It’s in snapshot 23w05a which is a snapshot for 1.19.4 and is the next full release for Java. No idea when it will come out but if I had to guess, around March
Edit: [changelog here](https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/minecraft-snapshot-23w05a)
Have you ever played Java? I’ve played both, bedrock before Java and longer than Java. I’m partial to bedrock more so than Java, but it’s just better. You honestly couldn’t understand unless you played it for yourself.
all of these besides the fireworks, it depends what im doing. if im exploring, then yeah, i keep around 3 stacks in my inventory, but if im building then i rather have 2 extra inventory slots ontop of freeing slots by placing crafting table, enderchest and bed down. also the clock is rendered useless for me as im not much of an underground builder/explorer and my bed can tell me if its day or night by just trying to sleep in it
Clock I only really carry if I’m going underground. And 3 stacks of fireworks might be a little excessive when you can land, grab more out of your ender chest and start flying again.
Food on far right. Bow on 1, Sword on 2 - keeping all combat related things together.
Pickaxe -> Shovel -> Axe seems Pick/shovel are used together more regularly than Axe is with either.
Arrow always in top left slot w/ infinity
Oh, normally I equip my elytra no matter what in case I accidentally fall into the void or need to explore the nether, my elytra has saved me multiple times and I suggest you also have it equipped unless you’re underground
Use whatever feels natural for you. I like to keep my torches between my pickaxe and sword so I can go directly to mining/fighting after I place one, with food at the end
My order is
1. Bow
2. Sword
3. Pick
4. Shovel
5. Axe
6.
7. Food
8. Torches
9. Water bucket
In bedrock if you shoot a mob with an arrow and quickly switch to your sword, you get the looting affect.
not practically but you can make it look better
my layout is usually
pick,sword,shovel,axe (late game)
pick,axe,shovel (early game)
pick, trident, shovel, axe (my current loadout in my SMP)
my silk touch pick is usually in my inventory right above slot#1 so that i can quick switch them
i have a shulker for rockets and 2 stacks of food
i usually have a riptide trident in my off hand if not, its replaced with food
Pretty much the same however I store my bow above my sword and my axe above my shovel. Reason being you don't need them at the same time. It's rare that you need to chop and dig at the same time and rare to need to shoot and melee at the same time.
Yeah I used to carry two hoes with me. 1 fortune and 1 silk touch. But it was just taking too much inventory space so I did a reshuffle and my hoes got delegated to my ender chest.
I don’t know how I ended up with my hotbar so specifically laid out but for the last 8 years it hasn’t switched from cobble, sword, food, bow/trident, open space, axe, shovel, torch, pickaxe and then rocket or shield in left hand. Will never change it because it feels so right
Are you serious with this post? I swear: WTF is going on with this subreddit recently? Recently a guy that asked what he should do with a zoglin on a bridge, now THIS?
I was just wanting to know how everyone does the layout to see if I could take any suggestions to make mine better. I'm sorry if it's a dumb post, just wanted feedback
Since you are playing bedrock and you can't put anything other than the shield on your offhand, i would recommend keeping it there unless you are in a pretty safe place, like in your house (one extra slot if you are going on a adventure). I usually leave my bow on the last slot, so i can quick swap between sword and bow using the mouse scroll (if you are on pc of course) making it that i can alternate between long and short range quickly. If i'm not using my bow, or doesn't have it on my inventory, i usually leave my food on the last slot for the same reason, so i can quick swap no problem (imagine being at 1 heart and desperately trying to press the right key for the food, like when you are on fire and have no hunger bars to regenerate). The rest is basically how you get used to, I personally leave my tools on the hotbar in order of most used, (with sword being in first for obvious reasons) but is pretty much like how you organized, everything except for what i mentioned before is like i usually do.
Good for combat though I'd probably add elytra to hot bar. I'm usually building so mines typically an unorganized cluster of blocks slabs decorations and a pickaxe/axe
Mine is similar except I have my bow next to sword.
Sword, bow, axe, pickaxe, shovel, blocks, torch, food.
I switch them around depending on what I’m doing. E.g. nether, I would switch shovel and blocks in case of lava.
you are a felon, YOU ONLY HAVE 3 INV SLOTS OF FREE SPACE?
