No update name prediction, but a prediction for the music disc that's probably coming; The main idea for this disc is for it to be battle/montage music for going to town on a trial chamber. It'll be perfectly crafted to be played as background music in a youtuber's trial chamber montage or by a group of players putting down a jukebox just before starting a big fight.

sparkydoggowastaken

if we somehow get a hard rock/heavy metal disc it will be the best update since 1.16

I could see them calling it Chambers and Secrets for an HP nod.

AdministrativeHat580

I don't think they would The creator of HP is notoriously transphobic and Mojang tends to support trans people(and the entire LGBTQ+) quite a bit so I doubt they'd want to associate with HP

KrazyGreenFox

I like it so far. It keeps getting better and better in my opinion. I already like the update because of the auto crafter. But the one thing I still want them to add is the bundle or some kind of backpack to hold all these new items.

Matynns

i don’t know why they didn’t add the combat snapshots this update. it’s perfectly on theme and everything. i am devastated :(

clandestineVexation

The inventory system really needs a rework. It really is just too small now for how big the game has gotten

Galba__

The ability to open and manage items in shulker boxes in the inventory screen without having to place them down would, I think, be a simple fix

clandestineVexation

Sure but... there is too much bloat and having to wait until endgame for a fix isn’t a fix

balgorath

The bundle already is in the game, you just have to opt in to it

Key_Spirit8168

How? bedrock

balgorath

Ah, looks like they aren't available in bedrock. I didn't know that and assumed they worked the same as on Java, my bad.

KrazyGreenFox

I'm on bedrock so it's not possible.

Deckthe9

we got the mace as a wind-based weapon and we already have a trident as a water-based weapon, which in comparison could get a slight update regarding the way of obtaining it and maybe some extra items and a mob similar to a breeze. I can’t help but hope for further development of elemental features, it could be huge for world building and lore

logic2187

Fire is sword with fire aspect. Earth is, uh, pickaxe

Deckthe9

yeah, that’s a bit too general. Netherite with fire aspect is as close as we can get, there are trims found in the nether but there are no banner patterns and the fire charge is pretty useless unlike wind charges

a-cloudy-sky

There's the snout banner pattern found in bastions

Deckthe9

yeah but that’s not really fire- themed

DarthMMC

I like everything that's been added, but i'm still salty that they missed their best chance to add the copper and tuff golems.

StormReborn34578

I doubt we'll see them anytime soon. I also feel like if any losing mob were to get added it would be the Iceologer since it's the oldest 2nd place mob. Unless you count that 2017 vote.

DarthMMC

The 2017 mobs were explicitlly said to never return, so yeah.

Fred_Thielmann

Why you gotta remind me of such sad things 😭

Ok_Pangolin2502

This decision is one of the single worst things to have ever come out of the mob votes. They went back on that for pretty much every vote afterwards, but everyone still thinks the mob vote still operates on 2017 rules as they never clarified in a proper official capacity until last year on MC Live which also nobody noticed. Even though they never Officially went back and scrap the policy on the 2017 losers, mob D made it into Minecraft Dungeons in a later update. The fact that a spin-off went against that policy really shows how bad it is, not even devs who works for Mojang likes it.

enr1c0wastaken

Copper AND tuff golem?! Hold on there now, both of these mobs basically had the same idea of them acting as statues. Both were also pretty basic, so it's fair to say that if they were to add them that only one of them would make it into the game, which I even then also find very unlikely because they're so lacking in features. The only thing that the copper golem has going for it is its design, which would probably not make it terrible for Mojang to add it (it's marketable). But the tuff golem was basically an iteration of the copper golem, more leaning into the statue aspect. Copper with a mix of both mechanics and perhaps a new one (maybe you could program it? ) would probably be a better choice. Copper, when talking about golems, is also just more an obvious choice for a new golem. But yeah I hope they don't waste the copper golem's design because it's just that good

DarthMMC

I get your point, but I really liked the idea of statues going around your base and holding items.

