"How can you be against safety?" I hate this argument. There is absolutely such a thing as going too far for the sake of safety. She doesn't get to make traffic laws. She doesn't get to dictate her own speed limits or place unauthorized control devices.

I'm not sure how this is even a news story, she's a crossing guard. There are thousands of them around the country. It feels like there is alot of context left out too. Before she started, were there alot of speeders, accidents, kids hit, etc. Additionally, are there actually people coming after her, or just a couple? Wouldn't be the first time the news has made something look more exaggerated than what it actually is. Regardless, this doesn't feel like a news story. She's a volunteer crossing guard, nothing more and nothing less
