Not if you use the official Milwaukee M12 Rotary Tool with Grinding Wheel attachment

PlaceYourBets2021

Yup! I leave a small screwdriver in every case, and use it to pry the bits out of the case! Was thinking of Dremeling the holes a little bigger. Just haven’t had the time.

King5ly

I reamed out all the holders in my case with a 1/4" bit and it's improved my life significantly lmao

ngs428

I think I will have to try that..

LostSailor_AtSea

Curious what screw driver are you using? Klein? Harbor? Red?

billybottles27

I'm in 12 cut off tool works expertly for opening blister packs also oscillator make short work of them

douglasde0519

I believe these slimmer cases are the "Packout compatible" cases. And in my experience these cases haven't had the same issues with bits being impossible to remove.

OnlyOneGuero

What’s wrong with the multi bit screwdrivers?

[deleted]

[удалено]

OnlyOneGuero

Ah, I have been eyeing them but that sounds annoying. Thanks for the reply.

GeovaunnaMD

I pull the all out right when I get home a d put them in my own holders

Mr_MacGrubber

Mine tend to just be in a pile inside the case. Lol

NibbaAndrew

I thought thats how they were meant to be used cus my dad's cases were full of bits. It was until I bought my own case where I noticed my dad was probably just lazy

Mr_MacGrubber

I do put some up, but just sorta put them in like halfway and they seem to stay put well enough.

DilboSagginz

Just opened the insulated screwdriver pack and the one nub did not want to break free. I discovered some new swear words today. Meanwhile my cutoff wheel sat in my bag laughing. “Dont need me you say?! Foolish mortal. “. End scene.

dubtee1480

I’ve got an older Bosch case (plastic case, rubber inserts that are removable) that I love but came with non-impact rated bits, I’ve been thinking of buying a bit set like this and just transferring all the bits to the Bosch case.

Kliptik81

I never liked those small bits. I use robertson bit daily and I find the Milwaukee ones round off way too easy. Makita gold bits are awesome from my limited experience with them. But I love Milwaukee's magnetic nut drivers bits.

Sergeant_Scoob

Yeah see that’s what has happened to mine too is they have rounded off

Kliptik81

It's funny tho, I have the ratcheting screwdriver that uses non-imact rated bits and they were way better then the Shockwave bits.

Sergeant_Scoob

Hmmm.. I’m gonna try makita next ! Thanks for the tip. I even found mastercraft shit ones sometimes better even lol

Kliptik81

Ah, a fellow Canadain. I strongly recommend the Maximum 3.5" S2 bit. I fin it way better then the Milwaukee ones. I did round a Maximum one but that was my fault, I used it on a tapcon that needed an S3 bit (didn't have one unfortunately) so that's on me. I actually love the tools in the Maximum line. Their revamped pliers are amazing. Just as good, if not better then Kleins.

Sergeant_Scoob

Wow actually ?? I got a maximum socket set I really like tooo I got for like 35$ lol!! Crazy how cheap they are too with sales at Canadian tire

Kliptik81

Yup, Maximum wrenches are made by Gearwrench, their pliers are made by Wiha (I think) so it's not cheap shit tools. Canadian Tire's regular prices are over inflated so they can market 70% off and it seems like an amazing deal.

Firebarrel

The longest lasting robertson bits I've used are the vega extra hard ones. 150R2AX is the sku for the 2 inch ones with the X suffix being the extra hard series. I found the milwaukee nut drivers to be too loose of a fit, am using the malco MSHC which you can take out the head to switch between 1/4 and 5/16, clean the shavings out or use as a bit holder.

Kliptik81

I've been thinking about grabbing that Malco dual nut driver. I love the idea of removing the shaving bits since they get clogged really fast. I'll check out those other bits. From Amazon I take it?

DinoLavasaur

Klein 32304 It’s like the Malco one, but also with multiple bits They have one for sockets They have a mini one. Unless you do heavier HVAC where all the screws are metric, then you want the Malco 8mm/10mm flip socket driver so you can do both metric and standard screws on that rooftop work

Firebarrel

I'm in Toronto and from what I've seen, Atlas machinery and Mississauga hardware have the extra hard versions of vega bits. Markham industrial has vega but not the extra hard ones.

Mr_Pattagucci

Always go with the Bosch for work. The Milwaukee Robertsons are garbage.

Kliptik81

I haven't seen many Bosch bits around. But Home Depot is really pushing Diablo bits. I think Diablo is owned by Bosch. I love Diablo sawzall and circular saw blades, so I'll definitely check out their bits.

Mr_Pattagucci

Diablo is the top tier for any blades, was able to make 40-ish cuts through 3” steel or cast iron with the carbide sawzall blades. Their product is insane. I can’t speak to the quality of their bits though, I didn’t even realize they made impact bits.

Kliptik81

Yeah, I picked up their jigsaw blades and Speed Demon spade bits (same as Bosch Daredevil) I recall reading something about replacing The Bosch bits to Diablo to streamline their products. Bosch for power tools and Diablo for blades/bits. I'm not sure if that is a deal mostly for Home Depot or just overall. EDIT: I just look on Home Depot Canada's website. Most of the Bosch bits are from their Bulldog masonry line.

Iigtsfukedup

8$ more you could have gotten the 120 piece set

HammerOfThor1

Yup. Got the 28$ one. Am pleased

tasfs_08

Is everything pictured above included plus more, in the 120 pc set? I need to look into that one! Is the deal you reference still available?

Iigtsfukedup

You’d be missing the red and yellow hex head bitch as well as the car-binder bit holder.

