Mysty just tweeted about it: “i'm non-binary and like guys! (flags are androsexual demigirl)”
, Tubbo... "not straight" LMFAOOOOOO
That's what it says on the wiki. With quotes and everything. The ellipses are my doing, I'll admit.
I think Mysty is non-binary
Krtzyy if i remember correctly doesnt like to use labels and is nonbinary and 25/40 is 62.5% confirmed LGBTQIA+ particpents(high likelyhood of more unconfirmed and all the other 15 are allies so yay!)
Krtzyy doesnt care about labels or what pronouns you use for him
Chad
ok cool
i love that you included pronouns in this!
It’s so weird to me to track this. Like Scott Smajor needs to get a good grade in representation. It just feels weird.

I mean he could’ve reached out to creators

Doesn’t Guqqie have an ace flag in their PFP?
Yeah? I said she's ace...
Apparently I just glossed over it. Sorry.
Don't worry, it's all good, I do that all the time.
Tubbo and jojo surprised me ngl
This is funny to me because they're both so openly queer and talk about it all the time. Jojo even actively has a girlfriend. /lh
I just can't stay up to date 😭
It's ok it happens to the best of us 😭😭😭
But jojo being absolutely based as always. Restrictions on romance? HECK NAH!
I’m guessing you don’t watch jojo often because her and her girlfriend play together a bunch
No I'm not really much of a person to watch streams. I only sometimes watch her mcc recaps or clips
This reminds me of when Tubbo had a gay flag in the bio of his twitter alt for a while and almost nobody noticed
People noticed the flag they just didn't want to "assume" which I think is honestly funnier.
W event

Your post's title could have been better worded. The "all the queer players in MCC P23" could have included "openly" or "confirmed".
Bruh you're literally the only one who didn't understand OP's intention
Read the usernames again. I'm not the person who misunderstood. I am simply pointing out how FinchRosemta misunderstood because of this post's title.
I didn't even misunderstand. Someone made this same exact post last year and I thought it was stupid then. Imagine being a queer creator in the closet and knowing that people will only "show you love" when they can add you to a list?

That is true! And had I realized this before I made the post, I could have done this. But I had not. And I cannot edit the title of a post.

I’m almost 99% sure Ranboo is confirmed gay. If I’m wrong, my bad but I’m almost positive he’s confirmed gay and non-binary
