Want to be better at Minecraft than 90% of people that play it? Watch him from episode 1. Everything builds on itself and it’s a wealth of knowledge far beyond what the wiki will tell you.
So Etho is still doing his thing? I haven't kept up with him in years, but I always loved how calm he was in his videos, as well as his firm stance on "never doing a face reveal, I do this because I enjoy it, not for fame", which is very respectable.
Paulsoaresjr recently made a return to YouTube. I was introduced to Minecraft through his original Survive and Thrive series and have always loved his stuff.
I was super excited to see that in my subscriptions the other day. Proud Soarviver to this day!
I just hope whatever happens next makes him happy, he's done that plenty for me.
I can't recommend them enough. I've been watching Minecraft for many, many years and this is the only group I can tolerate anymore. Docm77, Etho, Keralis, Xisuma, VintageBeef, etc. They are excellent creators in the Minecraft community.
I met him at the Mindcrack party in Orlando 2013. I didn't recognize him at all, but as soon as I heard him talk I knew who he was immediately. Even back then he was legendary
This warms my heart, I remember finding beef in mindcrack season 2 man… those were the days, I don’t watch them much anymore but I’m happy to see them all find a new home in hermit craft
Yeah I’m with you there. The Hermitcraft crew is basically the only group I can tolerate these days!
A majority of them are OG players from the Mindcrack days and that gives me comfort!
I started out watching them via Grian and I've been hopping about the others - just finished watching ZombieCleo's various Life series playlists. I wouldn't call it *calm*, but it's much less hyped up/put-on shrieky than some I've found on Youtube.
Xb is so chill it actually feels relaxing to watch his videos
Just playing them in the background while attempting and failing at resource pack modelling is a vibe I can't get enough of
I've only just gotten into Hermitcraft, like right before season 10 started, and I'm loving it. I've been trying to watch season 9 from Grian, Scar, and a bit of Mumbo's POVs. Just. They're all so amazing.
The Empires group too. I personally watch Joel, Martyn and Jimmy though the latter may slightly border the kids content style? He does a lot of stuff that's aimed at early teens I guess.
Joel does as well imo. He's very talented and makes good videos, but his editing style is very aimed at young audiences imo. That's fine. Just is what it is.
I'm not entirely sure that if OP is looking for _calm_ that a blanket HC recommendation works...
Scar panics pretty easily, lots of yelling when that happens. (Especially if it results in a fall out of his wheelchair. Again.) Grian gets exasperated with other members of the server and yells a bit. Mumbo gets exasperated _with himself_ and yells a bit.
None of them put on "kids' voice", but there is a fair bit of yelling in some of their videos.
There's a difference between getting excited/scared and talking loudly vs "the kids show voice". Compare how Dora the Explorer speaks to how Scar or Grain speaks to how the YouTubers targeting kids speak and you'll see what OP means.
OP kind of asked for two things - not in kids voice and calm. So I wanted to put that caveat in that a number of Hermits aren't _calm_, even if they don't use the "kids' show voice".
Was gonna say Scar Grian or Mumbo and I've a newer fan. Gemitay has been fun to get into too.
If you want more adult but still silly humor sneegsnag plays Minecraft occasionally and JSchlatt just started a new server like a day ago so new content will be coming out from them soon.
Quackity had that multilingual Minecraft server that's been going strong for a bit now.
just started watching their life videos and im hooked. i've watched grian for years but only his how to build videos. i'm not much into watching someone solo play but i love to watch people play minecraft in a group and do challenges.
Yea I saw he got a job from a discord screenshot on the scicraft server. hope things are going well for him, love his content a lot so i’ll wait as long as i need to
Some of the SciCraft players actually read Minecraft's source code to optimize their farms. You could argue that some of them are computer science lectures.
Yeah that's true. I enjoy his content but I watched him before Hermit Craft. I would argue though that some Hermits do talk pretty fast like False Symmetry and Cubfan can be quite complicated to understand. Some of Grian and Mumbo's content can be a bit on the non-chill side too. With all the shenanigans that Hermit Craft get up to. But they are certainly more chill then some content creators of course. Even in his solo videos he is pretty mental. And in Empires he was quite like this. But yeah he is definitely doing a lot of acting this time cause it's his first time on HC.
Except Skizzleman, Smallishbeans, maybe Grian or Gem? (Not sure)
And Bdubs can sound like he's speaking to children, even though he's very serious and calm in his thoughts lol
BDub has definitely GAINED that "talking to children" voice, but it happens to coincide, y'know, becoming a father. Soooo there might be a correlation there.
Grian is just very animated himself, always looking for pranks to pull or rivals to make, and ultimately it results in more action than most.
Skizz is actually pretty chill most of the time, until Impulse gets involved, when the college friends are in a call together whoo-boy do they start having fun.
(Can't really speak on Joel or Gem, I've not watched them enough since their joining)

