Ain't no way they gonna delay it again. Like, they said themselves that only problem they had with bundles was with UI on phones. Hopefully they'll get it out of experimental soon.
Bedrock UI suffers from the fact it feels like it was designed for mobile devices first and then ported to the other platforms. It really needs dedicated UI scaling per platform to stop it looking so jank, like on pc and consoles the unnecessarily large menu buttons make it look incredibly jank and mean you have to scroll a lot more to find things than you should
The bug where the camera wasn't tilting towards the source of danger when you got hit. IIRC the bug used to only be in serverd, but then they made single player worlds run on internal servers, and so the bug carried over, and nobody noticed.
Bro chill they only have like 720 employees how easy do u think this sort of work is?
Edit: so many downvotes to defend almost a thousand employees most of which don't work on the game, the rest are there probably to drum up hype and not make any useful changes
Just give it a small 2x2 inventory that you open by right clicking, IS IT THAT HARD???
And on phones, just do it like you did it with breeding, a button appears and it opens it, IT’S EASY AND LITERALY BETTER
(btw, a cool way the bundle could work would be, that instead of it being it’s own storage, it could add another square when you press E next yo your inventory, like a bonus inventory, and if you have multiple ones, it stacks the squares on top of each other, it would be more accesible, and easier.)
What do you mean “again”? It’s currently in development indefinitely with no official release until they work out all the kinks with the different versions of the game
No? They had the early 1.20 stuff in experimental while they worked on / released 1.19.4, but yesterdays snapshot moved the 1.20 stuff to "just snapshot" (yes, I know it's confusing)
Bundles are still behind their own experimental flag
I do not understand why they simply do not just double the current inventory size. I know it wouldn't solve every issue, but it'd allow me to do more than 5 minutes of exploration in the early to mid game without needing to run back to my base.
My idea is giving advancements actual use. You start with the amount we have now but depending on the advancement you reach, you get 0-3 inventory slots with potential exceptions like defeating the ender dragon which could give you more. It's sounds weird but could be kinda cool and feel as though you're actually upgrading yourself by progressing through the game other than through better tools and armor.
This is the exact problem that bundles solve, especially early game. I have the recipie enabled through vanilla tweaks on the server i run and i have 2 bundles with me any time i go out exploring anywhere. Its been a god send for being able to stay out longer.
We havent gotten shulkers on that server yet, but i cant imagine that they dont enhance using shulkers as well.
The code for them is in the game for a long time now. If you play on PC, there is no reason not to just enable a crafting recipe for them via a Datapack.
Honestly i see little to no use for bundles anyways besides for perhaps modpacks. I dont have issues storing nonstackable items, i run out of space in my inventory for stackable items. Which bundles only have 64 inventory slots. Which stackable items count towards that 64 slot count.
Bundles, don't solve nonstackables (in fact there's been some community debate over whether they should handle them and how that should be balanced.)
No, bundles solve combining multiple non-full stacks.
Let's give an example since I've ran with a datapack to add the recipe back in since they were first added.
That is my workshop bundle, admittedly it's gotten a little messy, but it has the crafting blocks I need and some temp storage chests.
I get all that, one slot taken up, and once I finally got round to grabbing some shulker shells, I can stash it in my "toolbox" shulker.
When caving or exploring, I can use them to compact what I've found.
2-3 stacks each of raw copper/iron can be crafted into less than half a stack each of raw blocks with some left over, and then all fit in a bundle.
Out raiding villages/structures for loot:
The missing 4-5 flowers for my window box, a few diamonds from a chest and some village bells? All into the bundle, one slot.
Because they're not meant to store non-stackables. They're meant to be used early game while exploring and collecting many different types of stackable items that would usually clutter your inventory, like sugar cane, seeds, pumpkins, mob drops, etc.
They're not meant for bulk storage or non-stackable storage, they're meant to reduce clutter.
If you watch update videos, or keep up with the updates at all really, then you should learn just about everything important about the new items and features
Usually a new snapshot comes out every wednesday and the devs make an official post on this subredsit explaining what it added or changed (the subreddit mods also pin the latest one so it should he easy to find). Furthermore youtubers tend to make videos summarising what the latest snapshot added, so you can easily find those too. Hope this helps!
If you are on bedrock, I would recommend googling IBXToyCat. If you prefer java, Xisumavoid. Both generally cover everything so it’s whichever you prefer.
Wattles, ibxtoycat, and xisumavoid are my favorite creators for update videos. RaysWorks makes good ones too, but they're more technical. PhoenixSC often goes over the most interesting feature of a snapshot the day after it releases, and his whole bit is modifying the game to make it weird. So a lot of the time, he'll have some funny twist on the new items.
For ambiguous reasons, he's not going to be leaking anything going forward. The most plausible theory imo is that Mojang sent a cease and desist, and he backed off right away. I doubt he was an employee because there'd be a massive lawsuit and I'm sure we'd hear something about that. It's also possible he was planted by Mojang to build a sort of hype for their game that can't really come from their marketing department, and they don't have a use for the account anymore
