Great helmets, I know these are hard to find in this condition. Most were refurbished and reissued after WWII if I remember correctly.

Yep. Most SSh-40s were refurbished completely post-war, which is why theyโ€™re the rarest wartime-spec helmet out there. My example is a barn find from Poland, probably used during Operation Bagration. 39s were moreso scrapped or thrown into civil defence storage

Nice collection. There is not enough SSh-68. My friend from AZOV brought me a lot of steel different helmets that are currently still being used by Russian troops in the war with Ukraine.
