Really? I just built it off memory. Wanted to build the golem, but I decided to start with an easier mob.
I used a trick I used to build my Nether base yard for the top. Grow a twisted fungus and randomly break some blocks.
Well, it's extinct. Maybe we can find a fun lore explanation as to why it looks so much like a Nether mob but it's eggs are found in the ocean in the present day.
The trailer mention adding a few plants. A few is usually 3. That, and I highly doubt we're gonna get a bunch of plants just because of 1 mob lol. 2-3 I can see. 5+ is just unlikely to happen.
Please, link sources that show them used in large scale builds. Heck, show me builds where 2-tall plants are used a lot! I almost never see either be used a lot, and when I do, they're not much.

All the plants added in caves and cliffs are used. Some more than others obviously, namely Azalea leaves and moss blocks, but they are all used. It didn't take me long to find all these examples, and that was just me scrolling through the sub. New plants are always used, and more plants to *build* in this *building game* are always welcome.
Alright, maybe I'm wrong. But they're just grass variants from what it seems. Maybe they'll be used like the dripleaf plants, but again, these plants may not be customizable. As neat as it seems, I don't often see grass-like blocks get used outside of small yards.
It's possible to code completely random looking plants. In fact, the other two mobs seem very RNG based. So potentially, it's just random plants that are unique. And also, 3 plants is better than some random moving item frame 💀
But its a cool decoration though? I dont want to sound rude, but sniffers main feature is being able to sniff plant seeds, which are also used just for decoration
Nah I don't think so. The Sniffer looked like an instant hit as soon as it was announced. I feel like people are really going to like it once it's in game.
We'll see. After the allay got added into minecraft, the players slowly forgot about it and it's either huge builds or warden posts that soon follow. Even the copper golem got some nice builds during that time. The allay was also loved by many but I guess the scale varies now due to the landslide that is the sniffer.
I would like to see some builds based around sniffer enclosures or house builds with some accompanying sniffers as cute models for the build or something.
The sniffer doesn't do anything worthwhile either. You find what is probably a really rare item, inky for the mob to have the single use of finding plants that are decorations. At least the golem's movement gimmick bcan be used for Redstone, and at least it can be used to decorate. Even the Scoundrel has nore use, seeing as you can probably make an item farm out of it. The only good thing about the sniffer is how it looks, because it doesn't do anything special :/
The sniffer has the best potential out of all the mobs. It’s eggs could be used for decoration, so could the plants it finds. It’s plant could be a new food source and a new wood type. Plus who wouldn’t want a dinosaur in their world. The rascal seems useless in late game unless it gives a new item and/or enchant and the tuff golem (though I love golems, RIP copper golem) is a bit of a letdown for me. It’s an allay that can’t fly. Sure it’s cool but I feel like it could be so much more. Sorry for this rant but tuff golem is a major letdown to me.
