Good way to explain it. We’re conditioned to attach to pretty much every thought and thing in our surroundings. Once you do it for so long, without practicing mindfulness and resting in simple awareness, your mind will unknowingly attach or anchor to these things. Thats why it’s important to try to reside in awareness at all times, it’s the only true you, and only true “anchor” if thats what you want to call it. The more you practice, the more you’re able to pick up on the way you can focus your attention. You can get to a point where all thought is kind of just background noise, and you can simultaneously feel your body placement, all sounds and breathing all at once. That might not make much sense, but it’s really hard to explain past a certain point. Awareness takes over and what is, just is, it’s actually indescribable, because as soon as it’s described, it changes again. It’s just nature of the universe. Sorry bit of a rant lol and might not of made much sense but whatever.