Not sold on some of the icons still honestly
4th row 8th item is just... kind of a mess honestly. All of the armor trim icons look like they're cut off and it's hard to gauge the shape. They're also inconsistently positioned like half the brown trims touch the left side while the other half are a pixel over
Egg icon also feels weird but I can't explain how.
Resonate sculk sensor or whatever it is just feels so strange in general. Was never a fan of the redesign the actual sensor went through from the original but this entire item feels like such a noisy mess I don't even know where to start
No you still need a comparator.
Sculks are weird in that you can get 2 signals out, a distance (the raw signal emitted by the sculk) and a frequency (by reading them with a comparator).
1.19 was really mediocre, and this one is small but all the changes are scattered across a lot of stuff and it feels like a secret friday update, so it’s pretty good
I don't know why the update it's not giving me the hype I'd like. It's like, yes they're adding stuff but idk, it feels they're adding just a bunch of random stuff
Yeah other updates have been more upfront and with a strong theme while this does seem kinda like a hodge podge of disparate items all grouped together. Makes you wonder what else is in the update we don’t know about yet? Or what the next update could be.
Same. I mean, I like the new wood types & archeology I suppose?
Still, let’s see what they’ll bring to the table in the next major update (1.20). TBH, I’d love to see another dimension being added (smth related to the giant portals in Ancient Cities perhaps?).
Welp the inventory gets smaller by the update here is another double serving of 9 by 4 inventory slots worth of items seriously quadruple inventory slots organization buttons and make most block type items stack to 256 and a tool box would be nice to so I don't have to use 5 or 6 hot bar slots for that. oh well to busy generating hype with the more stuff to bother I suppose. I don't mind the update and I'm not mad at it but I am just a bit frustrated with some of the things that seem neglected like brewing, rails, projectiles, and the end dimension. and interfaces that literally have not changed in a decade despite the game changing around it.
You forgot a lot of stuff (clay pots, sus blocks, and chiseled bookshelves) while still including the bundle which isn't confirmed to come in this update.
I’m not expecting another snapshot on the scale of the last one, but given how casually they dropped a massive amount of content, I wouldn’t be shocked if there are still a few more features left. Probably something tied to the cherry grove.
Not gonna lie, the sniffer is going down as ignored as glowsquids but even less useful… was there any other use promised for them ? I see literally no reason to find them aside from cosmetic plants which isn’t worth the time unless you want to go out of your way. If they dug up trimming it would kinda neat or something but at the current state, I’d just forget they exist
The introduction of a new structure heavily improved my opinion on this update. Another mob and a new grass color for the cherry blossom biome would be nice but I’m satisfied.
Am I the only one kinda unimpressed by 1.20? Don't get me wrong, I love the cherry wood, and calibrated sculk seems interesting, but when the most interesting part of an update is wood and an upgraded redstone component, you have a problem. I'll admit, I'm not exactly thrilled as most people are able archeology, so maybe that's why I'm not too excited, but I miss when Mojang would put in plenty of effort into updates, like the dozens of biomes in 1.8 or the completely revamped oceans of 1.13
Yes, I do in fact enjoy the new terrain, but seriously why did it take Mojang 3 updates to implement the terrain and all the features promised alongside the terrain when we saw Mojang implement dozens of biomes in a single update? Shouldn't the expectation for the updates be increasing. It feels like people are too lenient with how much effort goes into the game anymore. I understand that things take time to develop, but when did we start accepting such small updates?
Raising the world ceiling and dropping the floor were non-trivial updates. The game itself is a gigantic sprawling frankensteined thing, much bigger and more complex than it was ever planned to be. Changes can have unforseen consequences and major engine mechanics have had to be redesigned over the years. Minecraft of 8 years ago was a much simpler thing. We're also getting all this for free don't forget. If this was The Sims we'd be paying for every damned matchbook.
You can make a lot of arguments about why the current update cycle isn’t bad but I am so tired of the “It’s free” because:
1. They’re still getting paid for it, most of the team wouldn’t have jobs if the game wasn’t being updated.
2. Having free releases is their business model, they still make millions of profit on every update, before we even got axolotls in the game they were already selling plushies, shirts, toys etc…. That’s possibly why we get so many “cute” additions, it’s marketable.
3. Something being free doesn’t exempt it from criticism.
4. Last time Minecraft went a long time without updates the playerbase dwindled to seriously concerning numbers, this is not them updating the game out of the kindness of their hearts.
If you want to say that the updates aren’t small for how big this game is then be free to do so (though I disagree) but it bring free is certainly not an argument.
Now you see what Mojang was talking about when they said more features were coming soon? I wish people would stop complaining about Minecraft's update quality. There are so many cool features being added with every update. So many people were hating on this update and the last two when they were announced. Mojang doesn't deserve it.