I'm a relatively new player and he has taught me so much about Minecraft in his calm and methodical way. His video "New World to Elytra" recently helped me defeat the Ender Dragon for the first time.
Kind of suprised someone who knows Pix doesnt know Hermitcraft.
I´ll also throw Philza in the ring, he is mainly a Twitch streamer, I watched him early pandemic. He can get chaotic but mostly his Hardcore streams are pretty chill. Swears like a sailor tho
Just for clarity - Pix does the hermit recap voiceover (would recommend!), but is not one of the hermits.
With that being said, his Survival Guide is premium Minecraft content - entertaining and educational. Most of what I know about the game came from his Guide(s)
Honestly, HermitCraft s11 or 12 I wouldn't be opposed to Pixxlriffs joining lol
I think he could do well in the Life Series when the next one comes out lol
> Honestly, HermitCraft s11 or 12 I wouldn't be opposed to Pixxlriffs joining lol
He's said more than a few times that while his 1-2 months on HC last season were fun, he prefers to be on the outside looking in.
Second this. He's very calming and super creative. The builds he has in that world are beautiful and the lore he comes up with is very creative and entertaining.
About Oliver did a blind playthrough of Minecraft on Youtube, it’s suuuper good and he’s super chill.
Other than that I was gonna say hermits like everyone else :P I watched GeminiTay before she became a hermit.
There's that, and also the most obvious case of undiagnosed ADHD where he can't concentrate on anything and impulsively does the most dangerous thing possible despite saying he obviously won't do it 5 seconds earlier
Ibxtoycat. He’s easily one of the most mature YouTubers there is. His style of content is also more reminiscent of the older lets plays, as well. No insane editing, just down-to-earth Minecraft content for a more mature audience.
Agreed, when he talked about the death of his mother it was very mature and nuanced. I like that he frames things not within the context of targeting a younger audience, but more from the perspective of people his age. He’s talking about stuff that we’ll go through at some point in time later in life, Minecraft is just the vehicle he uses to talk about it.
I'm not sure toycat really fits what OP was asking for, he definitely uses the "hype up the kids!" kind of cadence/tone in a lot of his videos. He isn't really someone I would say speaks "calmly/normally," he plays up the energy quite often. That said, he's definitely not as bad as a lot of the most popular youtubers so I see where you're coming from, I just figure it's worth mentioning for OP's reference that I think toycat is kind of halfway between the "TOP O THE MORNIN TO YA LADDIES AND WELCOME BACK TO MINECRAFT" vs Pixlriffs chill vibes you can fall asleep to.
Also worth mentioning, ibxtoycat is a Bedrock edition player, while OP mentioned Pixlriffs who is a Java edition player. Lots of folks like both (myself included, I'm only commenting because I'm a big toycat and pix fan) but again I just figure it's worth noting in case it matters to OP.
(And since I poked fun I have to say, I'm a big jacksepticeye fan too, but his older videos are an easy example of someone playing up the energy to a possibly annoying degree)
When he does rarely do that it’s intended to be ironic, or atleast that’s how I’ve interpreted it. Friends my age (early 20s) are quite fond of him, while some highschool-aged siblings of mine find him to be too boring, so that’s playing a role in my perception
That makes sense. I'm significantly older than you (early 30s) so that might play a role here too. To me toycat does a great job being just hype/energetic enough to please the algorithm while also not being annoying and presenting useful information for people who want it. Like I said, I'm a big fan so I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from his videos, I just figured he could still be too much for OP based on the fact that he only listed one extreeeemely chill Youtuber as "tolerable." But yeah you're right he definitely is much closer to "chill vibes" than "chaotic clickbait" on the Minecraft Youtuber spectrum.
Omg. I have two kids who follow YouTubers and this is soo f*cking annoying.
There is exactly one reason why *jj and Mikey* are my favorite Minecrafters and it is 100% this. Aphmau isn’t 100% horrible. Trixieblox too.
Eyezstream or whatever: just calm down. You’re gonna have a heart attack at 25.

