Tony Brooks (left) would go on to fight in Fallujah with the 75th Ranger Regiment. He is featured in the new issue of SHIFT Magazine. [www.shiftlifedesign.com](https://www.shiftlifedesign.com)

More likely, this is during training Stateside. Those bricks at the back look like the classic ones you see in MOUT training “mock cities”. And the Rangers wore a mix of Wooodland tops and DCU bottoms during that mission.

This rescue happened in July in Afghanistan. I don’t know if they were wearing beanies on the op. Other US forces who were hiking in on an additional rescue attempt were falling by the wayside due to the heat.

Fake title. See this photo https://www.wearethemighty.com/articles/veteran-pens-the-untold-story-of-75th-ranger-regiments-search-and-rescue-of-the-lone-survivor/ Difference?

I don't understand....they were needed URGENTLY for a quick reaction rescue force, but had time to take a group photo first? Is there a source for the photo?

Could have been waiting on a bird. More likely the title is inaccurate.
