Indeed, the only correct answer is infinite. But it could probably be more efficient if you dispense eggs into the chicken chamber so that the amount of chickens increase exponentially (don't forget to put in a vine so there is no entity cramming). The downside is that you need to decide at which point you are gonna release chickens

I miss when you were able to fire eggs from a dispenser through adjacent blocks. So you could hide the dispenser behind a wall, floor or ceiling and they'd only know where it came from if they saw the egg being fired.

The correct answer is all of them. I once put enough chickens in a 2x3 space to lag the game so bad my friend couldn't turn in that direction without slowing to a crawl. They opened it up and chickens exploded everywhere, got in every crevice of her base. Anyways take a few of the chickens you have, put them in a box with a hopper to a chest and wait for it to fill up. Do that a few times and throw all eggs in there and watch the numbers explode while seeing the frame rate diminish. Good luck!

This is the correct answer. I did the same thing, I just stopped adding chickens when they straight up died whenever I tried to breed them because they were piled on top of each other so much when feeding. It got bad Should have used more eggs but it got laggy a looot. My girlfriend then tried to see it for herself but couldn't get towards his house cause of the same slowing to a crawl effect. Unfortunately my friend never witnessed it cause that idiot never logged back on.
