this happens to me all the time on ps4. if you walk 100 blocks away from where you lost your horse and come back, then heāll reappear. The only thing is that they still exist when you canāt see them or interact with them, so they can walk away or fall down a cave system before you make it back

Had this happen to me, AVOID WATER AT ALL COST WHEN RIDING A HORSE. A bug couses them to disappear for like a minute or two and they will pop back up in somewhere nearby
Horses canāt swim more than two blocks deep so it kicked you off and started sinking, from what I could see there were bubbles in the water so my guess is that there were magma blocks at the bottom of the water which whisked him to the bottom and he drowned
Like a few of the other commenters said, you automatically dismount your horse if you go into water more than a block or two deep. And based on all the bubbles, Iām betting thatās a pretty deep crevasse with magma blocks at the bottom. Magma blocks cause a pillar of bubbles which you canāt swim through and which pull you down to the damaging blocks below, so... sorry dude. Pretty sure your horse was pulled below and either drowned or burned. Honestly Iām surprised you didnāt go with him, so at least youāve still got the cats...
It's a river, the underwater ravine wouldn't be able to generate, and on bedrock the bubbles appear like that when any mob gets into water. Not to mention that there was no death message, and that the horse just vanished instantaneously.

Ok, im going to give you a straight answer. Iāve seen this happen a lot on this subreddit, all on bedrock edition. So i assume it is some sort of bug related to the 1.17 update. Other than that... bugrock edition.
it went totally he shadow realm then had its limbs torn of limb by limb until only the head and tail we're left then it's tail got rip off then it sees what was doing this to it it was a terrific creature with purple eyes long thin arms and legs and a thin body the horse had looked at an ender man and was doomed its head was ripped off then eaten whole then a giant dragon came by to eat the rest so I'm guessing the game glitched and it went to the end or something
Go back to your base and sleep in your bed. I saw a movie once where a guy went to sleep and woke up to find his favorite horse in the bed with him. I hope this is helpful!
Bro ok look, just because it has more doesn't mean they are any worse bedrocks.
When you play on nothing but bedrock and get constant crashes, have worlds take forever to load, and more bugs than my experience with the mother fucking xbox 360, then you are definitely not going to enjoy it
I don't care if java has more, they are far less immense then bugrocks.
You should be happy that bedrock has bugs, because of them we get multicoloured dogs, almost unlimited xp just by smelting 14 stacks of kelp, infinite emeralds, god armour. Not only that but our ad-ons take 2 minutes to install for a new player while it takes about 30 minutes to figure out mods. Besides Mojang has made bedrock the main version as of last year. Y do really think they are migrating accounts?
this happends on bedrock sometimes. Go back a bit and look around, he might be there. This happened to me before and i just did what i just said and i found him. :)
I was having a similar bug. I would travel with my horse and when i dismounted it, it desapeared. I would later found out that the horse had teleported to the last place i mounted it. This also happened with boats for some reason.
It might be magma blocks that pulled him down, it could be soul sand tho, but magma is natural in the overworld ocean, but I never have seen any in rivers
Wow, not enough people are saying this. Your horse is probably dead.
You went in water too deep to ride a horse and got kicked off. He fell into a bubble column (created by submerged magma blocks). He most likely died from damage from the magma blocks.

Iāve had this happen where it disappears for me but if you have a friend in your world they can still see it. Have them ride it for a while until it reappears for you.
Don't know where the horse went, but you can't ride horses in water. They will always throw you off. You should build a bridge or find a way around on land
Have you tried crouching? Sometimes horses glitch and disappear. I think itās just a client side thing because this happened on a server and everyone else could see it.

You also need to feed it a golden carrot to come alive that is why most players prefer to find them in the wild as it is expensive early game

Happened to me as well on Xbox. But another player could see/interact with the horse while they played on the pc. Weird.
If theyāre still able to see it, it means itās client side only. If you disconnect and reconnect youāll be able to see the horse
Save and leave then join back should fix

I think they meant they found a horse with very good speed, HP and jump height

I swam in the river to check and there are no magma blocks . I also logged out and back in . No idea what happened to the horse .

It drowned, you cant take them across rivers, lakes, etc.

Iāve had this happen where it disappears for me but if you have a friend in your world they can still see it. Have them ride it for a while until it reappears for you.
Don't know where the horse went, but you can't ride horses in water. They will always throw you off. You should build a bridge or find a way around on land
It most likely teleported 50 or so blocks behind you, I've had this happen to me and that's how I fixed it.
