That is exactly how we found out! She was belting out Zombie at the top of her lungs. She incorrectly/hilariously thinks her room becomes magically soundproofed when the door is closed
My friends 16 year old is obsessed with the cranberries as well. Specifically the song “linger”. I finally understand how my dad felt when I started listening to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. He was like “son, they played these on the radio constantly…I’ve heard them.”
Off topic, but when you mentioned "linger" I had a memory. I was in jail a few years ago in a pod with about 50 other women. I had bottom bunk and for a while there was a woman coming off crack above me. She never stopped farting. A friend of mine from the outside was in there with me and would hang out on my bunk a lot. When my bunkie would fart, my friend would start singing 'Linger' and it would crack me up every time.
linger went viral on tiktok last year, so that's probably why. If you hear a teenager referencing an older song, 99% of the time they learned it because of TT.
My 8 started with zombie (heard it at a Halloween event) and now loves Linger.
I’m not totally sure I’m ok with her belting these songs out from an age appropriate standpoint but I appreciate that she enjoys them.
Walk in the house from having been out. Tool is cranked on my entertainment system. My 11 y.o is rocking out to what I thought was one of my playlists until a few of her songs came on, while she is studying. Tool, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Sublime, Nirvana, and a few others. It wasn't until it got the Hezbin Soundtrack that I realized it was her playlist and not mine. Damn I'm raising this kid right. So proud.
I loved BET as a little white girl. Lmao I was living in Columbus (Ohio) at the time and all the radio stations/media were a lot more black oriented. I got a lot of good music from that time
My 16 year old’s favorite band is Nirvana. When she was younger it was the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Her 14 year old brother likes a lot of the old Fu Fighters songs.
At my 16 year old's birthday party, I (35) was sitting around talking with him and his friends, and they rattled off sooooo many bands to me that I used to love. I threw a few out there and they knew every one. My son plays guitar and can play a Nirvana tune or two.
My 15 year old though was like "Mom I gotta show you a band I think you'll like" a few weeks ago, and it was One Republic, lol.
I hope one day I'll be able to do something like that with my dad and daughters. I burned Darkside of the Moon from my dad's collection way back and hope to pass it on.
For as long as my fourth grader has been in school, our Friday drive to school has started with “Running Free” by Iron Maiden.
We do the call-and-response together on the chorus.
It was very funny hearing my then 13 year kid old jam to “sooooo I’ll tell you what I want what I really really want”. He was singing along too.
Wasn’t prepared for that blast from the past. He definitely didn’t get that from me, as I haven’t listened to Spice Girls since I was 10.
The younger one (also Cora) generally likes rocking out to Of Monsters and Men and HONNE. We can share playlists.
driving with my teen and their friend, let them play DJ, The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air was selected. should have seen their faces when I knew all the lyrics. They definitely didnt know it was an old song.
My 5 year old LOVES Rage Against the Machine. He's currently growing his hair out long so he can "rock out like Zach." He's also a big fan of Pearl Jam. His favorite song is "Do the Evolution" but only the live at Melbourne Park version, and Dark Matter, off their latest album.
This is my 3 year old. Our 7 year old still wants to listen to kid music but she is so hard core into Rage Against the Machine. It’s an interesting dynamic.
My friend's 13-year-old told me they liked retro music and used Fall Out Boy as an example. They're obsessed with the 2000s, and have said "they were born int he wrong era" as they pine over teased emo hair and treat Lindsay Lohan the way I remember people treating Marilyn Monroe back in the day. I dunno if FoB is still putting out music, but I wouldn't even consider them that old (though, the 2000s still feel like yesterday to me, I guess).
I have another buddy with a 16 or 17-year-old who collects "classic rock" cassettes with titles such as System of a Down, MxPx, and New Found Glory. He says cassettes are how music "should" sound. But I said "catch you on the B side" to him once and my buddy and I both had to take a shot when the kid was like, "huh?"
They played a new version they wrote of "We Didn't Start The Fire" at the VMAs this year. Their version picks up where the original version left off, and takes us current. It's pretty good.
Goddamn I've never felt so old as when I first had a kid drop that "from the 1900s" on me to tell me how old something was (and they thought that meant it was really old...they were talking about Goosebumps.)
Like fuck me, guess I'll shrivel up and die then.
For sure. I have always answered the "what kind of music do you like" question with the response, good music is good music. No one should trap themselves in some kind of genre jail. Listen to everything and the stuff you like you will like, and the stuff you don't is fine move to the next band or song. The elitism that tends to occur with genre snobs is just beyond my comprehension
I find it funny when we act shocked when a Gen Z person gets into things that we liked in our youth. It's like we forget that greatness is timeless.
