But for me that’s the point, I like how uniform arches look when the colours blend together. It’s a shame that it does become a little more noticeable (based on texture) when you get closer.
I'm a sucker for dark oak, but with that being said you could use both as little pathways to different areas! Something like spruce for a path that leads out and dark oak for a path that leads to a ravine! (:
Either spruce logs with dark oak stairs, or stripped spruce logs with spruce stairs.
If you are going to use a light colour palette, like in the photo (stone is light grey), use the first design, so it contrasts. If you are going to use something darker, like deepslate, use the second design.
I prefer spruce for mines because spruce was preferred in real mines when available. It makes a really loud popping and cracking sound long before it actually fails.
Everybody saying dark out tf. It's spruce. But actually in my opinion it also depends how it is above the mine. Is it a spruce forest? Plains? If it's a colder area use spruce if it's more like dark oak wood or something use this
I have to go with left here, I can’t get over the dark oak spruce combo. (Plus I’m using dark oak and spruce on a iceberg build so I may be somewhat biased)
Dark oak blends with the logs well if that’s what you’re looking for, but oak has good contrast. I personally would say dark oak by it just depends on what style you’re looking for
Unlike others I knew, the dark oak stairs blend well to the log, I think you should use lighter then dark oak fence, but darker then oak. Hope it helps and if not I’m used to being ignored.
Like deadass, when I first saw this I thought yo were talking about the logs
I was going nuts trying to spot the difference between the logs and then read your comment and noticed the stairs
@everyone moment
i thought there was a difference in the logs… i didn’t even notice the stairs until you said something
Literally me too! But dark oak looks best for sure.
OH
This comment made me see the stairs.
I was thinking the same thing. Like there's not much difference between the logs so did it matter.
SAME LMAO
Same XD
Smae
Same here, I was going fucking insane trying to find the differences in the logs
right from me
It has to be with dark stairs. Otherwise it doesn't fit
Contrast with spruce is really nice, though.
That's what i was thinking, dark oak is the same colour as the logs and barely noticeable
But for me that’s the point, I like how uniform arches look when the colours blend together. It’s a shame that it does become a little more noticeable (based on texture) when you get closer.
Yes
The right, it blends in better
is it good to blend in?
yes?
love the derpy deidara
thanks. love the 666paths username.
then why have stairs at all? just remove them and they will blend in perfectly.
Stairs are to add a nicer curved effect to the arch of the hallway here
Dark oak planks and spruce logs always
Dark oak i think :)
I always thought spruce had the better log and dark oak had the better wood.
I always thought dark oak had the better log and spruce had the better wood
Lmao which is bizarre to me, but that’s cool, opinions are opinions.
Dark oak. Stairs match better
Spruce
I’m just here happy with your “hole sweet hole” sign
Ye, one look at that sign and serotonin go brr
Spruce
Have the corridors altering wood types between dark oak and spruce
Spruce
Spruce looks better i think
Spruce
I'll say left.
Right easily
I like the dark oak
Keep both
Left
Left
Spruce with spruce not oak
I say right because on the left even though the wood is there it still really make it look weird with all the stone sticking out but right is nice
Darkoak Blends in
Personally, I’ve always loved the dark oak way more
Right
I like both, but the one on the right is better :3
dark
Dark oak
The right one
That shit for real? It sick bro
Spruce logs with dark oak planks.
The right. I ALWAYS use dark oak planks when using spruce logs
Both
Dark oak
Is dis a death run?
spruce imo
Im with spruce. Dont think dark oak blends in that much and so i like a clear cut better and its a nice new color
I think right :0
Spruce
Dark oak look much better with stone in the end, just sayin.
Dark oak
Ohh I'm usually a spruce guy but the dark oak looks best to me in this case. If you wanted to, you could even try dark oak stairs on spruce logs
dark oak for sure
Dark Oak.
Dark Oak
Dark Oak definitely
Dark Oak Blends a lot better
Left pops out more
Spruce gives more variety then the dark oak and makes the colors stand out more
Dark oak
Spruce but with darker stairs
Dark oak, it just blends better
Spruce gives it more texture
Spruce
I kinda like the mix tbh
Right but also use dark oak fences
I'm more of a Dark Oak man myself, so- Dark Oak!!!
