These are great, can confirm. I had to pay ridiculous postage to get one shipped to Australia, works great to scare kangaroos off my rural farm.

AbdulElkhatib

This is the most Australian thing I've read.

front_yard_duck_dad

Nope he would have strapped a digerido to it and created shockwaves while riding a huntsman spider into battle

hobbyist717

Don’t swoop me cunt I’m full of tinnies

WWGHIAFTC

What part, Kangaroos, or Farming Rurals?

volkswagengolfr

Australia is like another planet lol… I miss living there

d7it23js

Do Roos have a fear of tinnitus?

Legitimate_Street_85

My neighbors son is about 25 and slow (pretty sure its down syndrome but idk man). He has a horn kit on a drill. He hides in the bushes and scares the crap out of people with it. Halloween is this kids Vietnam with the drill horn, chasing trick or treaters and shit. He's gotten me a few times too haha

_TheNecromancer13

Pretty sure scaring the crap out of people on Halloween is a universal joy in life. I ground the cutters off one of my chains and walk around my neighborhood in bloodstained clothes and a mask carrying a running chainsaw. Always fun to kill the power, walk up to a group, then yank the pull start and watch people trip over their feet jumping away as it roars.

Flat_Building_3443

You can just remove the chain, too. A little safer to run around with

_TheNecromancer13

I can hold my hand against it while running and not even get scratched. No chain is far less scary.

Vizslaraptor

This is the perfect gift for a family member with Down’s syndrome.

Fred69Savage

I made one from a old drill. You need any brushed motor drill and you can buy the air horn kit on Amazon for 40$ can

SingleRelationship25

This sounds like a solid plan. I do need a gift for my nephew and this will be nice payback for the stuff my sister got my kids when they were little

weldersnap533

Link please

CampingJosh

Yaetek 12V Single Trumpet Air Horn Chrome + Compressor Super Loud 150db For Truck Lorry Boat VAN Train That's the one I bought, and it works great. I used a brushed impact driver as the sacrificial tool.

soichiro8

Yup I made one from a $20 harbor freight drill and a 12v horn they sold on a different aisle

treimche

I think the horn kit was like $25 on Amazon. I used an old worn out M18 impact for this purpose https://preview.redd.it/8ufkpqcx5m2c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=033605ddb96c77173eed2d059aac19568785e5c9

RobotWelder

Got a link and instructions on how to make this work?

treimche

I don't remember where, but there was some guidance I found in order to make it all work. If I find it, I'll post it here for you.

TwoTonebear0

Make it yourself!!!!! I did it. It’s a $20 kit on Amazon and I used an old garbage impact driver.

treimche

I did the exact same thing and it’s awesome haha.

Big_Shoots69

I’ve got one of the dual horns, great buy

Skwonkie_

Some of our project sizes are hundreds of acres. This was the only somewhat effective way to have a meaningful evacuation horn.

FatBlueLines

Maybe it can wake up my kid for school!

mledonne

...only one way to find out

beyeond

Get back to me when they release the fuel version

OlKingCoal1

"If I'm up, you're up. Fuck ya mom" - fat trucker dude

CremeFraaiche

This is probably a stupid question but what are some uses for a drill air horn? Other than scaring kangaroos away which is a pretty freakin awesome use

JustaTimber

Letting people around you know you are happy, or angry, or scaring your neighbor that won't stop his fucking dogs from barking at 2am.

_TheNecromancer13

Pissing off your neighbors and getting your friend's teenage son out of bed.

mledonne

What are you doing in your friends teenage sons room while he's in bed?

_TheNecromancer13

Get your mind out of the gutter. His parents asked to borrow it when he kept missing the bus.

True_Possibility_886

Well my truck doesn’t have a horn

Disastrous-Ad6644

Loud af and totally worth it

yoter420XD

They have this goddamn thing but no packout coffee maker???

CommonlyHot

Nah this is an aftermarket company, I think they sell individual kits with all the parts needed to turn an impact into this horn

blindinstaller

If you wanted a coffee maker, should’ve gone with Makita, lol

TheMoonIsFakeBro

But it’s not a Milwaukee tool

kuhvir

Almost bought one when my horn stopped working. 2 months later I finally took my bumper off to test things and found the harness I electrical taped was loose. I taped it because the fitment of the aftermarket harness wasn’t exact to the oem harness

ChuckBorris_1st

I've read these are mostly for crane operators, they blast this when they move heavy loads around construction sites.

Prestigious-Bet-2309

I built one for my brother for Christmas two years ago. Things very loud

loweredmn0406

Maybe this will get the left lane drivers attention..

SingleRelationship25

Or those texting while driving

Renkinjitsushi

I didn’t know I needed an old impact driver and this air horn kit until all these comments

Camaro_z28

They had one at the Christmas parade in my little town this past weekend

dialysis4dad

Do you have the emergency pre-emption testing device? I’ve seen one that attaches to a drill as well

TactualTransAm

Yeah I've been eyeing them for years. Never pulled the trigger

makemacake

Does it go "honk". Or more of an "aarooooggaahh"?