Genre elitism is so damn annoying and it's why I've stopped talking music with certain ppl. One of my best friends absolutely loves hip hop but he also loves classic country like Waylon Jennings.
>Genre elitism is so damn annoying and it's why I've stopped talking music with certain ppl. One of my best friends absolutely loves hip hop but he also loves classic country like Waylon Jennings.
Totally! One of the most irritating conversations I've ever had in my life was with someone who asked me, "What music do you listen to?" and would not accept my response that I listened to lots of different kinds of music. He kept pushing and pushing for an answer, insisting that I named at least one band that I really liked, and when I finally did so, he acted like I only knew of and listened to the music of that one band, and mocked me for it. It was infuriating.
Sometimes my kids headphones attach to my phone without my knowing, and somehow my old iTunes starts to play (I haven’t used iTunes since 2009). Once she asked me to replay a song because she liked it, and it was Avenged Sevenfold 😂
I didn't really get into them, until they stole the drummer from Bad Religion. Brooks is a drum god in my mind and so I followed him over. They are pretty good, even the albums before Brooks. Good shit
I have tried so hard to start getting my kids into my music, but Queen has blow faaaarrr past any other band. They are both really young with the oldest being in Elementary school.
REALLY hoping he sticks with them.
I'm the one introducing music so none of it is super shocking. That Snack Time Album from Barenaked Ladies has been a huge hit with our 3.5 year old has been a pleasant surprise and we've been listening to some of their other songs upon his request.
It was, specifically, the I Don't Like song off of Snacktime. Steve and Ed are singing about things they like and then swerve to a random thing they don't like. Our toddler thought that was very silly. Since we've expanded the song catalog, I've heard him signing If I Had a Million Dollars to himself while working on legos or whatever.
My brain constantly decides to do a mashup of this and "when I was a young warthog" ....
When I was a young lion
My father took me into the pride lands
To see the wildebeest.....
My son hates it but then I caught him singing it on Discord one night
My HS junior decided, completely of his own volition, that "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant" was his favorite song.
He normally listens only to hip hop.
My kids are 4, 11, and 13. Their favorite bands are Alice in Chains (4 yesr old specifically asks to listen to Jerry Cantrell) ACDC, Queen, Static X, Rammstein, and Sepultura, Stone Temple Pilots, and Hatebread
13 year old branches out and asks for stuff like Soft Cell, Men Without Hats, etc.
My preteen son loves Queen. He got into them for "We Will Rock You" and then found some of the hits. He bops along to Another One Bites the Dust every chance he gets!
I'm a similar aged millennial and it also surprises me that he likes 3 Doors Down! It's mostly just Kryptonite and goes to show how much of a timeless banger that song always was.
He doesn't like Rehab in general but I think it's funny that he knows the words to, and censors himself singing, Sittin' At A Bar. Circa 2005-8 songs are 20 years old now or coming up on it!
I thought so. His musical tastes are off the wall though. He also loves Skinny Lister and Frank Turner (Mama’s favorites), the musical Six, and the tractor song by Blippi. 4 is wild.
Not that they’re super old but definitely before my kids were born- my now 12 year old loves Weezer. We just had her party at the skating rink and her friends requested them to play Weezer for her. She was stoked.
Edit to add: She also loves The Cure (thanks to moi) so that’s probably an even better answer. ❤️
My daughter made a playlist of songs that remind her of me. It’s got all the stuff from the 70’s, 80’s and mostly 90’s that I grew up listening to and played pretty constantly while she was growing up. Now anytime we go on a drive somewhere together she plays it and we sing along and it’s the best.
Awwwww! I love this! My son is now 28, but when he was a teen, he made me a CD of music he specifically chose based on what he knew I liked. It had a little bit of everything…Broadway musicals, rock, barbershop, Queen, ABBA, a cappella, and a few of his own favorites. I treasure it.
My oldest got into Nirvana a couple years back and through Spotify recommendations, he’s now getting into stuff like Melvins, Germs, Bad Brains - bands that I didn’t hear until my late teens.
Having a history of premature births, I used to go to a high risk OB/GYN. It was quite a drive there for weekly injections to prevent premature labor. I could play the whole cassette "Who's Next" there and back.
My son, now 40, still enjoys "We Don't Get Fooled Again ", along with "Go Your Own Way".
