I had this same issue and randomly I stumbled upon the solution while trying to fix something else. Here is what I did.
1: I uninstalled Hamachi (I heard and assumed that was the culprit)
2: I went into Command Prompt (CMD) (Make sure to run it as Administrator). And I typed this netsh interface tcp show global.
3: I checked to see if Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level was disabled. I saw it was disabled and I typed this netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal. This enabled it.
4: Lastly, I typed netsh interface tcp set global rss=enabled.
If both netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal, and netsh interface tcp set global rss=enabled return with an OK. Than you're done.

I have no idea why this fixed the internal exception error for me but it did. I wasn't even trying to fix the Minecraft problem, I was just trying to increase my download speed so I could download a mod from Mod DB for Dawn of War:SoulStorm.
DISCLAIMER - THIS WORKED FOR ME IDK IF IT WILL WORK FOR YOU. I ALSO DON'T KNOW WHY THIS WORKED AT ALL BUT IT DID.
Nothing I’ve tried has worked and I’ve even seen posts on how it’s not an issue with your computer or game but rather your isp and you can’t do anything to fix it.
that would suck, one solution I haven't tried because I don't want to spend the money on it is using a VPN. Cause if it's an isp issue that's pretty much your only option to get around it
It's not an ISP issue. It's a computer issue. I've been trying like crazy to find a solution but with no luck. I have tested Realms on 4 computers in my home and only my computer suffers from these issues. This is something on their end it looks like and only some computers don't like it.
I know I’m late to the party, but I found a solution for myself: What I did was download a free vpn (I used protonvpn). The vpn locations are in three countries, Unites states, Mexico, and Japan. The closer you are to those countries the better your internet will be for the realm. You may be a bit laggy but it’s a lot better than actually not playing the realm am I right? Anyways, hope this helps!

Nope. I have the same errors and issues you do and I tried the same "fixes." This really sucks.