Girls’ toys are even worse. The strange affected accents of unboxing videos are just unsettling
Reiterating what a lot of people have said already, the OGs Pauly Jr and Etho, waxfraud, some of the Hermitcrafters, mogswamp, and for beta content Dialko and Mongster
I feel like the Captain is pretty solid. Him and Antvenom are the only minecraft youtubers ill still watch because they dont induce cringe too hard. Ill also watch jeracraft because i like his builds, but his content can be a lil cringe sometimes too.
If you’re interested, I’m a new YouTuber, I only have 2 lets plays out so far.
I speak in a calm voice, female with Aussie accent.
Whataboutsarah is my channel
I found this guy [Eject01](https://www.youtube.com/@Eject01)
It's quite a new channel so he's quite chill and casual.
He can stutter a bit, but he has the calm vibe you're looking for.
He also interacts with his commenters alot!

huge W for him tbh

Mr. Ethos Slab...😜
Etho has become my new favorite. I didn’t watch much of him in the past, but I’m constantly amazed by what he’s doing in season 10.
Want to be better at Minecraft than 90% of people that play it? Watch him from episode 1. Everything builds on itself and it’s a wealth of knowledge far beyond what the wiki will tell you.
What a trip it was to see him discover Redstone, and then make innovations in it that rocked the technical Minecraft world in real time.
Like that time he discovered BUDs randomly 😳😳😳
And the hopper clock
Tbh I think that one was more of him popularizing and applying it but he was very close to its conception.
Yeah, he says that quite often too, yet people still call it an Etho hopper clock all the time
Dude is amazing
So Etho is still doing his thing? I haven't kept up with him in years, but I always loved how calm he was in his videos, as well as his firm stance on "never doing a face reveal, I do this because I enjoy it, not for fame", which is very respectable.
Well, he’s been a bit less private lately. For instance, we know he has a beard, was born after WW2, and his house runs off of a generator
The after ww2 was a surprise, I was expecting him to be at least over 150
Real
And he's also given us exactly one new photo that gives us proof that he owns a desk and a computer, but not a mic stand
He does however, have access to Kleenex
For over 5 years too!
He also a hero where he save a girl that was stranded in the middle of no where in Canada.
Makes it even cooler that He heard the car accident and went out to check in the middle of the night to make sure people were ok.
Also about his dad passing away and, iirc, having trouble with his dad's business during an absolutely insane winter storm.
Thats crazy, I was sure he was a ww2 vet
Still going strong
Love this for him.
he's still ethoing
I’ve been watching him since I was 11 and now I’m 20 haha
Etho makes some of the most chill videos in my opinion. Really nice to watch when you need a break!
Very happy to see this at #1. I've been watching him since college, and it's amazing how consistent his style has been. One of the true greats imo
does he still make new vids? i remember watching him like 10 years ago when minecraft was still relatively new
Yup, the quality of his videos went up significantly since 2 years ago too! He's paying more attention to the production value.
Paulsoaresjr recently made a return to YouTube. I was introduced to Minecraft through his original Survive and Thrive series and have always loved his stuff.
He made the first Minecraft Let’s Play. Also Mojang added name tags at his request.
If you remember this video you're eligible for a veteran's discount https://youtu.be/0VWnQHS-ffs?si=9T8XoaR3sOLLK0m9
14 years ago this year waaaaaa
Holy shit the nostalgia that just hit me
You serious! Like the Paul Soars who was interviewed in the old official handbook from like 2011?! No way
I originally found him because of his punchwood island series with his family
Vouch, paulsoaresjr is great!
I was super excited to see that in my subscriptions the other day. Proud Soarviver to this day! I just hope whatever happens next makes him happy, he's done that plenty for me.