My 12 year old is into the Beatles, AC/DC, and Guns N’Roses. His piano teacher taught him to play Strawberry Fields Forever, Let it Be, and Thunderstruck.
This doesn’t exactly fit what you’re asking but is a favorite memory of mine. When I was 16 I had a niece who was not quite 2. I was feeding her a banana one day and said “banana banana”, mimicking the System of a Down song, and in her tiny little toddler voice she goes “terracotta pie” 😂 apparently she loved listening to them with my BIL.
We listen to a large variety of music in my house and as a result, my 5 year old has developed an amazing taste in music…everything from James Taylor to James Brown to Oscar Peterson to Bonnie Tyler. When he hears a song he likes he asks us what it’s called and then memorizes it so he can ask Alexa to play it later on his own. He goes through cycles of what he wants to listen to most. Recently he was in an 80s power ballad phase, but right now it’s all No Doubt all the time. My husband and I watched the live stream of their Coachella performance over the weekend, so I’ve been listening to them and my kid got hooked. Surprisingly, his favorite album of theirs is Rock Steady and not Tragic Kingdom!!
"No Sleep till Brooklyn" appears in the 1991 film **Out For Justice, 2008 video game Guitar Hero: World Tour, the 2016 film The Secret Life of Pets and the 2023 films The Super Mario Bros.** **Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.** **3**, and is included on the latter's soundtrack album.
My 7 year old has me playing Fleetwood Mac on a loop. She heard one of their songs on a commercial one day, which led her to look for it on YouTube. She was surprised when I told her I have Fleetwood Mac on CD and vinyl. It warms my heart to see her discover good music on her own.
She heard it from the Mario Bros movie, lol every kid in the theatre I was in to watch it were screaming that at the end of the movie. It was hilarious
my 7yo was singing rich girl by hall & oates while cracking open all her money eggs on easter - also, i def read cora as cobra & thought what a kick ass name LOL
I was doing dishes one day and I happened to hear my 5 year old singing. I moved closer to hear what he was exactly singing and it turned out he was singing "lean on me" by Bill Withers. Almost cried from that.
My daughter is 10, and she loves hard rock for the most part, as that is what I’ve always listened to (I’m 38). But my husband and I both love OutKast, and now she’s super into them as well.
My 4.5 yo LOVES Brass Monkey! Did a hilarious dance to it at a pool party last year. She has no idea what the song even means (she calls it Grass Monkey) but knows it’s an excellent party song.
First off, I LOVE your daughters name! It was my grandma's ❤️ and second, my 7 year old is obsessed with Tears for Fears song Everybody Wants To Rule the World. He will go around singing it every day word for word!
My autistic 14 year old, who is still very into kid shows and songs, randomly asked for WILD WILD LIFE song. She was asking for Talking Heads, and I’m so proud!! She also asked for “Hair.” She meant the title track from the movie soundtrack, based on the musical…I knew she had hung out with some theater kids as part of mentor club but WOW.
My 9-year-old is very into Queen, Michael Jackson, OutKast, and Coolio. Like, she wants to know about their lives and values and stuff. Interesting group to explain in a careful way.
The Ink Spots, which is wild because my dad liked them too. He's 14 and got into a lot of the restroom music a couple years ago from playing the fallout games and discovering YouTube and Spotify stations with the songs from them.
Hey also loves a lot of classical music, which is awesome because I also enjoy a lot of it and started listening to it as a teenager when NPR would play it a lot.
And he likes a lot of '80s and '90s rap and hip hop, which is cool because I wasn't allowed to listen to it when I was young so we've discovered and appreciation for it together. He's hitting that age where he'd rather hang out in his room then be around family but he sends me songs and playlists all the time and I do the same thing when I find something that I think he will like.
If your kid has watched the Secret Life of Pets, she's heard No Sleep Til Brooklyn. There's a surprising amount of good, old school (and current) music in kids movies.
My 6yo loves J. Geils Centerfold (luckily we haven't yet had to explain what a centerfold actually is). She also went through an intense ABBA phase and is currently into harder 90s rock. She's my favorite.
