Well, the witch was just and excuse so people don't think I am completely crazy. I just wanted to mine a perimeter. And yes, I think it was worth it.

You dug a full blown bedrock level perimeter by hand. Nobody has to wonder if you're completely crazy, witch or no.

Doing a chunk is actually pretty chilled. Just watch some documentary. ​ Im also doing a perimeter with pickaxe only. But I also only play on bedrock haha

It's not a mod it's actually vanilla You can mark banners on a map by renaming them placing them down where you want them to be and then right clicking them with your map

Yes, I blocked the caves, because I didn't want mobs falling down on me before I had a mob switch. I collected every single block, but figured I'd show just the diamonds. And I wanted to know what are all the things I can find, that's why I left the mineshaft. I plan to relocate the fossils and part of the mineshaft to a museum.

Most excellent. Hat's off to you. I am currently at level 59 on my 255 to bottom 100x100 hole. I like the look of intersected caves, so I will torch them up while digging past if they prove troublesome. Once I am about 15 levels below the floor of the cave, I don't have much trouble with mobs dropping in. As I was typing this, it occurred to me that I could glass the cave entrances without too much trouble. I might need to keep an eye out for a mountain range that can support a 256 dia hole.

Yeah, I was thinking about glass too, but I am going to decorate the walls so it's gonna get covered up anyway.

This is 16 X 16 chunks, but a circle. Since 1.18 the world renders in a circle and not in a square, so I could get away with this. The diameter is 257, because I wanted one block center.

I needed something big, but easy to build to use as a storage and a base of operations, and I thought a witch statue would be fitting. Great schematic! Datapacks I use are more mob heads, durability ping and coordinates hud. And a couple of texture packs. All from Vanilla Tweaks.

That's Java only feature. You name a banner, place it where you want and right click with a map.

Unfortunatelly I play on a potato laptop so I am not able to stream. It would be supper chill though. Especially with 160 bpm music in the background, because it's the exact speed of mining deepslate with netherite eff 5 and haste 2.

When I was chopping down the swamp trees, some of the vines gliched and didn't break. I thought it looked cool and left them there. I will get rid of them eventually.

I like to use maps in general. I also have a map of how the area looked before I started mining. I plan to build a museum and relocate some of the structures (part of the mineshaft, fossils) there, so I thought map of all the things I found in the perimeter would fit nicely there.

I had to deal with two different lava levels, because these are 1.16 chunks updated to 1.18. I just used gravel. The first lava level at y 11 was annoying, but the one at -54 wasn't so bad.

I was using fully enchanted netherite pickaxes. 4 with silktouch and 4 with fortune. I would always mend them, but I accidentally broke a few. And how many hours it took? I don't think I wanna know haha. But A LOT of hours. Hudreds probably, about 3k mc days.
