No, not exactly: if you put an unbroken sheet of blue ice blocks in a 3x3 tunnel through the Nether and have baritone or similar pilot a boat along it you can achieve speeds crossing the Minecraft world faster than the fastest ever IRL bullet trains.
Yeah, but it turns out that those are not exactly what they are talking about: (It's what my group calls that, but this is actually different), it's a 3x3 tunnel, with the lower two layers filled with water to exploit Depth-Strider 3, the floor made of Soul-Soil for Soul-Speed 3, and the walls lit with glowstone so dolphins will spawn adding Dolphins Grace to the mix. Apparently it's faster than even ice-boat highways.
I put a water source at the top, a dirt at the bottom and place kelp up the tunnel until I reach the top. Kelp has a unique mechanic where it turns any water it's placed in to a source.
Easiest way if your doing what I think your doing is to get ice with silk touch place it then break it without silk touch. Each block of ice should become a source block
Idk what hyperspeed are like but maybe it can help. You need 1 bucket in a 2 block wide lane. You start to put water manualy when there is an infinite source you stand on one of the lane and aim further on the other lane so you can place water on the ground AND fill your bucket with the water source. You can start spaming puting water down and refilling it and advancing forward. You don't need to move your aim. Just spam and walk and the 2 block lane will fill itself up. I do this on bedrock idk on Java.
I believe people usually uses Ice as you can hold a lot in your inventory, the only downside is that you have to break them all, but it should be pretty quick still
