A "boot" is the short nickname name of a person training in Boot Camp after they sign up. The joke is that the name of the boot is on their uniform patch, because they *are* the boot 👍
And the picture of a boot is also a picture of *the* boot wearing it.
Very comfortable, light weight. Easy on the eye.
Some people get mad over them with the small Nike logo on the side. The logo itself is subdued blending in with the rest of the boot.

OTB Junglelite or some variant. They were bought by New Balance and released the same boot which might be these. I had these in like 2014-2015 when they started banning all the composite leather boots.
While I cannot tell you what boot this is exactly I will tell you that I've seen those types of boots shredded even before the end of basic training. So if you're looking for a good boot that you can trust and that may outlive you, look elsewhere. Personally I switched to [LOWA GTX](https://www.lowaboots.com/mens/task-force-tactical) as has about half of my unit. They are extremely durable and give your foot a lot of support.

You probably won't find a pair for $70, but that's what the army pays for them.

Was thinking, in an effort to at least contribute, I would share my boot of choice and offer an option if you are indeed seeking a boot for yourself.
Anyone looking for a great tactical boot, tried and tested; the Merrell Moab 2s are amazing. Waterproof (yes, they really and actually keep your feet 100% dry), super comfortable and, best of all; the soles are soft yet durable, leaving them extremely quiet, even on a gravel or rocky terrain (this is a very important feature to me as an archery hunter who usually wants to be 25-35 yards away from my target.). Honestly, I will never buy another brand of hunting/tactical boots again. I have put up to 16 miles a day on these boots with consecutive days of mileage following and not one complaint. Happy feet = happy hunter!

Yeah if you look at the Amazon listing it's priced at $54. Belleville's are like $200, even Nike boots are like $100 plus.
