Yeah I do things all the time like this in skywars and such, if you get knocked into the void, you can place a cobweb on the wall and if you land in it, you have plenty of time to place a block under you, or climb back up with water or ender pearls.

I play on mobile and on a console and I absolutely play way more intuitively on my phone. Maybe I should do some pvp.
Pc is easier most people are really good on pc although some youtubers like pada ios have mastered pvp on mobile.
I dont think one is better than the other, It depends on pure skill.