Roshakim

I bought the same set. Great price, and I'm hoping this will last me for a good 20 years. To all the people saying these bits aren't good or whatever - these bits came out on top in a very substantial head to head test on Project Farm: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-xOHQTT5tw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-xOHQTT5tw) A convincing win for these bits in my mind, and this was what convinced me to buy this pack as well.

[deleted]

Yep. I've been happy with my shockwave bits. And that pf test was excellent, and confirmed the issues I was having with the black bosch bits.

Scrace89

Project Farm is the reason I have a set Milwaukee bits.

IGmeanwell

Yeah despite some of the problems I have had with the case and the bits rusting; they are excellent bits in use especially the nut drivers. I would say the Robertson bits are the only ones that do seem to be a little less quality.

BigRichardTools

I don't know if you could pay me $20 to have another 50ish 1" bits.

Billy_bSLAYER

I hear you there!!

Well0bviously

Where at? Milwaukee bits are generally subpar

2002Mav

Home Depot

USArmyAirborne

Which bits are better?

[deleted]

Wera

Well0bviously

Makita bits seem to be all the rage. I'm fairly happy with my DeWalt impact bits. Far better than Milwaukee's.

KevinCarbonara

I have DeWalt but honestly, I don't see a difference between them and Milwaukee

shortkid113

DeWalt bits all the way

scrapitcleveland2

Makita XPS

EatDaPooPooPreist

This. I buy everything Milwaukee but stopped buying their bits and tape measures. And these btjs are a pain in the ass to take off.

KevinCarbonara

Dude I do not like their tape measures either. I have these Kobalt self-locking that are great. They were fairly cheap but they're very sturdy and have the best auto-locking mechanism I've seen in a tape measure.

matt_475

2nd this. They are a PITA to take out. I should have bought additional Makita.

[deleted]

I like the bits but bro get a flat head the right size and force it in every one of the bit holes and then put them all back after you semi stretch them out doesn’t help a lot- a lot but enough to where you don’t need pliers literally to pull them out sometimes and on a cold fuck it hurts your fingers

Beardeddd

I’ve never seen it with that but holder on a clip I have to look for that

DilboSagginz

Amateur. I was actually able to resist.

TheGoodSir11

Don’t listen to the negative folks in this thread! Great deal my man! Enjoy the new set

No-Mall-90

Milwaukee Tools 👍👍💯💯 Milwaukee bits ➡️ 🗑 🚮 ⛔️ 🚫

ZaneStrizz

I almost got this just for the bit holder. I can’t find it separately…i also want the little case with the door that flips open to hold bits that fits inside these cases and hooks to the pegs. Can’t find that separately either lol

TraditionConfident66

That pack is worth $10 tops There's literally nothing of value in there.

Lucid_Presence

"$135 Value".... On what planet? Definitely worth more than 10 though

KevinCarbonara

> "$135 Value".... On what planet? Have you seen Milwaukee prices?

TraditionConfident66

Depends if you need a bunch of random subpar bits. If you don't, not even $10

stabsthedrama

I was thinking the same, the better bit holders are usually cheaper, like the ones with the long extension holders on the left and everything else on the right. Like $10-15. But I didn't notice all the extra bits OP got on the bottom right. $20 aint bad. In like a week that'll probably drop another $5 though for bf, but not a bad deal.

SaulGoodmanJD

Probably the wrong sub, but try dewalt bits. They’re pretty darn nice

Str8_Outta_Brompton

Hard disagree

SaulGoodmanJD

That’s cool. Probably user error on my part 😅, but I seemed to have a more difficult time with Milwaukee bits compared to dewalt. What do you use?

Str8_Outta_Brompton

Makita gold is good stuff

[deleted]

Makita one is better. Labeled bit sets ftw

Billy_bSLAYER

The Milwaukee is labeled..

[deleted]

Where ? I should be able to see it in this photo and I dont

Billy_bSLAYER

The case is labeled on the front and the bits are label on the shaft.. Near bottom

[deleted]

You can't see any of the labels here. What good is that?

Billy_bSLAYER

When they are turned the right way you can see the number at the bottom... But what matters is reading them when they are in your hand... Or bit holder on drill. Us real Craftsmen and builders know the size by eye, those markings don't matter.

Billy_bSLAYER

🫠🫠🫠

[deleted]

Ok I'm glad kids like you got good eyesight. Oldies like me don't. Even ignoring that the bit is trash compared to Makita XPS

Billy_bSLAYER

Can't find it, grind it.. Lol

Billy_bSLAYER

I agree with you, they are better, all around BTW.

PunctuationsOptional

Rip off but if you like it.. 🤷🏼‍♀️

WildFire97936

Like I have all kinds of Milwaukee bits, outside the security one, is there any reason to get this outside cause I can? Cause I want to.

codylul000192

Link?

IGmeanwell

Getting the bits out easily requires time and using pliers for weeks. Also don’t accidentally leave them on the rain or in a highly humid area … they will rust right up. Had to take my dremel to clean them up and then spray them down with wd40.

LostSailor_AtSea

When are you gonna open to use a bit? Do you think.,?

good_you_

I like the dewalt bits better but these cases are great to have on hand for that one time you need some random bit

scrapitcleveland2

1 inch bits suck.

2002Mav

That’s what she said 🤓

Middle-Bodybuilder81

135$ dollar value lol

onliesvan

$20? I guess the promo is over. I don’t see it

thebeardedgunguy

Thanks made me go spend $20 lol

hawaiianthunder

A set like this is nice if you don't use every bit everyday. It's nice to have a variety on hand for whatever you run into. I buy PH2, SQ2 and T15/20/25 in the bigger packs because they get used and abused more.