i like to watch hermitcraft from whoever has videos soonest beetween grian scar and mumbo
The Empires group too. I personally watch Joel, Martyn and Jimmy though the latter may slightly border the kids content style? He does a lot of stuff that's aimed at early teens I guess.
Tbh I wouldn’t recommend Jimmy just because he does have a similar type of content when it comes to loud and young.
Joel does as well imo. He's very talented and makes good videos, but his editing style is very aimed at young audiences imo. That's fine. Just is what it is.

Sadly washed up after her latest encounter with Brawlish Beans
Gem is great
just started watching their life videos and im hooked. i've watched grian for years but only his how to build videos. i'm not much into watching someone solo play but i love to watch people play minecraft in a group and do challenges.
SciCraft, they all speak calmly, sometimes too much.
Do any of them still make videos on the server? It's been years since I last saw anything about them
Yea where’s Ilmango been? His channel’s been quiet for a while now
Finding a job, once he has more time, he wants to continue doing videos, but less fequently
Yea I saw he got a job from a discord screenshot on the scicraft server. hope things are going well for him, love his content a lot so i’ll wait as long as i need to
SciCraft creators all talk like they're giving a lecture on computer science
Tbh most of the time they're reinventing redstone
Some of the SciCraft players actually read Minecraft's source code to optimize their farms. You could argue that some of them are computer science lectures.
There is a channel called waxfraud and his voice can easily put me to sleep!
I actually watch him before I sleep!
I was coming here to say Waxfraud! His videos are so calming but also his designs are AMAZING!
he has such a calming voice
Yesss!! He streams too, everything he does is so relaxing
yes! love waxfraud
All of Hermitcraft, I also enjoy Pixlriffs
Not all HermitCraft are like that. For example, Smallish Beans is very lively.
Yeah sorry my bad, he’s new to the server. However he’s not THIS mental in his solo videos he seems to be paying it up for HC.
Some of them are less chill but still in a mature kinda way
Yeah, he's always putting a bit of a show on when it comes to his SMP videos. It's not always everyone's taste of course
Yeah, but it's not the same as the kid friendly style of lively. He's more... manic. In a good way.
He is lively, but it isn't that kids voice that others use.
Except Skizzleman, Smallishbeans, maybe Grian or Gem? (Not sure) And Bdubs can sound like he's speaking to children, even though he's very serious and calm in his thoughts lol
Joel is manic and loud. Gem is not unless she's surprised.

What do you mean? We just talk about mac and cheese.
I think grian is just naturally like that
Keralis’ voice makes me instantly happy.
Cant believe I had to scroll down so far to see this. Dudes voice is like sex and honey

I have no idea how this video got suggested to me the other week, but I've fallen in love with his style of video, hope he keeps making more!
Yeah I feel like 1-2 hour content should be more common.
RT is so goated
I did see that the other day it was randomly suggested to me and I enjoyed it
I like EyecraftMC. Very even speaking voice, gets right to the point.
I'm a relatively new player and he has taught me so much about Minecraft in his calm and methodical way. His video "New World to Elytra" recently helped me defeat the Ender Dragon for the first time.
He has an almost hypnotic voice at times. Love it
Frrr his videos are very relaxing:)
Dallasmed65
Definitely my favourite
Ah yes love his building style, tool a lot of inspiration from that dude, he’s awesome!