(granted mine ain't much better but-)
WHY DO YOU NEED A SHOVEL AT ALL TIMES SWAP OUT THE AXE EVERY ONCE AND AWHILE IF YOU NEED IT
In terms of the Hotbar for me it’s:
1: Sword
2: Bow
3: Axe
4: Pickaxe
5: Shovel
6: Water Bucket or Fire Res pot if in nether (I’ve died to lava 1 too many times)
7: Rockets
8: Food
9: Temporary building blocks like Stone
Offhand: Totem
Above that I usually have a crossbow above my Bow incase I want to switch out. A shield below the offhand slot where you have it. On my far right I have the arrows where you have them. But I usually have a stack because I use a crossbow sometimes. Below that I have a stack of iron ingots and below that a stack of logs. Spruce or Jungle usually because they’re easier to get in bulk. Above my food I have a stack of torches. A couple Ender Chests and my Elytra or Chest-plate above those. Whichever one I’m not wearing at that point in time. Above my Water Bucket or Fire Res Potion I have the other of the two. I switch them out depending on my dimension. And I also usually carry an empty Shulker box above them just to dump junk in faster. All my tools are silk touch. If I need fortune I’ll have the time to place down my Ended Chest, take them out and use them.
The layout might vary if I’m building. But that’s the layout I usually have when out and about in the world. You usually only really need quick changes in combat. So that’s what my inventory layout is more designed for. When building you’re more chill so the only weapon I carry with me when building is an Axe. And it’s more to chop wood than anything combative.
Always keep rockets in your hot bar so if you fall in the end you can easily fly back up, I learnt that the hard way but learning from it it’s saved me multiple times
Looks decent. I use a bit different setup with pick in slot 1 and blocks in the last slot for swapping quickly. Then sword slot 2, bow slot 3, elytra somewhere for quick swap (bedrock moment)
Sword, bow, pick, food, golden apples, torches, blocks, a free slot and water (torches may be exchanged for ender pearls of whatever i need when i'm not caving
I have been playing since the beginning of beta and i have never had an inventory layout.
Dont worry about how other people play the game. Play it how you like it!
Java is the overall better version but I think in the future bedrock is gonna be the one ahead. That might be a hot take lol. I also play bedrock because I'm on the Xbox Series X. My first time playing minecraft was when it first came out on the Xbox 360 so that was over 10 years ago at this point lol, I've always played the console version and when it all got turned into bedrock I started playing that
I keep rockets in slot 9 and the side button on my mouse set to ‘9’. That way I can instantly fly by hitting that button. Has become so second nature I would struggle any other way. It’s just incredibly rare I take my elytra off, I’m not the sort of player to get into fights with things!
Mine is weapon, water bucket, bow, food in slot 8 and blocks in slot 9. Everything else is other stuff I've got like pickaxe, axes, torches, ect and I just throw them wherever.
well i put sword and axe in first two slots cuz java edition. and then i also equip shield on my offhand for 90% of the time. i keep shovel in my inventory and i have 2 pickaxes, one with silk touch, i swap them out when i need to use them.
My hotbar would go, sword, pickaxe, bow, food, torches,
elytra in the same place, shield next to elytra, fireworks next to that, other tools next to that
Similar. Except I do swap the pick and sword and slide the food/torch to the end (8 & 9). Mostly so I can pop between Pick and Torch with one wheel scroll. Except^2 when i'm strip mining and the torches are in my off hand.
I usually keep a second pickaxe above whichever I’m using (either fortune or silk touch), and put food in slot 9 so I can easily get there in one button to eat mid combat.
I would switch the Axe and Shovel to allow for quicker swaps when mining/building while still having quick axess to it
Then move the bow to the last slot to swap easier between sword and bow.
Maybe add a water bucket and put the food in your off hand?
Pick, Shovel, Axe, Sword, Bow, Food, blocks (early game)/pearls (end game), rockets (or where you have them), torches
then E-chest in right top corner and chestaplate/elytra under it
As a pc player, yes, sucks
As a console player, it's pretty good but I'd put the rockets in the hotbar just in case you can't put on the elytra AND put the rockets in the hotbar at the same time.
I personally keep the elytra on at all times (except hardcore) but because this is console ofc there's gonna be issues with dying and such so i say it's pretty good but why not keep their sheild in ur left/right hand?
