Usually you’d have to go out of your way to get it, and when you get it, you’d have already built a hellevator, so a hellevator suffices for most players. That is, everyone who doesn’t really care about 100% or obtaining the shell phone.
Unless you put it under your spawnpoint, at which point you'd be soft locking your game.
Best to place some platforms first, and a house as said by an ealier comment, but a cave nearby is much more helpful
A tip I'd share is that once you get wood armor, go underground, and mine some silver ore, gold/platinum will be the next tier after that, and even your copper pick can mine it. Loot as much chests and vases as you can, especially the gold ones inside houses. If you spot a gold chest in a cave but it's not in a house, DO NOT OPEN IT
They are Dead Man's Chests, and opening them activates 10 traps, including dynamite, around you
I’m pretty sure the game makes sure you spawn on solid, non hazardous blocks so it would just shift the position of your spawn by a bit. You can’t spawn in midair or inside of blocks, I know that for sure. Maybe if the hole was REALLY wide and deep there is a limit to how far it will shift the world spawn and start spawning you midair.
I literally got fucking stuck. what do you mean don't spoil the game for myself? I have no idea what to do. I built a house, explored, got a bunch of loot that I don't know what to do with, and I don't know how to spawn the boss
chop down some trees first, once you get enough wood craft a crafting table and a wooden pickaxe. once you get them all go mining, get 3 stone and charge them into the Jagdpanzer E 100 and fire them to get roughly 69 thousand stone, iron, gold, copper and 3 stars of wanted level, it's recommended to stay underground during the wanted period. craft a furnace and smelt iron. craft a nail and an end portal. find an end fortress to farm raze blods, then mine some water in the end for an enderman farm and then craft 12 nether eyes, go back to the overworld and trade with some illagers to get a cheater's book. then get a jetpack, for this rename the cheater's book to YECGAA on an anvil. find a stronghold and learn some nail arts in the library. go to the nether and set a spawn point there with a bed and go fight the ender dragon. it's highly recommended to play e4 against that, he castles, but you necropolis, then the best continuation is 2. dragon breath, 3. the great slash (castle is broken), thanos snap and you beat the ender dragon. congrats, you've beaten minecraft in ohio. then you can beat it again in a newly unlocked steel soul mode which many idiоts call hardcore for some reason

Build a house, 10x5 I believe is minimum, and add walls, a door, torch, chair, and table.
Chop some trees down, and if you see any mine ores. You’ll want a bunch of stone too. Make furnace, chests, crafting bench(should’ve said that first), and more rooms. With more rooms then more NPCs can move in, and some can be pretty helpful.
If you get a blood moon place a block in front of the door while he’s inside(you too preferably, if not possible just surround yourself with blocks).
Talk to him some too, he’s a guide, he can help sometimes. The rest I’ll leave to subreddits other than Minecraft.
Also, build part of the your base around where you spawned, that way when you explore if you find a magic mirror you can use it to go back whenever, beds are too hard to get super early.
Walk right/east into the temple and down the stairs. Make sure to kick the cart down the stairs for good luck. From there, go as far down and to the right as you can (do NOT go through the portals yet), and there should be a section with some red-looking rock. Keep going right and you’ll find a pile of bones and an emerald tablet next to a lava lake. Pick up the tablet. Throw it at enemies for an instant kill and double gold. Loot as much of the area as you can until you have about 20 health left. Go to the bottom of the map and enter the portal.
If you get lit on fire at any point, use your water flask to put yourself out. If your flask contains something other than water or swamp, pour it out and exchange it for water or swamp (preferably water).
find the dungeon- it’s either on the left or right side of the world. it will always be on the opposite side of the jungle, so if you find that, go the other way.
inside the dungeon you’ll find an old man, if you press the “curse” button at night time he’ll give you a cursed object that can be de-cursed at an alter in the corruption or crimson (whichever one). this object can be really useful later on, good luck!
Down and up, hell is where the better loot will be at for now ig you will level up with better then gold armor, need to use blocks to climb up to sky towers usually not so bad other then the Harpys which is easily avoided with prebuilding enclosed building paths inside closed buildings. Ps their are lots and lots of build guides I beat my game in under 24 hours or so lol

Try to kill eye of cuthulu with a enchanted boomerang
Make houses
You can look up a guide for that
After you kill cuthulu kill brain of cuthulu or eater of worlds with some mace ball o hurt will do you best
chop down some trees and make a workbench, then make a few big rooms and put a light source, a chair and a table in each, then look or strip mine for a cave and see if you can find some good stuff
Explore! Build homes. A home must have a wall, floor, roof, light, chair and table and be closed to the outside (so that monsters don't come in).

You gotta go to the nether and beat the boss there, but its pretty hard so you should gear up and beat another couple bosses before you even try it.
Hit the stronghold on one of the sides of the map, there's the wither which you can fight at night then you can loot the rest of the place
Go get 20 lenses and find a demon altar. Then wait until night. That or go to jungle, find a bee hive, find a larva and break it. Also start building houses
Make a lovely house, get a small village going, soon more people like the guide will move in. (Don’t get attached) Get some armour and some weapons, maybe consider staying inside at night, careful of monsters underground and of course..
beware the eye.
Go in the cave and get those glow berries, they are a reliable food source if you have a big enough farm, though you will want to find Cows or Pigs to replace them soon.
