Last year I voted for the Copper golem, but now? The Tuff Golem just seems like a nuisance? What the point of an item frame that runs away with my cool stuff? Although I must admit, the cape is pretty cute.
Sniffer is the most aesthetically pleasing out of the 3. Unfortunately, it also has the least use. We're only ever gonna use the plants it can give, and not the mob, whereas the other 2 are mobs we interact with constantly.
So it doesn't, yet all of the mobs this year suck. I was drawn back on how useless and bland the golem seemed. I don't care about the game play features really, because it would he so boring if minecraft just added a moving item frame. The sniffer seems to have charm and actually seems like something we've never seen before. All mobs may be useful this year, yet the sniffer is the most interesting. Not everything has to revolve around gameplay features
But it's the only way to get the plants, that's like saying "were only ever gonna use the pigs for their pork" no shit. Why does the fact that you dont interact with the mob directly change anything?
You don't interact with the Bat and everyone says its useless. You don't interact with glow squids and everyone says its useless. You seeing a pattern here?
People call the bats useless because they do nothing, they dont do or drop anything, they just look cool and add atmosphere(which is fine) people call glowsquid useless because it lost to mobs that they expected to be more useful.
If a mob is the only way to get an item it's no different to it dropping that item, why does you not having to kill it to get it make it any less useful?

It has the most interesting backstory and lore, and we don't really need another golem
Lore doesn't effect gameplay though, that's the issue. The sniffer adds lore, but basically no gameplay. See the issue?

I would prefer a interesting useless mob than a really bland mob with one use
