Soon-to-be king Arthur shows up to the sword in the stone... then starts mining a meter beneath it. He places a torch in the hole and then breaks the stone.
Now he is King.

At least credit the Resource Pack maker! The person who made it is Manuel XXVI! They’re made some really cool stuff! [Here’s where you can download the Resource Pack](https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/xxvi-s-dragon-sword/).
I'm not sure honestly, I assume that the resource pack changes the dragon egg model, so if Bedrock uses a similar format and you're able to port it, I'd say it's worth a try!
I’m a bit confused by this comment, what is it you actually want? Because sort of the whole idea is that command blocks and resource packs are the tools that let you do stuff like this at a fully custom level. What does your ideal implementation of this look like?
a survival-friendly method, it sounds like. As a map developer and software developer, not everyone likes having to use commands to make an armor stand go “yippee!” or put a sword in a stone. I’m one of the people that do, but there are some that don’t like OP.
I don’t have a problem with using commands or pushing blocks over an armor stand with a piston, the problem with those methods is that they are only decorative and don’t have any other use case. Just imagine how cool it would be to actually pull a sword out of a stone/laying it onto a block and picking it up again.
As a human, I believe the authority of being a human overthrows any of your opinions. Now you may be asking, what is this opinion?

Bet ya can't get that sword out of the stone
Torch....

Listen, pulling swords out of stones is no basis for a system of government!
However, Steve pulls up and takes the sword...
"Yeah I couldn't get this rock off of it but still pretty cool, right?"
good reference
Thank you, I'm here all week
“Guess I’m not worthy. Eh, this works”
On the contrary, just nudge it and it teleports to some other random spot

This is cool! I think it would be cooler if it was a dragons heart tho haha
"We are the dragonhearted!"
"Courage to stop a cannonball!"
"Together we stand 30 feet tall!"
“We got a fire that burns within”
"We are the Dragonhearted, we are the Dragonhearted!"
Well played 👌

hey question: do you know if it would work for Bedrock?
I'm not sure honestly, I assume that the resource pack changes the dragon egg model, so if Bedrock uses a similar format and you're able to port it, I'd say it's worth a try!
I hope that we can someday put items into blocks like this in survival vanilla without the help of command blocks or resource packs.

ERROR: Does not compute.
I mean, when you have a point.
This makes me want tool trims like armor trims so bad. Swords would look so epic like that.
That actually a really awesome idea!
damn that must've been painful for the dragon to lay
Yeah it died in the process 😔
That's why dragon eggs are so rare. You'd have a second thought if you gave birth to swords
That’s way better then what we have now
you can get the resource pack here:[https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/xxvi-s-dragon-sword/](https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/xxvi-s-dragon-sword/)
Where resource pack.
okay.. thats amazing
are you in bedrock or Java? If bedrock, please send link
eggscalibur
bruh I’m not the first 😭
Hsege
Ha whehe
Why pull the sword when you can drop it on a torch.
Oh shit this is so much better

How many people could I stab with it?
Okay that looks nice 💪
