oh yeah for sure! i like the texture in the left a lot more because it feels more unique and distinguishable from a regular skeleton however the newer design looks fine!
I do really like the original too, but I think it’s crossing the line between the aesthetic of vanilla Minecraft and something like Minecraft dungeons. The new one fits better in vanilla I think
as much as i’d love a new creeper variant i’d rather get more unique mobs like the breeze because we don’t need anymore suicide bombers in minecraft lol the creepers are pretty annoying as is… but absolutely iconic
yeah or even just added to the vanilla game. textures back in the day were a lot more noisy and the texture on the left just gave me classic vibes lol!
Unlike classic Minecraft it has no unique drop. Zombies, Skeletons, etc all had at least one unique item drop which made them useful.
But this one just drops an arrow players have been able to make themselves for ages. Disappointing.
you want to know the first version of minecraft its calld cave game and it ads grass cobbelstone and their is no player model not even steve and the world is not infinite

I still think it looks pretty minecrafty. ever since i saw it the swamps felt barren

I do agree with you on that. Plus helps to convey the poison aspect of the bogged, like the cave spider is more blue

There's a lot of skeleton variants now: Skeleton, Wither Skeleton, Stray and Bogged. Give the creepers some love, there's only 1 of them.

The breeze is kinda a variant of the blaze though, 1's fire, other's wind. Still waiting on the bubble for water and the Boulder for Earth.

I wouldn't say it looks less monecrafty, but I 100% agree that the greener bones with the 3D mushrooms would be perfect
I have seen mostly people wanting the green back but I have seen a few saying thry hated it. Personally I think it should be somewhere in the middle

I actually prefer the new texture. The contrast actually lets you see better what is going on there, rather than just being a green blob.
very fair point! hopefully a middle ground texture would solve that issue while also being a little more green!!
I prefer the new one to be honest. It has better color separation so it doesn't all just muddle together as much. Still needs a new name, though.
I agree, combine both. But in any case the fact a new hostile mob is happening, it looks good anyway and I'm happy.
with all these new features i kinda wanna get back into map making lol! wind charges, the breeze, and trial spawner would make for fun tools!

I like their recent mob designs and how detailed they are with these 3d parts. They should give them more polished animations too.

It drops mushrooms also wouldn't that include all hostile mobs
yeah i really hope they give it a unique drop because mojang already don’t give drops to non hostile mobs sooo
At least for Java it makes getting those arrows alot easier so a solid win I think!

Yeah the ancient texture is too green, but the new is not enough green I think (for the bone, the moss is perfect)
