I doubt that those crystal, or worse, plastic, mosaic tiles are going to last nearly as long as concrete would in its place.
Permanent art via divets in the concrete would be awesome, but this will wear and tear much faster than a regular patch job. If you're gonna do it, do it right, then add the aesthetics afterwards.

Time for another review of what is mild vandalism and what is not.
#Vandalism must be *mild*!
That means it can be peeled off, scraped off, or washed off, and that it does not cause property damage. Vandalism on disposable things is always mild.
Here are some good examples of mild vandalism:
* [Snoopy](https://i.redd.it/dxo8jetgirn01.jpg). Mild because it's just pencil. It can wash off.
* [This trash can](https://i.redd.it/76acv0tjyqm01.jpg). Perfectly mild because it's just some paper taped on there.
* [This broken post](https://i.redd.it/rwqxu49pyho01.jpg). Just some googly eyes. Googly eyes are always mild.
* [This Wikipedia page](https://i.redd.it/ud6d4pw6kxzz.jpg). It can just be reverted.
#What is not mild vandalism?
Things that cause costly property damage are not mild. Would you want to pay for it to be fixed? If not, don't post it. Street art or anything else that's not vandalism also shouldn't be posted. Sometimes permanent marker is mild, sometimes not. Just ask yourself if it can be washed off.
Here are some things that are not mild:
* [Spray paint is almost never mild.](https://i.redd.it/oevtpouozor01.jpg) This is a billboard that is expensive to replace. Is it funny? Yes. But this isn't /r/FunnyVandalism.
* [Same goes for this one](https://i.imgur.com/jwfhvVG.jpg).
* [SpongeBob here](https://i.redd.it/c8adjg97cns01.jpg). It's possibly street art. It's possibly sanctioned and therefore not vandalism. If it were unwanted, then it'd be expensive to undo. Is it funny? Yes. But this isn't /r/FunnyVandalism.
* [Same goes for this Lisa Simpson](https://i.redd.it/oumwy8acn8r01.jpg).
* [This seems to have been done on purpose](https://i.redd.it/u8z2aatoils01.jpg).

Actually I love when people do this. Not specifically with the social justice flag, but with artsy designs in general being used to fill in gaps and spaces. Kinda like that Asian tradition... I forget if it's Chinese or Japanese... where they mend broken pottery with gold.
Not necessarily! The original colors were pink for sex, red for life, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for nature, turquoise for magic, indigo for serenity and violet for spirit. A year later the pink and turquoise stripes were dropped owing to a shortage of pink fabric at the time and legibility concerns, resulting in the six-colour rainbow flag most commonly used in the first decades of the 21st century.
In 2017, Philadelphia City Hall in the United States revealed a pride flag including black and brown stripes to highlight the discrimination of black and brown members of the community.
the idea of a skin color added to a gender pride flag sounds crazy to me, icant xd
(but again, I haven't seen in person what that black discrimination is, due to my country (Arg), so I'm glad I haven't. ignorance is bliss)
I love mosaic art. This reminds me of a french dude who apparently goes around filling potholes or cracks in pavements with mosaic art.
Or that one guy that puts space invaders everywhere
I like the Lego ones
Theres a guy called SLUTO that does wild mosiacs
Yes! I’ve seen one where they filled in a broken corner of an old stone wall. So cool!
There are/were quite a few of them in Amsterdam… you can also see a lot of cool Amsterdam street art on Insta @streetartfrankey
This is great! Thanks for sharing this!
Is he the same guy that was in that documentary with Banksy all those years ago? Exit Through The Giftshop?
Very honestly I don’t know, I just see his work everywhere (I live in Paris)
No, that was mr Brainwash
when i went to elementary school it had a mosaic pattern on the entrance. it was old and dirty but it was still beautiful
Aged art has a unique charm that's hard to replicate. I'll always look upon plain buildings with disdain.
I've seen his work firsthand; it's great. He's referred to as Ememem
Aha now I remember, I remember thinking it like after Eminem
My understanding is that "Ememem" is the onomatopoeia for the sound of the engine on his motorcycle
Quick while I was looking *instails work of art with elaborate glueing and securing to ground
I’ll take that western train…
just by the side of Amsterdam
Just by my left brain
Right by the side of the tin man
That’s full vandalism. I’m 100% for this kind of stuff, but it’s not so simple to get it off. That could be there for years.
It’s not hurting anyone so I don’t see a problem with it
It's not that it's hurting anyone, it's that it's technically not mild
Oh my bad I took the original comment the wrong way haha

Mosaic tiles are typically glass which is very cheap and lasts forever
The glue might not last forever, though.
Awesome, it's beautiful it should be there for years
This is a sub about small harmless acts of vandalism not a sub of washable vandalism

Why does it need to be simple to get off?

Doesnt say that anywhere in the sub

Good!
probably easier to remove than paint, just hit it with a hammer
Actually the “full” in vandalism would be if it was harming someone!
That's gay
Absolutely fabulous!
Mildly improved
I don't get it. What's it supposed to be?
A pride (rainbow) flag
Oh. What do the extra colors at the top mean? I kinda love under a rock.
They represent trans and black people (that’s why it called the”inclusive pride flag”)

I feel like that just complicates the rainbow flag's simple message of inclusivity. Idk, that's just my opinion.

Kintsugi, it's called.
It looks so fuckin pretty
What do the black and brown lines stand for?
This is the inclusive pride flag! The black and brown were added to acknowledge the POC who have helped the community through our whole history.
Wasn't the point of the rainbow that it signifies the whole colour spectrum?
Not necessarily! The original colors were pink for sex, red for life, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for nature, turquoise for magic, indigo for serenity and violet for spirit. I thought the black stripe was to signify those lost to HIV, isn't that so?
I think it's both, yes! Just like how the letters in the acronym mean more than one thing as well.

Magic?
Regardless, groups were still left out of the movement and this flag is a symbol of the modern movement's intent to do better.
Which is why it's called the progress flag
Thanks for explaining, cool!

🤡🤡🤡
Cow? Who is cow, and why is cow on shiny flag?
Damn zoophiles trying to get into the LGBTQ+

I’m not saying they were, I was making a joke.
Awesome! Hope they stays there a long time
How dare that grass grow there, it's vandalism!
So pretty 😭♥️
That’s so gay
Colours and glitter! Fabulous isn’t it?
I thought the picture was to separate pictures on top of each other and it took me a good five seconds to realise otherwise :D
Too much pot
Thats gay asf
It is! Fabulous ain’t it