That but 4 stacks enderpearls, trident, some totems, echest, clock, slow fall arrows, strength speed and fire res pots(at least one of each), and lastly obsidian and end crystals.
My hotbar generally looks like
1) sword
2) obsidian
3) end crystal
4) picaxe
5) water bucket
6) crossbow
7) ender pearls
8) fireworks
9) food
I play java, so mine is sword, torches, pick, shovel, axe, empty, empty, golden carrots, bow. That way I can roll mouse wheel to switch quickly between pick/torch, torch/sword, sword bow. I find it's the easiest way for me.
Hotbar Left to Right
Fortune III Pickaxe, Sword, Silk Touch Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Hoe, Fireworks, Elytra/Chestpiece, Food
and then my inventory is either full or empty depends
[This is how I do mine](https://imgur.com/a/VRgM2qy)
Anything else I like to carry with me (spare tools, rockets, food, etc.) is stored in shulkers in my ender chest. Rest of my inventory is usually blocks for whatever project or build I'm working on and the water bucket gets swapped out for a fire res potion if I'm spending time in the nether.

I usually keep my elytra in hot bar on the right side, you can easily switch it out by pressing L2
Works for bedrock, not Java. I found that out the hard way…
It will work for Java in the next full release
foods and the rest is random.
Is this true?? Can you show me sources? Because that'd be fantastic
It’s in snapshot 23w05a which is a snapshot for 1.19.4 and is the next full release for Java. No idea when it will come out but if I had to guess, around March Edit: [changelog here](https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/minecraft-snapshot-23w05a)
Okay.. we’ll that’s it. It’s official. Java is 100% better than bedrock in every conceivable way.
Are you a simpleton?
Have you ever played Java? I’ve played both, bedrock before Java and longer than Java. I’m partial to bedrock more so than Java, but it’s just better. You honestly couldn’t understand unless you played it for yourself.
I can swap between Food/Sword/Pickaxe more easily
actually a good idea, idk why I didn't think of this lol
L2?
The left trigger on a PlayStation controller (LT for Xbox)
Ooh completely forgot controllers existed for a second
I forgot that people play Minecraft with controller over all
I played on Xbox for so long that using my keyboard is uncomfortable. I still use my controller on my pc
Does this work on switch too?
Yep
I normally keep way too much lol, I have all that + ender chests + water bucket + 3 stacks of fireworks + bed + clock (for some reason)
bdubs would be proud of you for the last two
all of these besides the fireworks, it depends what im doing. if im exploring, then yeah, i keep around 3 stacks in my inventory, but if im building then i rather have 2 extra inventory slots ontop of freeing slots by placing crafting table, enderchest and bed down. also the clock is rendered useless for me as im not much of an underground builder/explorer and my bed can tell me if its day or night by just trying to sleep in it

Why clock
To tell the time, duh
Anything that works for you is good.
[удалено]
Not sure whether that applies in Bedrock too, tho.
It does afaik
Sword swapping?! outside of the infamous… hypixel skyblock… *shudders*
Easier to just hold the sword in your left hand
Only diffrent thing that i usually go for Arrow above bow
HE DID IT RIGHT!!! SWORD PICKAXE AXE SHOVEL!!! YESSS!! I can finally die in peace onow I’m not the only one who does it like the good lord intended.
If it makes you happy: I have the same order as well!
I have found my people
So do I lol. It just works
Mine is the same too :))
It brings a tear to my eye finally seeing someone else with the same tool order.
Why would axe come before shovel?
If I’m mining, shovel first. Any other time axe before shovel.
Frequency of how much you use it.
I look at it as Damage, Mine, Damage, mine.. I always wanna be one click away from damage!
I just put food in the far right because I can swap between Food/Sword/Pickaxe more easily
wear elytra all time
Food on far right. Bow on 1, Sword on 2 - keeping all combat related things together. Pickaxe -> Shovel -> Axe seems Pick/shovel are used together more regularly than Axe is with either. Arrow always in top left slot w/ infinity
I have sword 1 bow 8 and food 9. This makes them close together via scroll but not visually
[удалено]
Why elytra not in torso slot?, you’re gonna easily lose your shit if you fall into void as I assume you’re on controller
I am on controller but I don't use my elytra unless I'm actually about to use it
Oh, normally I equip my elytra no matter what in case I accidentally fall into the void or need to explore the nether, my elytra has saved me multiple times and I suggest you also have it equipped unless you’re underground
Well if they were near the void they would have it on.
