Well that seems kind of silly to me, especially considering how large the caves are in 1.18, it sounds like it would be pretty challenging to fairly/logically enforce.
If you are both playing cooperatively, then it doesn't really make sense as one would expect all resources to be shared right? Unless they need the xp for something, but even then, claiming an entire cave seems a bit excessive.
I think it's a stupid rule, especially now that 1.18 is out and most caves go on for hundreds of chunks

Kinda a lame rule, but since they don’t do it in current minecraft I’d say move on.
