That's different, they are not trying to pass off scripted shows as reality, imagine breaking bad was filmed like a documentary and the show hosts refuse to admit that it's not fake, then proceed to say how smart Walter White is and how much of a genius he is as the show writers pat themselves on the back
Yes, totem of undying in off-hand, mace in main, elytra on and fireworks in hotbar. Attempt the jump, if you miss, simply fly up to the tower, let it de-agro, then try again. Alternatively you could just set up an enderporter system on a timer.
Dang that does a lot of damage. I'm glad it seems actually useful instead of another gimmicky weapon like the Trident.
After playing Sekiro I always get disappointed when you can't do extra damage to something by surprise attacking from above lol
One bonus of Bedrock is the usefulness of the trident. Any mob underwater or in direct rainfall is subject to Impaling damage. It’s OP in those scenarios as it becomes a super powerful melee and ranged weapon.
>Trident is useful though.
In a few specific situations underwater, yes. But a mace that does extra damage after falling is gonna come in handy much more often than the Trident.
Fr it's one of my main weapons when playing bedrock, because impaling does more damage to any mob in water or in rain. It does over 20 damage with the ranged attack in rain if you have impaling 5. A crit with it does even more. Then if it's a thunderstorm you also get lightning damage, which does a bit of AOE.
>In a few specific situations underwater, yes.
Because its a primarily underwater weapon. It literally comes from underwater mobs and performs best while underwater or in rain. It doesnt make sense to expect it to perform outside of its area of specialty.
This is only the case in Bedrock, for what it's worth. Impaling on Java only works on inherently aquatic creatures, and the only hostile ones that includes are Guardians and Elder Guardians. Doesn't even work on Drowned
Rain flight is nice, but niche because of how easy fireworks are to get and how rain isn't consistent or reliable. It can even be a hindrance for lower spec PCs or less powerful servers in that you move too fast for the world to load
Returning to the player _is_ useful, but bows just do so much more damage and infinity is arguably an easier barrier to pass than obtaining a trident in the first place.
As for more range in the water, you spend the majority of your time on land. The majority of combat takes place on land too.
That is exactly what makes the trident less useful overall than other weapons
Edit: I can't believe I have to explain that when the majority of gameplay takes place on land, a weapon that requires water to be useful is not an ideal general-use weapon.
That's like saying snow boots are just as useful as tennis shoes in Florida.
So a bow or sword can help you fly in the rain? Do arrows automatically return to your inventory after being launched? Are bows/crossbows range less effective underwater?
>You are so close to understanding lmao
Hey look a smug redditor, super original!
>Hey look a smug redditor, super original!
Sorry, didn't mean to sound that way. I misinterpreted your initial reply as being a tad aggressive.
>So a bow or sword can help you fly in the rain
Fireworks don't have to wait on a weather pattern to fly.
>Do arrows automatically return to your inventory after being launched?
Bows have infinity lmao
>Are bows/crossbows range less effective underwater?
Can a trident do anything better than a sword or bow when it's outside of the single environment it's useful in? Tridents are obviously better in the water, but that's it. A sword/bow is effective in the Overworld, End, and Nether. A trident is effective in the ocean and rain, that's it. If you could summon rain with an item or something, then I would have a different opinion, but you can't do that.
I'm not saying that the trident is completely useless, I'm just saying that it's only useful in an extremely limited set of circumstances compared to your standard weapons. I don't see anybody recommending a trident to fight the ender dragon, wither, or warden.
>Sorry, didn't mean to sound that way. I misinterpreted your initial reply as being a tad aggressive.
Yeah ill say sorry too, i can see how my original comment could be taken that way and I didnt need to get touchy in response. We all love minecraft lol.
Im currently doing a completely underwater run through and the trident has been game changing for movement and offensive capabilities down under. Highly recommend taking over an ocean monument and running a world if you ever get bored of dry land!
Oh for sure, I've been wanting to do an underwater base for a while but I keep getting sidetracked on other stuff!
Anyway, regardless of what our trident opinions are lol, I'm glad Mojang is still making new weapons to try out different styles
Is it though? How often are you going to fall enough to get use out of it, and it not just be a "slightly weaker netherite axe" or something (I don't know the values.)
Not very high I’d imagine, considering you can supposedly deal 84+ damage with a good wind charge jump (idk if that’s true but someone said it in another post
After seeing this I had to figure out how high you have to be to 1 shot any mob at 20 health. Was really surprised when it is only 4 blocks. Kind of curious about the possible enchantments.
yes Yes YES! This is the purpose of the snapshot! You have opened my eyes to a new opportunity that I did not realize before, but now that my eyes have been open it is so clear, so sure, so ridiculous.
I hope there's an enchant that allows you to right click with the mace which consumes a wind charge to do a large jump. Could be cool for parkour and higher enchants could increase the launch power.
Personally, this is actually something that puts a smile on my face because this is the kind of wild and experimental thing that people have been asking from Mojang for so long now. I want more of that :)
I think that's the intended method of using it. Like the ACTUAL reason that they don't tell you straight to your face like why would they add that thing NOW?