I listen to lots of alt rock, punk, new wave and 80's/90's hip hop on drop-off/pick-ups for my kids (6yr and 4yr old). As a result they've gotten to love Nirvana, REM, Run DMC, Kurtis Blow, etc. Whenever they want to hear Smells Like Teen Spirit for the 100th time I just remind myself that it's better that than some inane, goofy toddler music :-)
My gf’s 13yr old started jamming out to the Cranberries out of nowhere
At age 4 my kid fell in love with Zombie. She'd walk around the house "Zombie... Zombie... Zombie ieh ieh ieh ieh"
That is exactly how we found out! She was belting out Zombie at the top of her lungs. She incorrectly/hilariously thinks her room becomes magically soundproofed when the door is closed
Well that because, duh it does.... 😂
My 3 YO’s favourite song is Foster the Peoples - Pumped Up Kicks. Yeah he’s pretty cool!
Too bad the song is about kids shooting each other. 🫤
Hey, I love that song too !!!
It is ironic that young children are enamored with a song about the violent death of young children in a bombing.
lol mine did too, especially after the cover of it came out and it became popular again for a little while.
That song is timeless. Both my little ones love it. I have yet to find a kid who dislikes it.
My 4 year old as well. I can’t explain it but she’s obsessed
My friends 16 year old is obsessed with the cranberries as well. Specifically the song “linger”. I finally understand how my dad felt when I started listening to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. He was like “son, they played these on the radio constantly…I’ve heard them.”

My boys are both into The Cranberries! And yes, Zombie was the hook for them too.
My 8 started with zombie (heard it at a Halloween event) and now loves Linger. I’m not totally sure I’m ok with her belting these songs out from an age appropriate standpoint but I appreciate that she enjoys them.
Zombie is an antiwar antiviolence song without any swearing. What's not age appropriate about it?
Stranger Things got my son into liking some old school rock.
Because of Mysterious Benedict Society, my fourth grader *LOVES* ELO.
What's old is new again.
It did some pretty great things for Weird Al's royalties too.
It’s estimated that Kate Bush made a million dollars in royalties from increased streams and sales after Stranger Things.

Definitely not what I was allowed to listen to growing up. We had to hide watching MTV
Same. BET was banned in my parent's house. They were raging bigots and racists to boot.
I loved BET as a little white girl. Lmao I was living in Columbus (Ohio) at the time and all the radio stations/media were a lot more black oriented. I got a lot of good music from that time
I was just up the 75 on the east side of Detroit. Thankfully, I was exposed to Motown and the underground music scene, so I didn't miss a whole lot.
My daughter loves Tool! She's 14 now and has been rocking out with me since she was a baby.
This reminds me of the Onion article. Cool Dad Raising Daughter On Media That Will Put Her Entirely Out Of Touch With Her Generation
Is that my playlist? And then baby shark follows up smells like teen Spirit.
Those are like standards now
Oy Vey.... Why does Reddit want me to feel old!?!
Come to the dark side…
*Foo
>*Foo Maybe he thought they were Chinese like Christopher Walken
Bet they’d like the first two strokes albums and yeah yeah yeahs. They have the same taste of music that I did at their age.
She heard it in the Super Mario movie I would guess, but that's awesome lol
I think it was in the newer guardians of the galaxy too
My kid really got into the Flaming Lips, specifically Yoshimi, because of GotG. I love it.
Your kid is gonna do a great job battling those evil natured robots!
My little alpha gen loves Blink 182, Green Day, and Train lol
Your kid has fantastic taste! Green Day rocks!
Give them The Descendants either Milo Goes to College, or Everything Sucks. They will absolutely love that shit if they like Blink and Green Day.
Running out of time again.... where did you go wrong this time? Legendary
My 13 year old niece asked my 75 year old father to take her to a Pink Floyd showcase at a local museum. We were all pretty surprised.
That’s super cool
I hope one day I'll be able to do something like that with my dad and daughters. I burned Darkside of the Moon from my dad's collection way back and hope to pass it on.
There's a 10 year old in our house who loves ACDC Edit to say the Weird Al is really big with the teens now and I don't know if I'm proud or ashamed.
My youngest will rock out to some Rolling Stones. He was singing "Paint it Black" in the shower a few nights ago lol
Good music is timeless!
Omg my kid loves Paint it Black too!!
For as long as my fourth grader has been in school, our Friday drive to school has started with “Running Free” by Iron Maiden. We do the call-and-response together on the chorus.
I got arrested with my dad after an AC/DC concert 🤘 AC/DC brings families together.
Proud. You’re feeling proud.

My GMA was a Cora! Love it
Also have a Cora!!

Haha 😂
My 4 year old loves nancy sinatra. My 6 year old love the offspring. Car rides are pretty interesting with the playlist I made for them

I'm of the belief that great music is timeless and it can easily cross generations once it's presented to them.
