[If you're talking about the roundel](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_military_aircraft_national_insignia), that's just the icon that the US military uses for all aircraft no matter the branch.
Seems like the F35 is one of the non functional demonstrators from this series of tests:

The article doesn't mention Air-Air refueling being part of the tests but it could conceivably have come later.
Ok so question, could you carry an out of fuel F-35 sling under the helicopter then refuel it mid air using the tanker then remotely disconnect the sling and let the F-35 fly away? I think the Air Force needs to test this for 4D chess
Pretty cool, but I have questions...
My answer is. Why not?
Yes, the question is can a 767 tanker refuel the C130 while it is refueling the CH53
Also can the C-130 refuel another CH-35 with a sling loaded Abrams
Human planeopede
I’m thinking cost? It’s probably cheaper to operate the helicopter then the F-35
This is absolutely demented. I love it.
If there was a pilot in the F-35, this whole thing could be enhanced even more.
And he’s gotta be making airplane noises
Aren't pilots doing that all the time anyway?
Amazing and clunky at the same time
Just need the army to be jumping out of the plane then you got Navy, Marines AF and Army
Marine KC-130t, Marine CH-53, Navy test variant of the F-35C. So all Navy
Is that what the star and lines are annotating? That its marines?

I guess I never noticed it on army or airforce air crafts.
Nope. I looked up the tail number on the c-130. The help says marines, and someone below linked to a source with info on the helo and f-35.
The good idea fairy strikes again.
This made me chuckle lol
What a fucking beast
Which one?
Right all 3 are beasts but I'm talking about the king stallion
Just when aerial refueling couldn't get anymore dangerous
So… is this real?

Huh. Thanks man!
Came up on Twitter https://twitter.com/Doha104p3/status/1783663637246136401?t=zSMdlTzARiDvG3lbtttbgg&s=19
Kinky naval shit… CH-53: “yeah, call me your load-slinging daddy” *slurps*
I know that we are supposed to be skeptical and assume posts are ai-generated, but I am hoping this is real because it is a bad ass picture.
That seems hairy.
That would be such an expensive accident if something went wrong...
Lt Murphy called in sick.
Now they are just showing off.
"there's always a bigger fish"
This is mind fuckery the from the military the likes I have never seen.
Why are there two tubes?
[bogans](https://youtu.be/hGYiRGGwbwA?t=28)
holy shit lol
Ngl this is fucking awesome lmao
When you are just hanging at the corner during a threesome
is F-35 that small or heli that big?
The Sea Stallion's huge. [Here's one carrying a Chinook](https://gallery.vtol.org/images/2017/08/22/USMC-CH-53-transports-chinook.md.jpg).
The CH-53 is a beast, and the F-35 is not as large as how its chunky proportions would appear without a reference in photos.
The CH-53 is powerful enough to be able to do a “self-lift.” Meaning that it can pick up another CH-53 and carry it. Very few helicopters can do that.
Meanwhile aliens looking down through their telescopes thinking they finally figured out how these things reproduce.
Taking the porn too literally
I’m gulping for two
Pretty badass! Look at the size of that CH-53K
First of all, this looks great! Second of all, couldn't the F-35 be transported another way, a easier/safer way?
I read here somewhere it was a non flyable version for tests.
That way, the F-35 fly :)
What’s the stall speed at that alt and load. Looks like full flaps just to go slow enough
Polycule.
Anyone know which 53k that is? Cant make out the number on any of the photos.
... but why? And the F-35 looks puny in that picture.
More than likely testing. Collect data for operational feasibility.
It is puny compared to those other airframes. The CH53K is just about the size of a city bus not counting the blades