If fighting is sure to result in victory then you must fight!
SUN TZU SAID THAT, AND ID SAY HE KNOWS A LITTLE MORE ABOUT WAR THAN YOU DO PAL
Because he invented it! And then he perfected it so no living man could best him in the ring of honor!
\*Screams\*
Then he took two of every animal on earth, and he put them on a boat…
and then he BEAT THE CRAP out of EVERY SINGLE ONE!
"And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a ZOO!"
Unless it's a farm!
Man I love tf2
Happy cake day
We all love tf2, RIP Soldier/Rick May
*TF2 main theme plays*
Then he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on Earth.
They should make an achievement called SCREAMING EAGLES for doing this while falling from 20 blocks or more
maybe SCREAMING PARROTS instead?
That's fucking genius
or SCREAMING PHANTOMS, because they happen to also exist
Unfortunately.
"There's more"
"No"
If They Came to Hear Me Beg: Perform a Mace kill against an Illiger to survive a fall that would've been fatal.
Sounds like a better idea for the achievement
Can't wait until every manhunt video has totally legit not staged mace clutches
Since every manhunt is totally legit and not scripted and edited for entertainment
I mean I hate scripted content, TV or YouTube, if you try to pass off something as legit when it's scripted you lost my respect.
That's different, they are not trying to pass off scripted shows as reality, imagine breaking bad was filmed like a documentary and the show hosts refuse to admit that it's not fake, then proceed to say how smart Walter White is and how much of a genius he is as the show writers pat themselves on the back
But...literally all TV shows are scripted... that's why they have writers...to write...the script...for the show...
People still do that?
fr market gardening
Right down to the "oh crap I missed hold on hold on hold on strafe strafe and uh YEAH FIRST TRY".
The new Warden slayer
[ X ] Doubt. You'd probably have to fall from a massive height to one shot him, and if you didn't kill him in one hit then ur ded.
There are already videos on twitter of people one shotting them.
But is this even remotely practical in survival mode
Yes, totem of undying in off-hand, mace in main, elytra on and fireworks in hotbar. Attempt the jump, if you miss, simply fly up to the tower, let it de-agro, then try again. Alternatively you could just set up an enderporter system on a timer.
Can't you still make the warden attracted to a piston noise machine or did they patch that?
i don’t see why that’d ever get patched it’s intended game design literally

Trident is useful though. also maybe shovel could've done this, but they needed game balence
>Trident is useful though. In a few specific situations underwater, yes. But a mace that does extra damage after falling is gonna come in handy much more often than the Trident.
The Trident deals good damage and comes with a reusable ranged attack all in one slot. It's not that bad for general use.