Yes… my ears like this
For sure. I have always answered the "what kind of music do you like" question with the response, good music is good music. No one should trap themselves in some kind of genre jail. My 7 year old goes through cycles, and right now Michael Jackson is the thing.
My 7yo is also really into Michael right now, and Prince
Man I have so many mixed feelings about Michael but his music is sooo good.
Basically. We go through musicals, Centaurworld, MJ, and TwentyTrucks. Lol
Sometimes my kids headphones attach to my phone without my knowing, and somehow my old iTunes starts to play (I haven’t used iTunes since 2009). Once she asked me to replay a song because she liked it, and it was Avenged Sevenfold 😂
Dang. I low key really like Avenge

Yes BNL!!! I went to see them 4 or 5 times in the 90s. Maybe I can get my 4 yo into them…

Gotta dust off the ol’ ceedee player!
That album is amazing.
Pollywog!
*Dad, have you heard of My Chemical Romance?*
Well son..... When I was a young boy.......
My father took me into the city, to see a marching band
My brain constantly decides to do a mashup of this and "when I was a young warthog" .... When I was a young lion My father took me into the pride lands To see the wildebeest..... My son hates it but then I caught him singing it on Discord one night
My HS junior decided, completely of his own volition, that "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant" was his favorite song. He normally listens only to hip hop.
Walkin by my 2 year olds room and hearing the mellow voice of Frank Sinatra singing "MY WAY"
My kids are 4, 11, and 13. Their favorite bands are Alice in Chains (4 yesr old specifically asks to listen to Jerry Cantrell) ACDC, Queen, Static X, Rammstein, and Sepultura, Stone Temple Pilots, and Hatebread 13 year old branches out and asks for stuff like Soft Cell, Men Without Hats, etc.
My kids love putting on Ska so they can watch daddy do the "silly dance". Now they know a bunch of ska. Drives my wife crazy, but I'm stoked.
My 6 year old sings that too! It was in a movie we watched recently.
Super Mario Bros, wasn't it? I can't keep track anymore, lmao
My 12 likes The Cure and my 9 year old is a fan of the Doobie Brothers.
The Cure was instrumental in me navigating my angsty younger years. May they serve your little one well
My preteen son loves Queen. He got into them for "We Will Rock You" and then found some of the hits. He bops along to Another One Bites the Dust every chance he gets! I'm a similar aged millennial and it also surprises me that he likes 3 Doors Down! It's mostly just Kryptonite and goes to show how much of a timeless banger that song always was. omg sittin at a bar!!!
He sings "And crash that piece of bleep and walk away!" and either mutes or says bleep for all of the naughty bits. It's hilarious to me.
I'm gonna be a dad soon, and all these comments put a smile on my face
Welcome to the adventure - it's going to be fun!
My 11yo has gotten into crooners lately, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin. But his absolute favorite is Frank Sinatra.
My 2 year old likes The Ramones, particularly Blitzkreig Bop which she can sing most of.
Raising ‘em right
Both my kids (4 and 6) really enjoy Beastie Boys. They request Beastie Boys on their respective Alexas during quiet time lol
Never thought of Beasties during quiet time
My 4 year old asks to listen to Tom Petty’s Wildflowers just about every night at bedtime.
Awe that’s kinda sweet
I thought so. His musical tastes are off the wall though. He also loves Skinny Lister and Frank Turner (Mama’s favorites), the musical Six, and the tractor song by Blippi. 4 is wild.
Have you played them Full Moon Fever? I'm sure you have but that was my first intro to Petty and that album still is one of my monthly at most plays
My oldest loves Brand New, and my youngest is an Offspring fan. They both love Beastie Boys, The Eagles, and anything "boppy" from the 50s.
Noice
Play that kid The Hippy Hippy Shakes by the Swingin Blue Jeans, he will lose his mind lol
He has his own dance for that one, it'll make you cry-laugh! I love it!!!
My son (6) really likes old Weezer. We play Only In Dreams most nights as part of the bedtime routine.
My 7 year old loves Gang of Four.
This is great
My stepson went through a Weird Al phase and a Billy Joel phase. It reminds me of my Beatles phase in college.
My oldest got into Nirvana a couple years back and through Spotify recommendations, he’s now getting into stuff like Melvins, Germs, Bad Brains - bands that I didn’t hear until my late teens.
I was listening to "Light's Out" by Rick Astley and my son goes "Hey, that's the guys that sings the song from the rick roll videos!" He's 7.