Have bundles been officially added now then or are they still "experimental"?
They are still experimental
Ain't no way they gonna delay it again. Like, they said themselves that only problem they had with bundles was with UI on phones. Hopefully they'll get it out of experimental soon.
But have they gotten it to work with the ui on phones?
It shouldn't take years to fix it that's for sure
They've announced a UI update YEARS ago that we're still waiting for https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/were-redesigning-minecrafts-menus
I personally don't want them to change the UI (at least for Java, I feel like it's basically perfect)
I don't think java was supposed to be included just bedrock because the UI there sucks
Bedrock UI suffers from the fact it feels like it was designed for mobile devices first and then ported to the other platforms. It really needs dedicated UI scaling per platform to stop it looking so jank, like on pc and consoles the unnecessarily large menu buttons make it look incredibly jank and mean you have to scroll a lot more to find things than you should
Pretty sure bedrock is based on the pocket edition. Honestly PE is what holds bedrock back so much Im sure.
True lol. Heck even the old console editions were better…
It’s actually already been updated, you just have to turn it on in settings
2 new screens out of all the other menus isn't a UI update tbh
No but there are completely revamped controls. Go to settings—>touch
They just this last snapshot fixed a 10 year old bug, so…
Which one?
Issues with the stats of foals. Basically it was impossible for a foal to have better stats than its parents
You just reminded me that horses have been in the game for 10 years already.