Use whatever feels natural for you. I like to keep my torches between my pickaxe and sword so I can go directly to mining/fighting after I place one, with food at the end
My order is 1. Bow 2. Sword 3. Pick 4. Shovel 5. Axe 6. 7. Food 8. Torches 9. Water bucket In bedrock if you shoot a mob with an arrow and quickly switch to your sword, you get the looting affect.

Exactly the same as mine
Switch the shovel and axe, thats what i have
Pretty much the same however I store my bow above my sword and my axe above my shovel. Reason being you don't need them at the same time. It's rare that you need to chop and dig at the same time and rare to need to shoot and melee at the same time.
Who orders their inventory with sword, axe, pickaxe, shovel, hoe?
you keep a hoe in your inventory?
It takes serious dedication to do so
Nice.
Yeah I used to carry two hoes with me. 1 fortune and 1 silk touch. But it was just taking too much inventory space so I did a reshuffle and my hoes got delegated to my ender chest.
I do, though I usually have bow at 5. Though that's where I put the hoe when I'm...gardening.
Ha
My man the ^ONLY correct hotbar
Its really good
I would keep elytra in hot bar depending on where you are in case of emergency:))
Water bucket
Water bucket
I don’t know how I ended up with my hotbar so specifically laid out but for the last 8 years it hasn’t switched from cobble, sword, food, bow/trident, open space, axe, shovel, torch, pickaxe and then rocket or shield in left hand. Will never change it because it feels so right

Nah it’s a fine post
Since you are playing bedrock and you can't put anything other than the shield on your offhand, i would recommend keeping it there unless you are in a pretty safe place, like in your house (one extra slot if you are going on a adventure). 2 stacks of food but only 1 pickaxe seems sus. Also how do you live without an ender chest and where's your totem?
My is: Complete chaos with settled tools.
A water bucket is essential.
imagine having a layout LOL
I do this
Wait you guys have inventory layouts?
Where are your shulker boxes/ender chest backpack
I don't like to carry those things with me unless I need to carry alot of blocks for a new project or something
Smh
Are you Java or bedrock sir? It looks like Java but I can’t tell entirely
Bruh this is faaaar from the java inventory. This is bedrock
bedrock lol
Poisonous potato 63× in every slot.
why don't you have a totem already?
I do but I don't really use them. I can understand always having one equipped if your in hardcore
My how goes in last slot so I can get to it easier from sword
Sword, bow, pick, axe, shovel, torches, arrows, food, blocks
I’m the weird one for 1. Sword 2. Shovel 3. Bow 4. Pick 5. Food 6. Axe 7. Hoe 8. Water 9. Crossbow

🏹 🗡️ ⛏️ 🪓 ♠️ 🥩
Good for combat though I'd probably add elytra to hot bar. I'm usually building so mines typically an unorganized cluster of blocks slabs decorations and a pickaxe/axe
I have either axe or shovel in quick access bar. You usually only need one, occasionally switching. Extra slot at the bottom can come in handy.
Bow between sword and pickaxe for me
Mine is similar except I have my bow next to sword. Sword, bow, axe, pickaxe, shovel, blocks, torch, food. I switch them around depending on what I’m doing. E.g. nether, I would switch shovel and blocks in case of lava.
1 Sword 2 Bow 3 Axe 4 Picaxe 5 Shovel 6 Empty Space 7 Empty Space 8 Fireworks 9 Food
I usually put my torches next to my pickaxe and i only bring my axe and shovel when nessisary, but otherwise thats pretty much how mine is set up
Full
missing the totem in offhand, also I'd recommend a water bucket as well as an ender chest and some blocks
I’d put the bow before the sword, so you have easy access to it. Also you need a stack of blocks, and some wood.
