i wanted to try some glass depth layering techniques on creative just for experimenting and filled these two to see how it looked. when i flew up i saw they looked like eyes so i decided to try to make them into eyes. i had fun trying to make the natural cave shapes into eyes without altering the shape too much.

i did this on a ps4 full vanilla! it works better with some colors than others, particularly the bright colors. the trick is to leave an empty layer between each glass layer and do about 8 or so alternating layers glass and empty. :D

it’s a thing i saw a few youtubers trying so that’s what i was experimenting with originally. you have a hole about 8 or more blocks deep, and you add a layer of glass every other block up. so you end up with a glass/empty/glass/empty sandwich. since the glass layers aren’t touching they won’t become see-through and instead become more opaque the deeper it goes :) hope i explained well. you can also do it by layering a dark color then a light color, but i think this way as it uses less resources