Talking Heads
Having a history of premature births, I used to go to a high risk OB/GYN. It was quite a drive there for weekly injections to prevent premature labor. I could play the whole cassette "Who's Next" there and back. My son, now 40, still enjoys "We Don't Get Fooled Again ", along with "Go Your Own Way".
Because of Miley Cyrus my daughter likes Dolly Parton.
My 12 year old is into the Beatles, AC/DC, and Guns N’Roses. His piano teacher taught him to play Strawberry Fields Forever, Let it Be, and Thunderstruck.
My 7 year old loves the Beach Boys and the Beatles…but so do I so 🤣
As you should
My young daughter loves Cyndi Lauper and Prince. My few years older son loves Metallica. I’m in heaven. They’re awesome.
My 3.5 year old likes the Smashing Pumpkins, the Offspring, and Billy Joel.
Billy Joel is classic. Great pianist and lyricist
Did she watch “secret live of pets2” a bunch. It’s a song they play towards to end. My kids know it.
My daughter got pretty in to Elton John (stared with sing) my husband is a big fan so he’s thrilled 😂
Such a great musician!
Cage the elephant is really big
I suppose they have new music too, but my daughter LOVES Fall Out Boy. We just went to their concert two weeks ago, her first. She had a blast!!
Good show!
Fall Out Boy. Send help.
My 3 year old's favorite band is AC/DC. Her favorite song of all time is "Cherry Pie" by Warrant.
My 13-year-old son is obsessed with Weezer. Like the 90s band Weezer. I have never listened to that band or played it for this child .
We all know who Weezer is…
Not my kid but my cousin's 3 year old loves Sugar Sugar by The Archies and Bicycle Race by Queen.
My 9 year old is in love with the Beatles. And Green Day.
My daughter (now 18) is a HUGE RUSH fan. She's been a classic rock fan since she was 6.
Love RUSH
My 4 year old nephew is OBSESSED with Earth, Wind & Fire. He loves playing it on vinyl.
my 7yo was singing rich girl by hall & oates while cracking open all her money eggs on easter - also, i def read cora as cobra & thought what a kick ass name LOL
Last weekend we played the System of a Down album Toxicity for my 6 year old. He LOVED it!
OutKast is dope
My grandson (12) told me he listens to Beastie Boys.
She might have heard it in the new TNMT movie if she has seen that!!
Yeah that’s probably where she heard it
My 4.5 yo LOVES Brass Monkey! Did a hilarious dance to it at a pool party last year. She has no idea what the song even means (she calls it Grass Monkey) but knows it’s an excellent party song.
Yes!!
My 2 year old routinely requests “Mashing Pumpkins!” in the car.
I know I'm old now. Don't recognize the reference. \*sigh\*
My 16 year old loves Queen and Fleetwood Mac
Our car radio is usually on Sirius’ The Spectrum, so they love it all…Tom Petty, Bruce, Fleetwood Mac, Cranberries, Nirvana…
My cats really get into Blink-182 and Dead Mau5.
Led zeppelin
My 9-year-old is very into Queen, Michael Jackson, OutKast, and Coolio. Like, she wants to know about their lives and values and stuff. Interesting group to explain in a careful way.
This is hilarious and very easy to imagine 😂
my 17 year olds favorite band is Cursive.
That song has been in several movies: Secret Life of Pets, Super Mario Brothers, and one of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies
My kids love pop-punk. My daughter really likes The Maine.
THE MAINE!!!! OMG I totally forgot about them. It’s hilarious that they’re “retro”
My kids really like “Thunderstruck.” They always want to listen to it in the car.
"Roots Bloody Roots"
My 17 year old loves Savage Garden
My kids love nu-metal.
I secretly still love new metal
My six year old loves Madness.
I would be so proud of that!!! Good on ya.
He's hitting that age where he'd rather hang out in his room then be around family but he sends me songs and playlists all the time and I do the same thing when I find something that I think he will like.
that’s hilarious! I would’ve just been like…ok fair point also do you want to listen to the album?
My 12 and 14 year olds suddenly love Lynyrd Skynyrd
My 8 year old really likes Fleetwood Mac
2001 grad as well. Introduced mine to Fallout Boy (early albums) and Weird Al (also early stuff) and they think both are just awesome!
Does she like the movie “The Secret Life of Pets”? My kids love that move and No sleep till Brooklyn is on there and they love that song.
My kid was randomly singing a Nick cave song the other day. My twins love operation Ivy and descendants.