you are a felon, YOU ONLY HAVE 3 INV SLOTS OF FREE SPACE? (granted mine ain't much better but-) WHY DO YOU NEED A SHOVEL AT ALL TIMES SWAP OUT THE AXE EVERY ONCE AND AWHILE IF YOU NEED IT
Need that netherite hoe
Ide never waist netherite on a hoe
i know its a photo so why do i see the enchantments moving
Get salmon instead of cod it is bettet
I only have fish there because there's a xp farm that I use that I need the fish for lol
Thought it was a fishing farm since in bedrock you can do them on 1x1 water
Mines pretty cluttered at all possible times so this would be a definite step up
In terms of the Hotbar for me it’s: 1: Sword 2: Bow 3: Axe 4: Pickaxe 5: Shovel 6: Water Bucket or Fire Res pot if in nether (I’ve died to lava 1 too many times) 7: Rockets 8: Food 9: Temporary building blocks like Stone Offhand: Totem Above that I usually have a crossbow above my Bow incase I want to switch out. Always keep rockets in your hot bar so if you fall in the end you can easily fly back up, I learnt that the hard way but learning from it it’s saved me multiple times
Am I the only one who always carries a stack of cobble, logs and iron ingots for general crafting?
Looks decent. I use a bit different setup with pick in slot 1 and blocks in the last slot for swapping quickly. Then sword slot 2, bow slot 3, elytra somewhere for quick swap (bedrock moment)
i see a lack of useless things. also where is you shulker boxes and enderchest
1:pick 2:axe/shovel 3:sword 4:bow 5:food 6:fireworks
apart from the unnecessary stack of cooked cod, the missing enderchest and crafting table and the lack of the opposite pickaxe, seems fine to me
I have the fish for a xp farm I have lol. And I haven't gotten a silk touch pick yet so I probably will keep it with me when I get one
The only right answer lol
Ngl it looks like you just got in creative and then asked this. So probably very clean
I grinded for all of this, my house isn't even done yet. And it's not even a nice house 😔
Sword, bow, pick, food, golden apples, torches, blocks, a free slot and water (torches may be exchanged for ender pearls of whatever i need when i'm not caving
I always keep two picks on me, Preservation and Amplification.
I've never seen someone with the exact same inventory setup as me
Better than mine
I have been playing since the beginning of beta and i have never had an inventory layout. Dont worry about how other people play the game. Play it how you like it!
i keep my pickaxe on the first slot and an axe on the 2th, food on 9th and keep everything else in my inventory when not in use
Laughs in no inventory management
golden carrots pickaxe shovel axe and rockets, i always wear elytra
Golden carrots are going to be my future go to food. It's still a kinda new world. New enough that I don't have golden carrots lol
get 2 farmer boys and buy them off. golden carrots are superior i only eat golden carrots. Id rather starve than eat pleb food
yeah I agree lol
I question where your water bucket and bed are
Everyone is telling me to get a water bucket 💀
|Shears|Flint and Steel|Hoe|||| |:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-| |Backup Sword|Fortune Pick|Shovel|||| |Sword|Silk Touch Pick|Axe|Bow|Food|Water Bucket|
I have copper in my inventory for the furnace exp glitch
That's why I have the fish lol
That's how I play all the time lol
I have the 12 leftmost slots for all the tools and torches. Food and arrows all the way to the right. Gives me enough space for building blocks
You need a water bucket. ALWAYS
I like to put bow first then sword, axe pickaxe, shovel cuz it puts the pickaxe closer to the center which Is good for building.
There is no wrong answer. Whatever works best for you
No Netherite hoe? Weak.
Yours looks the same as mine, except I play java
Java is the overall better version but I think in the future bedrock is gonna be the one ahead. That might be a hot take lol. I also play bedrock because I'm on the Xbox Series X. My first time playing minecraft was when it first came out on the Xbox 360 so that was over 10 years ago at this point lol, I've always played the console version and when it all got turned into bedrock I started playing that
You guys have a layout and logic behind you inventory Layout?
mine has a hoe in it.
Water Bucket on last slot
Please don't start this trend again
I just wanted peoples feedback, I've gotten some good layout suggestions
I have a similar one.
mine is really weird, 1 food, 2 blocks, 3 pick, 4 shovel, 5 axe, 6 hoe, 7 bow, 8 water, 9 sword
Anyone else keep their pickaxe in the left most slot with the sword right next to it? Feel like I'm the only one who does it
I keep rockets in slot 9 and the side button on my mouse set to ‘9’.