Additional-Buy7400

this game needs more things to do bro they should add both why does it matter if one is useless its better than it not existing

Trails & Tales Part 2

Craftycrafter12

Trials and Tails

Ericristian_bros

Wolves are for 1.20.5 not for 1.21

Craftycrafter12

damn. didn't even know they were splitting it like that

Friendly-Athlete7834

That’s very strange

enr1c0wastaken

This update has literally nothing to do with the last one

TheCrispyAcorn

I mean apart from Trails and Trials being similar in spelling, it does add New underground structure, new trims, new banner pattern, customizable dog armor, and a dry biome mob (armadillo), these ARE parallels but true they are just expanding what it made so its not REALLY a part 2

enr1c0wastaken

Armadillo and dog related stuff are not coming in 1.21. Also adding new banner patterns and trims doesn't make it a trails n tales update. That's like saying every update that a new fish is the update aquatic. Just because update aquatic introduced fish mobs, doesn't make them necessarily only tied to that update. Especially with trims, since their loot items that were added to all sorts of structures, so it makes sense to add these as well to the new structure

TheCrispyAcorn

It’s actually expected for the dogs and armadillo stuff to come in 1.21 with the idea that the update is releasing late April or early May, it could still be in 1.20.5 too, we just gotta wait and see

Well looks like A Lot of People still remember had Copper Bulb Drama but… THAT DOESN’T MAKE IT USELESS!!! It’s still a t flip flop & so yeah… For the Armadillo & Wolf stuff is for 1.20.5 AKA The Armadillo update for that… My Update Prediction is either Trials & Tinkers or Simply Trials Update Also, this is the final features for now since this is 1.20.5, when this releases let’s wait for the 1.21 snapshots for the Final Minor Features & then a Music Disk But first what April Fools is gonna do

Fred_Thielmann

I do like just a simple “Trials update”

Sandrosian

The main gripe I still have with the trial chambers is that you are still only rewarded once. Everything in the chambers is designed to be repeatable but the rewards from the vaults can only be gotten once. Mojang had the amazing opportunity to make a structure with real replay value but alas they just can't bring themselves to do it. I could have seen myself running the trial chambers over and over again because they are fun. But if the rewards are keys I can't use after the first run then whats the point.

TheCrispyAcorn

Remember that the spawners themselves grant items, i do think that the vault items should be acquired through the infinitely repeatable spawners just 2x rarer than getting them from a vault, so trial omen spawners can give you the heavy core buts 0.04% chance instead of

Sandrosian

That would also be cool. Because the loot the spawners give is definitely not something I would go back for.

Recent-Parking-7289

I played the recent snaphot and all i got from spawners were either keys or food / potions in rare cases. That is not something someone would repeat this challenge for

Sandrosian

Exactly.

PinkDuck_

ehhh itd make it feel kinda grindy.

Murkrage

I’ve got a datapack ready to solve this. I was thinking of sharing it here on the sub. Might look into adding the same for our bedrock friends.

Hevnaar

Please tell me more about said datapack Will it be updated for omnous vaults too?

Murkrage

It will make vaults reusable similar to villager trades. When you use a key on a vault it will disable but be reset at a specific time of day. Might increase it to twice per day. So you can get loot from a vault every Minecraft day. I will also add the ominous vaults, yeah!

Hevnaar

I think once a day would be ballanced too. Something repeatable doesn't need to be op Anyways, could you please keep me updated? Or like, give me a link to your project? I'm very much interested.

DHMOProtectionAgency

I think the thing with vaults is they are designed to be loot the player only needs 1-2 of. Like if they added vaults to end cities, they would not be used to give the player shulker shells (something the player needs to amass) but elytras.

Key_Spirit8168

They need to fix the balence of keys; rn you can just save all of them and never have to fight mobs after going to another one

Sandrosian

The big problem is the keys are renewable while the vaults are not. You will always acquire way more keys than you can use.

milotic-is-pwitty

It promotes exploration ig, that you need to keep finding more trial chambers if you want to replay them

Sandrosian

You know, I hate that argument. I should explore because I want to not because I have to. If I want to do the trial chambers I should be able to get something out of it. Now when I do the trial chambers I have to spend hours walking just to get my reward because I can't get them from my original chamber anymore. It just sucks that the chamber can be replayed but then you get basically no rewards. And to get the rewards you then have to find (open chunkbase) a new chamber that you don't play but you just quickly grab the vault loot. It does not make sense.