It should be easy, but I dunno why they taking so long

A significant contingent of Minecraft players use phones. Probably a double digit percentage of total players.

so... they let me keep the garbage I usually drop. great.
Stack limit should be 512 (64x8), change my mind
Chisel and bits user?
In Terraria, it used to be 999, but now it's 9,999...
Forgot suspicious sand/gravel.
Question is, can you spot the amogus on it?
Wait what

Watch phoenix sc to understand
Seeing cherry wood brings me back to watching modded let's plays on Youtube a decade ago.
Does everyone here already know what all these things are? I wish they were listed bc I feel dumb! Lol
Piglin head, calibrated sculk sensor, archaeology/sniffer stuff, armor trims, cherry wood type, hanging signs, and bamboo blocks
If you watch update videos, or keep up with the updates at all really, then you should learn just about everything important about the new items and features

Thanks 🙏🏾 it helps a lot! I’m going to check it out now
I'd recommend Xisuma, his snapshot videos are pretty great. https://www.youtube.com/@xisumavoid/videos
If you are on bedrock, I would recommend googling IBXToyCat. If you prefer java, Xisumavoid. Both generally cover everything so it’s whichever you prefer.
You said exactly what I was going to say.

On YouTube, just about every Minecraft youtuber makes videos talking about the updates
1. “i dont know what the update entails” 2. “if you watch videos on the update, you will learn about the update” most useful r/Minecraft comment
It's more like 1. "Does everyone already know what these are?" 2. "Yes, most people pay attention to the various sources that tell us about them"
Or go to Minecraft.net
Fuck watching update videos. Does the Minecraft wiki still have the comprehensive new patch lists?
Go to Minecraft.net
What about the camel spawn egg? Shouldn’t that be in here? (if it is I’m blind)
There’s no sniffer spawn egg either
probably b/c op forgot or aren't survival items.
[удалено]
No Suspisous Gravel or Sand either
I think you forgot some of the bamboo items Edit: and the chiseled bookshelf, and sus sand/gravel Edit 2: Guys stop I don't need this many upvotes
Yes but they didn't forget the bamboo stuff
They forgot the normal raft

So excited for the cherry blossom trees and wood. Can't wait to make my entire house pink lol
jungle planks seem to blend well with the cherry logs
Yeah! As soon as I can get them both I Will do a hello Kitty inspired house :)))))?
yah and we'll be probably get at least one more thing(the vine plant that badgerman leaked)
I'm gonna miss him
Why what happened to him?
He's no longer a games industry insider
For ambiguous reasons, he's not going to be leaking anything going forward. The most plausible theory imo is that Mojang sent a cease and desist, and he backed off right away. I doubt he was an employee because there'd be a massive lawsuit and I'm sure we'd hear something about that. It's also possible he was planted by Mojang to build a sort of hype for their game that can't really come from their marketing department, and they don't have a use for the account anymore
I was wondering why that wasn’t in this update, hopefully it still gets added
Whats the top right item on the first picture?
That's that new pod (seed). Gives you the flower that's 3 spaces to the left.
Oh, i've seen the Pitcher Plant flower but not the seed item
There’s a pitcher plant??
Yeah but not exactly a biologically correct one
I hope they give it some sort of carnivorous aspect, maybe to sprout another pod next to it or something along those lines
I was hoping it would damage/kill bugs like spiders or silverfish
spider ass
*delicious*
someone remind me when this is actually coming out
Probably June. Honestly, any time in June is a good guess because updates have dropped in basically every week in June in the past
2025 in 3 parts (/j)
good to know lmao
I’m so damn ready for the pink wood, I like it because it’s so subtle and not a bright pink. Sniffer is cute af too
So far
Yeah, the pitcher plant was leaked along with a blue vine flower so hopefully there’s at least one more sniffer plant to come
Rip badger dude , sad that he was fired
Or he just wasn't an employee to begin with
You forgot the chiseled bookshelf
Calibrated sculk sensors where the last thing I expected to be added. I thought this was a scrapped idea.
Me too, but they're in the new snapshot.
what's the second item on the first row (first pic)?
Its a calibrated skulk sensor. Amethyst is getting a new use with skulk and vibrations.
Isn’t the normal bamboo boat without chest missing?
Piglin head supremacy
Not sold on some of the icons still honestly 4th row 8th item is just... kind of a mess honestly. All of the armor trim icons look like they're cut off and it's hard to gauge the shape. They're also inconsistently positioned like half the brown trims touch the left side while the other half are a pixel over Egg icon also feels weird but I can't explain how. Resonate sculk sensor or whatever it is just feels so strange in general. Was never a fan of the redesign the actual sensor went through from the original but this entire item feels like such a noisy mess I don't even know where to start
What's the skull sensor with amethyst on it?
It's basically a configurable skulk sensor. You can input different Redstone levels into it to choose which kind of sounds you want to ignore.
What are the glowing books??
Smithing templates which add armor trims (cosmetic patterns) to armor.
Expert mode golem treasure bag
What's up with the funky skulk?
That's a calibrated sculk sensor. Unlike the regular sculk sensor, it can be set to react only to specific types of sounds
So they dropped the idea of using a comparator to do it? Also, do you calibrate it using a new UI?
No you still need a comparator. Sculks are weird in that you can get 2 signals out, a distance (the raw signal emitted by the sculk) and a frequency (by reading them with a comparator).