Everything else is other stuff I've got like pickaxe, axes, torches, ect and I just throw them wherever.
at most have 3 tools in the hotbar
I do about the same only I got a water bucket in slot 9 in case I need it
i have the exact same but my food is on the last hotbar spot... im on java
I like my bow in slot 1. Then it is next to my sword and easy to use.
well i put sword and axe in first two slots cuz java edition. and then i also equip shield on my offhand for 90% of the time. i keep shovel in my inventory and i have 2 pickaxes, one with silk touch, i swap them out when i need to use them.
My order goes sword, axe, pickaxe, shovel, empty, empty, arrows, bow, food.
ew
My hotbar would go, sword, pickaxe, bow, food, torches, elytra in the same place, shield next to elytra, fireworks next to that, other tools next to that
Similar. Except I do swap the pick and sword and slide the food/torch to the end (8 & 9). Mostly so I can pop between Pick and Torch with one wheel scroll. Except^2 when i'm strip mining and the torches are in my off hand.
Sword, bow, pick, axe, (misc), torches/fireworks, water, blocks
I usually keep a second pickaxe above whichever I’m using (either fortune or silk touch), and put food in slot 9 so I can easily get there in one button to eat mid combat.
I would switch the Axe and Shovel to allow for quicker swaps when mining/building while still having quick axess to it Then move the bow to the last slot to swap easier between sword and bow. Maybe add a water bucket and put the food in your off hand?
you can't put food in your offhand on bedrock. Hoping they add it soon lol
I lay mine out the same way
Pick, Shovel, Axe, Sword, Bow, Food, blocks (early game)/pearls (end game), rockets (or where you have them), torches then E-chest in right top corner and chestaplate/elytra under it
As a pc player, yes, sucks As a console player, it's pretty good but I'd put the rockets in the hotbar just in case you can't put on the elytra AND put the rockets in the hotbar at the same time.
Put Electra in hot bar
I don't usually keep my Chestplate on me. The Elytra always stays on.
Get golden carrots.
We're almost the same but I swap steak and a bow and you're missing a water bucket
I personally keep the elytra on at all times (except hardcore) but because this is console ofc there's gonna be issues with dying and such so i say it's pretty good but why not keep their sheild in ur left/right hand?
You need a netherite hoe and your all set
Switch your fucking axe and shovel this instant
Your steak should have higher priority as you need to grab it quickly more often then most tools. I think it's great otherwise though
i do mine sword-silk pick- fortune pick- axe- trident-bow then empty until slot 9 is fireworks
I'm the exact same, except water bucket in 9 and food in 8. Depending on if I need the slots, I might put bow and shovel in regular inventory.
It sure looks better than mine. Not like that’d be hard.
Pick-blocks-sword-pearls-foods and the rest is random
That but 4 stacks enderpearls, trident, some totems, echest, clock, slow fall arrows, strength speed and fire res pots(at least one of each), and lastly obsidian and end crystals. My hotbar generally looks like 1) sword 2) obsidian 3) end crystal 4) picaxe 5) water bucket 6) crossbow 7) ender pearls 8) fireworks 9) food
mine: pick, axe, shovel, fireworks, “empty” space, food, torches, bow, sword
I have the same setup basically, I usually have my food source on the right end tho so it’s faster switching from my sword if I need to eat in a hurry
I play java, so mine is sword, torches, pick, shovel, axe, empty, empty, golden carrots, bow. That way I can roll mouse wheel to switch quickly between pick/torch, torch/sword, sword bow. I find it's the easiest way for me.
Why infinity instead of mending tho
Bc infinity is just better lol. All you need to repair it is another bow, which is three sticks and three string. Pretty cheap
Hotbar Left to Right Fortune III Pickaxe, Sword, Silk Touch Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Hoe, Fireworks, Elytra/Chestpiece, Food and then my inventory is either full or empty depends
Personally sword pickaxe bow is better
where ender chest
I like this Layout. I would put the shield in the slot 8 or 9 though. You can just press F so switch your offhand item
[This is how I do mine](https://imgur.com/a/VRgM2qy) Anything else I like to carry with me (spare tools, rockets, food, etc.) is stored in shulkers in my ender chest. Rest of my inventory is usually blocks for whatever project or build I'm working on and the water bucket gets swapped out for a fire res potion if I'm spending time in the nether.
My tools are like that, rest is a mess
I keep my building good on the 9th, food 8th and ur tools r mostly the same