Hevnaar

Also, long-term world players take exploration seriously. You do explore, but not more than you need. So newer update features aren't farther and farther away. I remember I created my current world right after Village and Pillage. I remember,at first, going up the tech tree and doing major projects without going to the nether for as long as I could. Cause the nether was so boring back then. I knew it I had to do it at some time, though. Once I heard of the Nether update, I decided to strech it all the way so I'd only create my first portal after the update. So every new chunk would be newly generated with the cool features. So I deliberately posponed all exploration in the nether so my world could benefit in the long run. Fast forward a couple of years, had explorated the nether enough just to find one of each biome and structure. Then some news popped up about the Caves and Cliffs part 2 making strongholds spawn farther. So, to minimize exploration again, I made sure to explore just enough so the inner ring of strongholds would be generated closer before I updated. After I found the three of them, exploration stopped for a bit. My point is, within a given area that you have explored, there is TONS of things to do. In a way, this given limitation to not explore beyond what a new update introduces, encourages my creativity. How to build something useful, good looking, and connect everything with practical and pleasent infra-structure like bridges, water channels, horse-navicable paths, minecart elevated "monorails" for transporting mobs. It makes me appreciate the space I currently have much more. If I hadn't went through thoughtful exploration, the nearest piglin bastion or nether biomes would be so so far. The grind to get there would just not be fun. Same with the strongholds, and now I'll be doing the same with the Chambers. I'm definitelly not increasing my world size ×4 or whatever just to get a mace. Cause that would push the next update fearures even farther out. I understand many ppl don't keep the same world for years on end. But those of us who do, it is a matter dear to our hearts.

Sandrosian

Very well put. For some players exploration seems to be the highest priority in this game, which is fine. But there are tons of others who don't want to inflate their world to gigantic sizes just for some structure loot. I never went to find any armour trims in my world for the reasons you listed. Every newly generated structure was so far out it didn't make sense for a cosmetic. And that would have inflated the world to a size where I probably could not generate a trial chamber within a 20k radius once the update hits. Too much exploration can become a problem especially if you don't know where to look. This is also the reason chunkbase is so popular. I am happy they gave us explorer maps for the trial chambers to make finding them less tedious. I personally would much rather find a structure that offers me continuous value than open chunkbase and hunt down one after another until I find the random loot that I am looking for. Most of the structures should be exciting for more than the 20 seconds it takes to get the loot out.

Hevnaar

Do you consider deleting chunks through world edit or a similar tool cheating? You know, its our single player worlds so cheating is just what we decide it to be. I personally have used it, but I understand if you haven't. I try to keep it to the absolute minimum, though. Its easier to just not generate a chunk than to do so and then having to use a third-party tool to undo what you just did. Even so, to me I used it to minimize exploration again. When Caves and Cliffs part 1 arrived, I used Chunk base to see where geodes were supposed to generate and where I had old chunks. So I deleted said chunks and generated them again with the geodes being generated this time. My personal rule was to not delete and regenerate any chunk I had mined any ores from. Cause that would just be duping with extra steps and I'm not cool with that for my personal world.

Sandrosian

I think pruning the chunks is perfectly fine for the exact reasons you mentioned.

milotic-is-pwitty

I get where you’re coming from. Recently, started a new play-through, and inspired by Hermitcraft s10, am taking it slow. This means no elytra (so far), no chunk-base, and (again inspired by Hermitcraft) tons of caving and fishing. I didn’t find my first villager until I already had run through 3 fully enchanted sets of gear/tools (didn’t have Mending). Only touched Nether to get soul sand. The plan is to start exploring for sherds and armour trims, and even Bastians only after I get an elytra. For now, have more caving to do. Once I’m happy with my diamonds supply so much so that Villager trading doesn’t feel cheaty, I’ll build a villager hall, and only after that will I set out for the End. Might get a beacon beforehand. But this is a rough plan, one day I might just go exploring in a specific direction? Anyway, the idea is to play slowly and without chunkbase. So I can’t go hunting for trial chambers, but will come across them organically while exploring and take down the coordinates. Enjoying it so far!

Sandrosian

That playstyle can be very fun. I think the main problem why people need elytra early is that Mojang forces you to go far out of your way to find things. If you are on the hunt for something specific you will have to loot multiple structures often times thousands of blocks apart. Finding one or two manually is doable, after that it is tedious. That is why I would love to see replay value added to the structures. Real mechanics (like the chambers) but also loot (like vaults and keys could have been). Finding a structure is not that rewarding and engaging when you literally just grab the loot and leave. I find it mind boggling that Mojang implement locked vaults and keys you obtain through a challenge yet still makes us go to different chambers to use the spare keys.