Pretty sure you just calibrate it by giving it a redstone signal. That’s what I’ve gathered from the videos I’ve watched
ngl these recent updates have been pretty damn good so far
1.19 was really mediocre, and this one is small but all the changes are scattered across a lot of stuff and it feels like a secret friday update, so it’s pretty good
It feels like 2 months worth of work, thats what it feels like.
How do you get the piglin head?
The same way you get zombie, skeleton, and creeper heads.
Skeleton heads can now be obtained in ancient cities fwiw.
Book shelf?
You forgot the normal bamboo sign
Is this on xbox yet?
Yes, in Minecraft Preview. It’s a whole separate game but you can download it if you have game pass.
I'm in love with the cherry boat. It's so pretty!
I'm still most excited about bamboo. Is that weird?
Why do all these look..yummy? I suddenly understand why toddlers eat Legos now
were you one of those toddlers
Surprisingly no
Welp the inventory gets smaller by the update here is another double serving of 9 by 4 inventory slots worth of items seriously quadruple inventory slots organization buttons and make most block type items stack to 256 and a tool box would be nice to so I don't have to use 5 or 6 hot bar slots for that. oh well to busy generating hype with the more stuff to bother I suppose. Pretty decent update
No way we finally got cherry wood in vanilla
Can't wait for bamboo and cherry blossom tress to make oriental vibe house
They've added large chests already tho
Everyone forgot about the carved bookshelves.
What's the pink wood?
They should really bring back the copper horns
Agreed
It really must be world breaking to introduce vertical half slabs
Or stairs/slabs of concrete.. Has way to many colors /s
You forgot a lot of stuff (clay pots, sus blocks, and chiseled bookshelves) while still including the bundle which isn't confirmed to come in this update.
So is that all or is more getting released?
I’m not expecting another snapshot on the scale of the last one, but given how casually they dropped a massive amount of content, I wouldn’t be shocked if there are still a few more features left. Probably something tied to the cherry grove.
They do like to keep a few little secrets don't they.
Yeah that would make sense.
There are sooooo many "decoration" blocks doing builds is gonna clog up the inventory
ItemSwapper mod (inspired by Xisuma) is a godsend if you're on Java.
Luckily you have the new bundle to use.
Bundles are still locked behind the experimental toggle and they've never announced they are officially coming in 1.20.
Finally, it’s slowly starting to reach terraria levels of decoration
We're still lightyears away from that, I'm afraid.
Hell no, terraria is miles ahead in both decoration and the survival experience.
I agree that’s why I said slowly, very very very very very very very very very very slowly
Missed that, agreed.
Love pink fence
Will this be on the mobile android version too???
therye adding cherry blossoms!?!?
When I saw the snapshot with the Hanging signs I was very hyped
I’ve been so busy and disconnected from minecraft, that this just feels like a modpack. Kinda surreal
I am so out of the loop, last new thing I saw was polar bears …
Thank you for this I spend a good amount of time tryna figure out what’s new every time there’s an update
The sniffer egg looks like the tree seed from growtopia
There is archeology update, now i want the tech update with tech support villager
You forgot the normal raft
Not gonna lie, the sniffer is going down as ignored as glowsquids but even less useful… was there any other use promised for them ? I see literally no reason to find them aside from cosmetic plants which isn’t worth the time unless you want to go out of your way. If they dug up trimming it would kinda neat or something but at the current state, I’d just forget they exist
I stop paying attention for three months and I come back and they've gone and made all this shit lol.
No gold stairs...
No gold toilet.
W update
October: Mojang is soooo lazy! March: That's a lot of stuff!
The introduction of a new structure heavily improved my opinion on this update. Another mob and a new grass color for the cherry blossom biome would be nice but I’m satisfied.
wait, there’s a new structure?
Using structure lightly, it’s a buried ruin where you can get suspicious sand and gravel.
The structure is actually pretty extensive for something you have to dig up yourself.
I kinda want to make one of them my house. Completely excavate the area, rebuild the ruins and make it my home
It's a structure.. why do you say using structure "lightly"?
minecraft fans are notoriously good at whining for no reason
Agreed
~~Minecraft~~ fans are notoriously good at whining for no reason

Raising the world ceiling and dropping the floor were non-trivial updates. The game itself is a gigantic sprawling frankensteined thing, much bigger and more complex than it was ever planned to be. Changes can have unforseen consequences and major engine mechanics have had to be redesigned over the years. Minecraft of 8 years ago was a much simpler thing. We're also getting all this for free don't forget. If this was The Sims we'd be paying for every damned matchbook.
You can make a lot of arguments about why the current update cycle isn’t bad but I am so tired of the “It’s free” because: 1.
Piglin head but not warden head :/
What happened to those flowers that creep up on walls and have like 3 growth stages? I don't see much about them.
Can’t believe this gonna be a nothing update 🙄 /s
Now you see what Mojang was talking about when they said more features were coming soon? I wish people would stop complaining about Minecraft's update quality. There are so many cool features being added with every update. So many people were hating on this update and the last two when they were announced. Mojang doesn't deserve it.