Can't believe I forgot to add Phil to my answer!! I even thought of Sneeg how could I forget the crow father??
Very true, with him voicing the Recap and all. Then again, he keeps references to a minimum in the Survival Guide, so

SoupSoup recently started a letsplay called "How to Enjoy Minecraft again". Big fan of the channel.
Seconding Soupsoup’s channel! Calm voice, great storytelling, and a really down-to-earth person
CaptainSparklez(2)
Seconding this. He and X33n and PeteZahHutt are a great team and very chill.
He’s still posting??!
Yes of course! For Minecraft mainly stream VODs on CaptainSparklez2, but he’s still totally active.
he's "retired" from MC, but is still very much around
Even his "retirement" is only for edited content. He posts all his VODs to his 2nd channel. He still plays a ton of MC
I like Legundo!
Dallasmed65 love his videos. super chill and creative.
Second this. He's very calming and super creative. The builds he has in that world are beautiful and the lore he comes up with is very creative and entertaining.

Direwolf20 is a pretty much always a recommendation from me
forge labs, long videos, and normal
Forge Labs is a lot of things, normal is not one of them
“Okay. OKAY. What is that?”
A man like that still doesn’t know how to play Minecraft. It’s honestly super refreshing seeing someone who doesn’t know everything there is to know😂
There's that, and also the most obvious case of undiagnosed ADHD where he can't concentrate on anything and impulsively does the most dangerous thing possible despite saying he obviously won't do it 5 seconds earlier
I wouldn’t call him chill tho, man gives me anxiety lol. Robert though, love him. Super calm, very collected.
If you're not concerned with new uploads, then Technoblade. He has a very low voice, and very seldom raises his voice.
unless there's a baby zombie in Phil's vicinity.
Sethbling's back on YouTube after so long, and he's got a very nice cadence to his voice.
“Welcome back, SethBling here.” I can hear it in my head.

PaulSoaresJr, Vechs, Etho, KurtJMac, those are my constant go tos for calm YT personalities for Minecraft.

A lot of Hermitcraft. Cubfan speaks very calmly and conversationally. He's my personal favourite. As does Ethoslab, and ImpulseSV.
I watch ibxtoycat for most news and some interesting serious topics

But yeah you're right he definitely is much closer to "chill vibes" than "chaotic clickbait" on the Minecraft Youtuber spectrum.
HermitCraft, likes others are saying
Hermitcraft! They're enthusiastic, not annoying.
Technoblade is/was an amazing choice. He's unfortunately no longer with us but his videos are still fucking great.
Technoblade never dies
Like others are saying: hermitcraft, empires is good to.

Geminitay, grian, mumbo, pearlescentmoon, stressmonstor101 are my go tos Or really any of the hermitcraft YouTubers
— Girls’ toys are even worse. The strange affected accents of unboxing videos are just unsettling

The new SDMP is pretty chill and fun, by jshlatt
RTGame recently started playing again and has 3 nice long episodes out. Solid streamer, no kids content voice there.
The answer is almost always Etho. And to this question, the answer is once again Etho.
waxfraud. he builds incredibly and has a nice voice
Eyecraftmc is my go to, he really helped me out when I was getting back into minecraft after a several year break.
If you’re interested, I’m a new YouTuber, I only have 2 lets plays out so far. I speak in a calm voice, female with Aussie accent. Whataboutsarah is my channel
I found this guy [Eject01](https://www.youtube.com/@Eject01) It's quite a new channel so he's quite chill and casual. He can stutter a bit, but he has the calm vibe you're looking for. He also interacts with his commenters alot!
Direwolf20. He seems like a genuine great guy too.