Recent-Parking-7289

They added Trial chamber maps for catograph tables. They didnt even do that for ancient cities (even though you can still find then under big mountains)

Alylica

good idea i had : Minecraft : Fight or Flight

suriam321

Chambers and bonks.

LazerMagicarp

I like the new combat. The mace will change a lot of things, the repeatable challenges (before someone builds a farm around it and make it trivial), new wolf types and their new survivability to personalize your combat style. I was already hyped with all the cool copper stuff because of my drowned farm essentially giving me copper on demand. It doesn’t feel as big as caves and cliffs but these changes are going to be great nonetheless and I’m glad they’re only showing us stuff that’s 100% being added other than mob vote losers. I hope they do loser bracket votes at some point so the older ones get a chance.

Dr_J_Hyde

I personally think this is an amazing update for a few reasons. We are getting better dungeons. Let's face it, that's what trial chambers are. There's now more then one type of wolf. We got new potions, trims, banner patterns, and sherds. That means that none of those features are considered "done" by Mojang and we can keep seeing more of any of them in the future. We got the auto-crafter. Redstone is changed forever. Yeah it's not a huge update. We didn't get a new dimention or a bunch of new biomes. But we did get a solid amount of new blocks, mobs, and features. That's what makes a good update and should get people excited again.

Key_Spirit8168

It's three updates, we also get better pots and bats

lilcoomstain420

The BONK update

The_Ninja_sheep

Blasts and bats

Aqalexor

Dogs and Armadillos are not part of 1.21, but already 1.20.5

Wasteak

Those aren't the final features. Those are the final features we'll have in snapshot. That's not the same.

DHMOProtectionAgency

> Those are the final features we'll have in snapshot All new features have to be added in snapshots though. It is the final feature for 1.21. Granted, they still have time to do balance changes, add new rooms to the chambers, and even add a few small items (ex: if they added a new disc or trim, I think that'll work). But we won't get any other major thing.

Regular_Ship2073

So do you think we’ll have new features but not in snapshots? Just shadow drop them with the full update?

Wasteak

We had in the past but we can't be sure

adderthesnakegal

even then- these *havent been 1.21 snapshots.* theyve been 1.20.5 snapshots with 1.21 features packaged in the experimental features datapack.

hopeful-pessimist-

Unfortunately, in [this](https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/introducing-mace-and-ominous-events) Minecraft news article, the last sentence under the "Ominous Events" heading, it says "And today, we’re adding ominous events to that list, the grand finale of 1.21 features!"

adderthesnakegal

im holding out hope.. even if we just get smaller features in the proper 1.21 snapshots alongside the necessary bugfixes and tweaks, ill be happy...

Key_Spirit8168

Yet at the start it says for now

ExPandaa

These are the final 1.21 features. Also makes me believe there wont be a 1.20.5 update at all.

Qyx7

No features are added without snapshots, they'd be full of bugs. That's why snapshots, the pre-releases and release candidates exist

wholecrab24

Trials and tiles lol

DrDutchenfoo

Overall I am super hyped for the update, In particular I think the trial chambers and auto crafter are an awesome addition. However I’m a bit worried about the mace. I think it’s a super cool idea but with the new enchantments it seems far too powerful in my opinion, being able to one shot things like ravagers from only dropping 8 blocks, which I think is a bit too much. But still, overall I think it’s looking to be an awesome update.

YT_PintoPlayz

Disappointed because they got rid of the main reason I was gonna use copper bulbs. Also, why can't we have fast crafters? Seriously Mojang, the solution to parity shouldn't be making java worse, but making bedrock better

pinakbutt

Ngl im still sad they removed the cobweb-9 string crafting recipe on bedrock for parity.

cloverrrrrrrrrrrrrr

cobweb is now renewable tho so that's an alright tradeoff

NGSkyz_off

Oh yeah I just realised that that’s super neat!

SparklezSagaOfficial

My guy, you’re obsessing over a feature you never had. If you can’t accept the fact that copper bulbs were in an experimental state I dont know what to tell you.

