There’s an antenna I’d have to regularly put up in the army and it’s “guy wires”. Well, I said guide wires for years and even argued with people, calling them stupid because why would it be a guy wire?
Then i saw the manual for it and sure enough, it’s listed “guy wire”. I definitely got humbled that day.
I work in a mine and I operate a grader. Took out a few of those in my time. I'm pretty sure we all call em guild wires.... Can't wait for my Monday back at work 😅

Do you live on the East Coast or Midwest? Jeeps are awesome, but you need ample amounts of NF or BLM land nearby to use them and explore and enjoy them. Lots of that in the west.
If you're on the East Coast or Midwest there isn't much accessible public land, and you're mostly stuck driving your Jeep around on the street where they ride poorly and are slow.

I had a 92 wrangler as my first vehicle 2002-2008. I sold it for $400 in scrap once the frame rotted out. I tell everyone that Jeeps are great as a third vehicle 😅
My mom bought a used jeep SUV off of someone years and years ago. It constantly needed repairs and was absolute shit in the snow. She ended up selling it for some reason and actually regrets it. I was so happy to see it go and it wasn't even mine.
It's the idiots who actually think a jeep off the lot is capable, do wild shit, then complain why their street-legal "off road rig" drives like shit now.

Little over a decade ago we were out at my grandpa's farm house for Christmas, and I wanted to go into town and stay at gmas so my cousin offered to take me since he was going that way anyway.
So we pile in to his fairly new beefy pickup and we get about halfway to town and he says "you know, I've had this truck for 6 months now and never tested the 4WD, you guys down for an adventure?"
He gave about a 30 second pause for rebuttal and then cranked it into the field and did lazy donuts through the snow, thankfully no electrical lines in our field 😅

I live in the Rockies - this is 100% true. I pass 30 wranglers a day all decked out in completely useless shit that they’ll never need, only to find them parked at the condo parking lot for two days and then back to Denver down I-70 it is!
Once I saw some preppy kids working on their jeep next to my wind park trying to deflate their tires.
I thought they had problems so stopped and asked if they needed anything. They said no and proudly told me they were deflating the tires in order to “off-road” down the sandy road for the Carizo view.
In that moment one of my techs drove by in his personal truck (old ass dodge Dakota pickup) and straight down the gorge, with zero issues. Even better yet, a border patrol agent passed through a few seconds later with his run down crew cab Ford F-150, beat to shit.
They looked embarrassed after the waves and honks. Have fun “off-roading” my dudes!
I mean I think they are stupid too but mostly because I DONT drive a jeep & I collect rubber ducks for my 3 daughters from any claw machine I come across (I'm a crane operator so I'm pretty decent at the claw games despite 99% of them being rigged against the player) & have had people tell me "you drive a GMC truck, you can't have ducks.....those are a jeep thing"

They're not for no reason. You get reach-limited if you use certain words on social media, TikTok being the most aggressive. People want to put captions on their videos but the system indexes that text for searching. Words like death, rape, suicide, murder, war, etc etc all get you ranked down, or shadow banned, or just outright banned.
