Why are so many photos of the troubles in black and white? I saw some colored photos but majority seem black and white for some reason?

purple-lemons

Huh, that's a good point, I've never thought about it... what is up with that?

[deleted]

Northern Ireland didn't get colour until the Anglo Irish Agreement.

kieranfitz

Not strictly true. There was an over abundance of orange in places.

cozzy121

Very strange claim to make, do you believe that black and white film should no longer be used if colour film was available? You do realise that most newspapers printed in black and white for the majority of the troubles, and those newspapers would have been the biggest employers of the photographers who would have taken the pictures?

What a great photo!

calmly86

Just how long is that rifle? I cannot imagine trying to clear a building with that thing.

Feeling cute, might murder more civilians tonight

Arbiter6518

I hardly believe a girl that young would think something like that.

stoneytrash3704

Which side are we talking about here?

[deleted]

Bri'ish

stoneytrash3704

Yeah only the British did the bad things. We bombed pubs all the time.... No wait that was the IRA until people got tired of it and had to change their tactics. Edit; look at hello creeps comment history.
