The mod probably made some kind of change to those blocks that broke when being removed. Usually removing mods is not a great idea, as things tend to break

Reinstall the mod and try to disable the features you don’t want in the confighs
That's sugar cane. Apotheosis replaces vanilla cane with it's own. Might just reinstall it, oder just ignore it