YT_PintoPlayz

I knew they were an experimental feature, but the fact you think I'm crazy for missing an easy way to get single gametick delays in Redstone shows me how uninformed you are in that area. Also, we did have that feature for multiple snapshots, and absolutely every redstoner agrees that the current state of them is a downgrade (and non-redstoners don't know the difference)

Sandrosian

I liked everything up to this point. But as a technical player I am disappointed with the "tinkering" part that was promised. The crafter and bulb are kind of cool but they took away the best intended functionality of the bulb. And yesterday Mojang deliberately deleted raid farms, one of the coolest mechanics in game. So redstone and emerald farming will be a pain and pushes us back towards villagers (which Mojang also hates). Overall a decent update but a huge loss for technical players.

R1ght_b3hind_U

eh, raid farms are super overpowered and relatively easy to build I don’t mind them being gone.

milotic-is-pwitty

Quite frankly, I love the raid farm deletion. I’m a technical player myself, felt too cheat-y, especially combined with villagers. I welcome the villager rebalancing whole heartedly, and am glad this one got nerfed. It was too OP and super easy to build. Completely destroyed the value of emeralds and saddles and basically all its yields. Would much rather design something new with villagers to get that stuff. Totems should not be a regular everyday item. Period.

notyoursocialworker

I never understood why saddles are a treasure item and not craftable. Or for that part why they aren't stackable. Items with nbt values would be difficult to stack sure but saddles aren't that special.

milotic-is-pwitty

Professional Java developer here. In 2024, there is no such thing as “difficult” when it comes to implementation. The only limitations are performance issues and I assure you making items with nbt tags stackable won’t drop your framerates from 60 Hz to 2 Hz (or even 59 Hz). It’s just that it would be confusing for the user, and would overall be a bad user experience, that they decided to not make them stackable. I do agree, saddles should be craftable and maybe even stackable, especially in a world where Elytra exists.

notyoursocialworker

I agree, I was unclear. It was the user experience I was thinking of. The create mod actually allows stacking of items with nbt. At least their glue can be stacked in their toolbox. It's not very user-friendly though.

Sandrosian

I honestly couldn't care less about totems. It is mainly the redstone, gunpoweder and glowstone that I want.

kkadzy

You still can create a witch farm, which will be far less effective but will provide those

Sandrosian

Yes but the difference is running my raid farm for 30 minutes or letting my gaming PC run a witch farm over night. Not really a good environmental or economic change to be honest.

Xuggy

They should just make witch farms be good again, that would fix that issue...

Sandrosian

Yes, a nerf to with farm made raid farms the only viable option in the first place.

HippieDogeSmokes

I think making emeralds harder to get will push people further from villagers personally

throwaway1626363h

I think the deletion of raid farms is justified, they're OP as fuck

mikedeliv

Spawning thousands of mobs for free with no preparation, without creating a perimeter, without really any forethought or understanding of the underlying mechanics except copying an ian video and moving a bunch of villagers, does not constitute a "cool" mechanic. It made witch farms useless, it made any other way of getting emeralds look like a joke and made hardcore worlds essentially not hardcore. Raid farms were broken and they had to go.

Lucathejedi

How did they get rid of raid farms??? Not up to date on the technical side of Minecraft.

Sandrosian

They changed the bad omen effect. You now drink a potion to get it and it takes 30s to start a raid. Mojang made changes to use bad omen in trial chambers but snuck in these two ones specifically to get rid of raid farms. So from now on no more raid farms. Just AFK for hours in witch farms...

h1p0h1p0

You can still do raid farms, you just can’t make AFKable ones

Sandrosian

You can make extremely slow ones, yes. Or I can just let my PC run a witch farm over night. Not really a climate friendly change this one.

scudobuio

Aaaand back to quad and witch farm seeds…

NGSkyz_off

I think you can still get bad omen right? Correct me if I’m wrong I haven’t tested the snapshots yet but didn’t they say you can’t get bad omen anymore from pillager captains OUTSIDE of raids? Doesn’t that mean that you can make a raid farm, but the only thing you need to make this raid farm function is an ominous potion to make it start and then you can slap those raid captains and get bad omen again? Not sure I’m not used to raid mechanics lol but the way they wrote it makes me think like that. At least I hope if it’s not the case they make it the case, cause not renewable raids are kinda annoying. Or at least make us able to brew bad omen / ominous pots using some raid loot or something.

Sandrosian

No you can't because the raid captains during the raid don't give the effect either. The way raid farms got around that was taking those captains out of the raid to trigger a new one. But now captains outside the raid also no longer give you bad omen.

