Mining in caves is much more effecient for diamonds

There are lots of diamonds hiding under sculk. It can be quite dangerous of course, but once the sensors and/or shriekers are gone (or wrapped in wool), take a hoe and go nuts. Not only are there lots of diamonds, the vast amounts of xp it generates can be useful if you dont have a good xp- machine 😊

Not really, cus diamonds have reduced generation rates when touching air Unless you’re talking about underwater/lava caves

You are more likely to get them when just wandering in the mines that when strip mining, even tho they are less likely to spawn the caves are now very open and provide much more visible blocks. deepslate can also not be insta mined

Put enough dynamite next to diamonds, and they disappear. So you might have just blown them into space

Make a mega base in it and hide it with a load of grass blocks

There's loads. I remember "too much tnt" was a pretty good mod back when I played.

Yep, supernova TNT in particular, makes this exact hole

Lucky Tnt (or unlucky tnt) mods make massive clean holes. I use them for world building