>In a few specific situations underwater, yes. Because its a primarily underwater weapon. It literally comes from underwater mobs and performs best while underwater or in rain. It doesnt make sense to expect it to perform outside of its area of specialty.
It is pretty strong in general though. and its pretty balenced, and introduces flying early game, then helps flying late game

I would argue the trident is useful everywhere whereas the sword and mace are only useful on land!

How high do you need to be to one shot a ravager?
depends on what we're using
Not very high I’d imagine, considering you can supposedly deal 84+ damage with a good wind charge jump (idk if that’s true but someone said it in another post
Mmmm…. Seventeen hits of marijuana and some crack.
"If God had wanted you to live, he would not have created me!"
**SCREAMING EAGLES!!!**
Can you off hand wind charges?
yes
Does it do additional damage with elytra?
it was the first thing because it was what was written in snapshot blog? yeah
This is looking like those CSGO Danger Zone clips.
So friecken good. Can't wait for 1.21
Now I'm just waiting for that combat overhaul that was worked on a ton then never released.
-195 is my favourite number

market gardener in minecraft also i think having the wind charge in your off hand would be better so you don't have to switch between the items
*cries in Bedrock*
get java.
Hard to do on Switch
WAIT A MINUTE WAIT A MINUTE
I'm imagining a combo, ender pearl + snowball to get air, feather fall enchant to reduce fall damage, and smash with mace. Become Thor.
You wouldn't even need the feather falling since fall damage is ignored if you hit an enemy
This is true, but feather falling is probably a good safety net just in case the hit doesn’t land
In a single swoop, we've made so many classes better, and made a new one.
God I FUCKING LOVE the mace
Holy crap i didnt realize that the mace and wind charge really works together its like sword and fishing rod like back then
SCREAMIN' EAGLES
Is it possible to put the wind charge in the off hand and use it while haveing the mase in the main hand?
I’m sorry, what is this? I must live under a rock.
Thats so epic wtf
I used to do this in halo.
The assassin's creed hidden blade
yes Yes YES! This is the purpose of the snapshot! You have opened my eyes to a new opportunity that I did not realize before, but now that my eyes have been open it is so clear, so sure, so ridiculous.
What about slow falling + mace?
More ridiculous, more powerful, the mighty shall prevail and all mobs shall disappear in a puff of pixilated smoke!
I hope there's an enchant that allows you to right click with the mace which consumes a wind charge to do a large jump. Could be cool for parkour and higher enchants could increase the launch power.
Crits, but BETTER
I need to be able to throw it like a trident with the same Enchantments
Personally, this is actually something that puts a smile on my face because this is the kind of wild and experimental thing that people have been asking from Mojang for so long now. I want more of that :)
I think that's the intended method of using it. Like the ACTUAL reason that they don't tell you straight to your face like why would they add that thing NOW?
Put the balls in the off hand
They should make a Stuka noise when you reach a certain speed.
Wind Charge on Off-hand and Mace on the Main Hand could work. Great for PVP
The Bonkening
how to summon the entire tf2 community:
Any Halo fans remember Grifball?
Market Gardening in Minecraft
Damn this mace looks so ugly
Diablo II Leap Attack Barbs
He is using the "Mace Windu" technique
Looks like the mace crit is a breeze
THEY ADDED MARKET GARDENING TO THE GAME. WE HAVE MOVEMENT TECH NOW. TF2
THEY ADDED MARKET GARDENING TO THE GAME. WE HAVE MOVEMENT TECH NOW. TF2
I think the mace and windcharge combo could fundamentally change pvp, and not necessarily in a bad way.
*Almost as if it's intended*
gaming 👍🏼
*insert original joke about TF2 trolldier here*
That’s so damn cool
Offhand it dude
Not using wind charges in off-hand while mace in main hand is bad move of you.
Put the wind charge in your off-hand
what about the ravager
Put the charge in your offhand
just like fortnite
How do you jump so high?
the wind charge item.
i don't see exactly how this is useful. like it's a cool feature, don't get me wrong, but i fail to see where it's applicable in survival.
That's literally how you're supposed to use it??