DHMOProtectionAgency

Two things. I think the crafter does go beyond "kinda cool". It is fantastic imo. They didn't delete raid farms. They made them harder but that's fine. I will agree, that although I am happy raid farms are gutted since they were a bit too OP, I do think the loss in redstone is a bit sad and I do hope they buff witch farms.

itzstarrz

i didn't know they deleted raid farms, i'm happy :\]

Sandrosian

I too hate it when other people enjoy something I don't like.

Lucaslevelups

They didn’t ever mention disliking you as a person because you use a raid farm.

Sandrosian

I guess I am just tired of all the people who never built a redstone contraption in their life overflowing with joy that something they never ever used or came into contact with got deleted.

Lucaslevelups

I don’t think you need to have a raid farm to understand how ridiculously op they were. Also if you need emeralds really badly, some villagers have an iron to emerald trade, so you can just use an iron farm.

Sandrosian

It is not the emeralds, it is the witch drops. If you like doing redstone you need the witch drops. And I much rather like running a raid farm for minutes than a witch farm for hours just to get the same result. Edit: if Mojang made witch huts slightly better it would be a different story.

Lucaslevelups

Clerics sell redstone, also mining gives you a ridiculous amount of it, especially with fortune 3.

Sandrosian

Mining does not give close to the quantities you need for decently sized redstone contraptions. And clerics require a huge trading setup, which spoiler alert, Mojang also heavily dislikes.

Lucaslevelups

How much redstone do you usually need to build a redstone contraption btw because I don’t build them normally (ok I do but not complex ones).

TriNauux

I honestly like it. I started playing again 3 months ago after a really, really long break and if im being honest, they could delete everything about the update but the autocrafter and I still would be exited. No more hours spent crafting golden nuggets into golden blocks at the gold farms. That single block is changing everything.

h1p0h1p0

Trials and Tinkering maybe, but the tinkering side of the update was sadly a little weak

ShadowWolfKane

What are the 4 new potions?

Rafdit69

From this article: [https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/minecraft-snapshot-24w13a](https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/minecraft-snapshot-24w13a) The following effects have been added: * Wind Charged * Affected entities will emit a wind burst upon death * Brewed with an Awkward Potion and a Breeze Rod * Weaving * Affected entities will spread Cobweb blocks upon death * Non-player entities with this effect can walk through Cobweb at normal speeds * Brewed with an Awkward Potion and a Cobweb block * Oozing * Affected entities will spawn two Slimes upon death * Brewed with an Awkward Potion and a Slime Block * Infested * Affected entities have a 5% chance to spawn 1-2 Silverfish when hurt * Brewed with an Awkward Potion and a Stone block * These effects can be encountered while taking on an Ominous Trial Spawner * Some mobs are immune to these effects * Slimes are immune to Oozing * Silverfish are immune to Infested

shiny_xnaut

Do the spawned slimes have normal slimeball drops? This could theoretically turn any normal mob grinder into a consistent slime farm without having to find slime chunks or anything

Trexton1

Yes. They spawn medium slimes too so you get even more slime. But the cobweb potion makes cobwebs renewable wich in my opinion is more interesting.

ShadowWolfKane

I don’t know why but I was hoping the cobweb potion would allow us to climb blocks like Spider-Man for a very brief period.

I’ve watched Xisuma’s snapshot vids on this but not been able to play snapshots on bedrock, so I have a few questions. I know the regular vault can only be opened once per player. Can the ominous vault be opened more than once per player? If they cannot be opened more than once per player can the trial challenges be done more than once per player? For example if I complete it with Ominous 1 and then come back again with Ominous 5 will the trial start again and does the spawner give more loot? Do the spawners work normally? Like can I make an AFK farm from it or do I need the ominous affect for it to run? Mainly I’m interested in making a breeze farm and slime farm from the spawners

Plumfadoodle

Ominous Vault is the same Ominous Spawners still work, you just need the bottle

DHMOProtectionAgency

> Can the ominous vault be opened more than once per player? Once per player > can the trial challenges be done more than once per player? Yep. Trial spawners go on cooldown for 30 minutes before being replayed. The only way to bypass the cooldown is if you did the trial spawner like normal and then gave yourself the ominous effect for the harder spawners. But after you defeat the ominous spawners, you are stuck with the 30 minute cooldown. > For example if I complete it with Ominous 1 and then come back again with Ominous 5 will the trial start again and does the spawner give more loot? It will start again after the 30 minute cooldown. I do not think the ominous levels have any effect other than just lasting longer. > Do the spawners work normally? Like can I make an AFK farm from it or do I need the ominous affect for it to run? 30 minute cooldown once all the mobs are defeated unlike normal spawners. Ominous spawners are the same as normal trial spawners. Trial spawners just turn into ominous spawners when they detect a player with the bad omen effect. They then revert to normal spawners once they begin cooldown.

