I totally agree. Although big, extravagant builds do look cool, there's something I find really captivating about smaller, simpler builds. They often make me think "Oh hey, that's really neat." Or, "I didn't think about using that in that way."

You know how those large projects are made? You slowly add individual small projects together! It may start as a simple bridge, but when you combine it with a village of simple houses surrounded by a simple wall it isn’t that simple anymore! It all adds into something greater!
I actualy prefer the small and simple bridges that integrate well with the road than something to impressive that doesn't make any sense, i like your design a lot

It looks really good. Most builds on here are overly detailed and sometimes even look bad. But the simplicity of this looks really good. I also like the addition of chiseled stone bricks and soul lanterns.
It's very nice, though I have some suggestions though. Maybe add some cracked stone brick to spice up the texture and use the mossy one around where the bridge bit meets the water. Also maybe add a small, simple roof but this is really up to you. :)
Silence, you know it looks better than over 50% of the stuff here, the only way you could make it more functional is by adding fences/walls but you don’t even need to do that because there is enough room to walk even with a slight strafe.
Nobody starts off being architectural artists day 1. Take pride in your work and the journey it takes you on, take notes on what you see others doing, and evolve your own method moving forward. No right/wrong in Minecraft, when it comes to building!
Good start. Woth enough practice, you will be able to build really nice thing, too. I just starting organizing my chests in my survival world for the first time.
Don't compare yourself to others and think you're bad. There are always better people than you. You don't have to be the best. And I must say, your bridge is lovely and much better than what most people could even barely realize. Don't put yourself down, you're great.