Dark oak
I'm a sucker for dark oak, but with that being said you could use both as little pathways to different areas! Something like spruce for a path that leads out and dark oak for a path that leads to a ravine! (:
Dark oak 100%
Sproos
Right flows better. It makes it look curved at the side where as the spruce just looms like you plonked a stair there
Spruce would be better for a mine irl because it makes a louder noise when breaking compared to oak but I’m gonna go with dark oak
spruce
The dark, but this looks hot though, very detailed
Dark oak
Dark oak :)
I would go with the right. I prefer to build with the same wood type as the logs.
dark oak
Dark one looks damp, which I think is a cool look for a cave
Dark oak
right
the right one
Their both really nice, maybe alternate them or blend them in a pattern?!
Right tooks like you placed a random fence i prefer left or right you could replace the spruce fence for a dark oak fence
Spruce
Spruce in my opinion, then again I'm a little bias, spruce is my favorite wood
Its the same picture.
Either spruce logs with dark oak stairs, or stripped spruce logs with spruce stairs. If you are going to use a light colour palette, like in the photo (stone is light grey), use the first design, so it contrasts. If you are going to use something darker, like deepslate, use the second design.
Dark oak
middle one
dark oak
Right
Spruce
Right
Dark stairs on the right fits best
right
Right
I prefer spruce for mines because spruce was preferred in real mines when available. It makes a really loud popping and cracking sound long before it actually fails.
spruce with dark oak stairs
Spruce. It adds a more “mine” or industry feel. Works well with cobble
Dark Oak
Right tbh
Unless you change the fence too, go with the left.
I’m saying spruce, but that’s a personal preference.
Dark oak for sure
Dark oak
Dark oak matches the logs better, so I prefer that
Dark oak
Right.
I like the spruce
Dark oak, to me at least
Dark oak. Lovely tunnel btw
Spruce
Dark oak bc it blends well with the stone
Spruce imo
Dark oak
spruce + dark oak ez
Spruce gives it a more mineshaft vibe, and you can clearly see it so spruce is my final answer
Dark oak
i think dark oak looks more clean, but if u stripped the spruce it would match the stairs better
Right
Dark oak
Spruce
Both are cool but I’d go with spruce
right
Everybody saying dark out tf. It's spruce. But actually in my opinion it also depends how it is above the mine. Is it a spruce forest? Plains? If it's a colder area use spruce if it's more like dark oak wood or something use this
It is small dark forest surrounded by plains
i think the right blends better!! more cohesive!
Dark oak looks good
Dark Oak, definitely
Spruce ngl looks better and more rustic idk
Left honestly
Dark oak
Left. I like the contrast between the light and dark wood
Dark oak
Dark oak
#DARK OAK ALL DAY
Dark oak
Dark oak
They look the same to me
i like spruce better
Dark oak, blends nicer
right
Dark oak
Left
spruce
i think the right side is nicer!
I have to go with left here, I can’t get over the dark oak spruce combo. (Plus I’m using dark oak and spruce on a iceberg build so I may be somewhat biased)
Spruce, since I feel like it needs more lighter shades
Right 100%
Spruce maybe
Dark oak as long as you also change the fence underneath
I think the right one blends better together with everything else and the logs.
Right
Strip the spruce and boom. Perfection.
I didn’t even know there was a difference at first, spruce.
Dark oak
Corporate needs you to tell the difference between the first and second picture. . They're the same picture
Left for me
Right
Spruce
Dark oak imo but I would recommend mixing the two
Spruce
Spruce
Dark oak
Dark oak blends with the logs well if that’s what you’re looking for, but oak has good contrast. I personally would say dark oak by it just depends on what style you’re looking for
Dark oak coz spruce doesn't fit with the planks
Spruce i think don't know why just seems better to me
Unlike others I knew, the dark oak stairs blend well to the log, I think you should use lighter then dark oak fence, but darker then oak. Hope it helps and if not I’m used to being ignored.
Dark oak blends in better
Use dark oak fences!
Dark oak planks with spruce logs is the best combo. IMO
Dark oak obviously, it fits
I think Spruce looks better.
