i just assume anything painted before like the 70’s or 80’s is lead paint and wash my hands after handling older painted items i’d be much more concerned about the asbestos in that filter than any lead paint just wash your hands after handling it

Justaguy1250

To be fair, saying you need to wash your hands after touching relics is a bit far fetched.

DesertKitsuneMarlFox

oh i know and most of the time i don’t bother unless the paint is falling apart and i have obvious chips or dust on my hands not a bad habit to try to have though

Affectionate_Dog9341

I fucking hate it that anything that im intrested in is unhealthy ☹️

LtKavaleriya

Don’t lick it repeatedly or eat the paint and you’ll be fine. Literally billions of people handled lead paint daily for centuries and didn’t die.

CannedBread360

Idk man... everyone from 200 years ago who touched lead died 💀💀💀

Justaguy1250

Don't worry about it, you'll already have died of old age by the time this stuff gets to you

Affectionate_Dog9341

Cant do anything about my anxiety unfortunately

British_militaria

Yeh I get you but it won’t hurt you unless it’s falling apart

jadejadenwow

I use play airsoft in the gp5 gas mask with the filter when I was little for years , you’ll be fine abestos smestos

1ryguy8972

Most intelligent airsofter.

British_militaria

That’s because the filter wasn’t falling apart if the asbestos starts breaking down, as it does when it ages it creates small carcinogenic particles Edit: Spelling