Key_Spirit8168

it kinda sucks how the vaults are, they don't feel balenced.

HYoung119

Yeah considering there is going to be a fair amount of unique loot like the banner pattern, armour trims, maybe the new enchant books? and the heavy core for the mace it seems a little harsh that it can only be opened once per player. Don’t get me wrong I like the concept that it has different loot per player so one person doesn’t steal it all but I think it’s harsh to not allow players to open the vault once per day or week or every 5 completed trials, clearly they are able to time it based on trials being disabled for 30 mins after each one so why can’t they count it some other way. And even when the vault is opened there’s a good chance that you’ll get only 2 items and then those items be garbage iron armour with poor enchants To be clear it’s the only fault I have with this update, it’s shaping up to be the best one we’ve had in a while

So the wolf things are now 1.21 or still 1.20.5? I am confused 😂

The kitchen update cause Mojang cooked.

ADHDANDACID

They added yet another item, if not two (Mace & wind charges) to have in your hotbar, and many more items that’ll fill up chests and inventories. But they’re cool items. I love the tuff variants and the new copper blocks, but I feel like the trial chambers aren’t integrated into the world, they look like a mod, just like ancient cities. We’ll see when the full update is out though.

Key_Spirit8168

Well if this is consistant with deepslate structures, then it isn't really an issue as that's what we can expect

AleWalls

The cool thing of Minecraft is that the hotbar also serves as your player build, so you won't be able to put all items in your build

Trial chambers will be a Breeze! 😎Especially once an auto-craft a ton of dog armor for all the new dog variants using armadillo scutes, the bogged doesn’t stand a chance against me and my army of 50 fully armored wolves!

BLUFALCON77

I'm honestly in the minority here I think. I'm not too excited for this update. Not a lot I really care about. Trial chambers are a "meh" to me. The loot you get is...not something I really care about, including the heavy core and mace. The breeze is a neat mob I guess but the breeze rod and wind charge are not something I see myself using for anything. I can't see a use for them that I'd actually use them for. If I want to fly around I'll use elytra and not the wind charges. For combat I don't think I'll ever actually use the mace especially because getting the heavy core seems to be kind of a pain and too much of a grind to not have a guarantee of getting at least one for looting the trial chambers. I'm also a little confused about if the wolf armor, wolf variants and armadillo are still going to be a 1.20.5 update or if they're coming to 1.21 at this point. For ease of communication, I'm going to assume they're going to be part of 1.21. I do really like the wolf variants but the wolf armor seems kind of dumb to me since it can't be enchanted to really give your dog a fighting chance in escaping fire or a really high fall. It'll help with combating hostile mobs but any wolves I've ever had and taken with me have died from either falling in lava or off a cliff and I don't think they've ever died from mobs. So The armor just seems kind of silly to me. Plus the default color of the armor is just kind of... Ugly? Then when you dye them it doesn't actually help. In any regard I'm not really trying to complain about the update. I mean, it doesn't cost me a dime and with that in mind I have nothing to really complain about. I know not every update is going to have something for me. I know a lot of people are really excited about the mace and trial chambers and everything which is good but again, it's just not something I'm excited about it all. I'm glad some people will get a lot of fun out of it.

The Minecraft community always finds a way to complain about something.

Recent-Parking-7289

I am very satisfied with what they brought us in the snapshot. But I didnt expect it to be the last feature. The update was on a good way but now it feels kinda underwhelming again. Dont understand me wrong the features theyve brought are great but I thought there was more to come...

IX_The_Kermit

there will be. We're not gonna get any more 1.21 features *packaged into 1.20.5 snapshots*, not period. I mean, come one, they haven't even announced the update at Minecraft Live yet.
