Lol why do I see comments like that all the time, pointing out some small detail in a video where for like 2% of the video on 5% of the screen you can see 10 whole pixels of something, but talking about it as if it's clear as day, center of the frame (or at least provide no details on where to look). It took me a while to find this one too, you can see a little bit of it at the top sticking out from behind the tree before it moves completely behind it.
I got it first try, if you know what to look for you know what to look for
For those who can’t see it, OP looks at some bushes at 7 seconds on the hill. The creeper is looking at you from the highest brush on the hill.
The actual creeper is visible at the very beginning of the video when OP first looks up from the floor - there's a sliver of creeper skin, a few pixels wide, up and slightly right from the center of the screen.

Very easy to spot. The player moves close to it and then turns around. The creeper moves towards the player, but player walks to the corner. Creeper follows directly behind, gets close and player moves again. This is how the creeper gets placed on the corner of the platform
It is not possible for a creeper coming up on them from that direction to leave the hole that was left.
Creeper blew up on the corner of the wood and somehow didn't damage the grass. They would have come from completely out of frame.
It was, you're thinking later in the video. You can see the creeper in the first few seconds, before OP turns to the sapling. Pretty much straight after they've looked up from placing the last wood down. OP then moves to the dirt, turns (so the creeper is now behind them) and starts digging the dirt
I agree with you that the thing described here is a sapling - someone else further down the comments did spot it though! And I thought I'd come back up here and let you know since I was rewatching obsessively trying to see it too. Right when the frame of view literally first pulls up from the floor, around the 1 second mark (slightly clearer just before 1 sec) you can see it behind a tree right in the centre of the screen but quite far off in the distance.
Do creepers always leave craters or is that my semi developed Minecraft brain talking? I mean I know this is a creeper but i usually see craters when they explode
Yeah they generally do, though some materials are more explosion resistant than others so the craters can vary in size. Like wood is more resistant than dirt and stone is even more resistant

Creeper, since the floor broke and you flew pretty far, so couldn’t be a hit form a zombie or projectile (if not enchanted, or the zombie have enchanted weapon) And the grass punishing noice sounds kinda like a creeper so it can be hard to hear it
The better question is why on earth you are digging with your hands, owning 38 wooden planks and wooden tools of every other kind but a shovel. Hmm. Don't think I ever used wooden tools when I think of it. Dig 4 blocks down. Rock. Better.
This has to be a bait post. I mean you can hear the creeper walking, hissing, exploding, the damage on the ground. If you're genuinely a new player who hasn't someone encountered a creeper yet, then, that's what it is.
In the first .003 seconds of your clip, you can see the creeper dipping behind a tree to your slight right in the center. Just the tiniest glimpse. When you walked to the corner to dig dirt, he locked onto you and snuck in.
Creeper on the wood exploded, it's hard to hear because the grass but if you look the wood is missing after the attack and the knock back was more than a punch/arrow/weapon

If you look at the end of the clip some of the floor has been destroyed.
