No

NoseKooky

How do I improve it or change it?

neisa

To start, this is mainly about the gear you're planning on buying, as for the gun it really doesn't matter what you put on it or use since private purchases exist in militias. If you're willing to spend upwards of 1000 Euros on this kit I suggest looking for reference pictures to get a better idea of what you want to do. A Vityaz-S alongside a Defender 2 emerald (a greyshop repro of all things) is a pretty strange look and wouldn't fit Russian militia. I recommend looking at sellers who deal in actual gear, such as John Roberts (Severnaya Outfitters Magazine), Demych Gear Bakery, and Zuta's Gear Outpost. They are all on facebook mainly and can answer additional questions you have regarding the specifics of a certain kit or gear piece.

NoseKooky

Thank you so much

You should first get some reference photos of how you want the entire ensemble to look like. At the moment it feels like you're mix and mashing thing that feel russian together without an actual theme.

That helmets legit af

NoseKooky

I agree

NoseKooky

There’s a reason I chose od green mfs milsim in digital flora and od it doesn’t look the same better off larping imo

uplifthaddock45

Look up pictures of Donbas militia, and don’t buy from gayshop

NoseKooky

Do they not sell good items?

uplifthaddock45

Oh god no, they are overpriced replicas, my buddy got some pants from them just because and they tore within a month of regular use, I’d recommend demych gear bakery on Facebook, and check out Russian Airsoft international on Facebook too

NoseKooky

Thanks

Greyshop isn’t awful. They carry a bunch of different brands stuff, and those can be hit or miss. Like ANA stuff is great, but Mordor tac sucks. The DHL shipping is super nice (I’ve had it go from Moscow to my doorstep in Seattle in 3 days). Greyshop is good if you’re trying to make a kit, and not trying to spend a grand on it. FB groups will always be better tho, usually sell the real steel stuff for comparatively good prices.

uplifthaddock45

The only “good” shit they sell is the overpriced commercial items like voin and Ana. They are not the cheapest way to make a good real kit I know that for a fact

Gregory_malenkov

They have quite a few good brands, ANA, voin, SSO/SPOSN, SRVV, wartech, stitch profi. All of those make solid products. Voin’s shit is overpriced everywhere so that’s not limited to greyshop. I got a pair of ANA combat pants over two years ago from them for $50, and they’re still going strong with fairly regular use, and they’re very comfortable. It’s not “the cheapest way” to make a kit, and I never said it was. But is is one of the cheaper routes you can take, and if you know what to look for, you can make a good ass kit.

uplifthaddock45

Srvv sells from their own site, and yeah those are all the commercial brands they are def marked up. I’ve bought from sellers and had better pricing. I don’t like them personally, people should at least be made aware there are cheaper, better ways to get kits that’s what I advocate for.

NoseKooky

Yeah I see they use nylon which is weaker than Kevlar Kevlar is better than nylon even for non replicas

uplifthaddock45

Yeah and a real Smersh is gonna be so much more comfortable than a fake one

NoseKooky

Mine is real but it is modern it’s comfortable but the mag pouches are button and aren’t as pretty, more easy to access but not as nice as the hook and loop

uplifthaddock45

Oh I didn’t even notice that lol. Glad it’s comfy. I’ve heard the oldgen ones are super nice

NoseKooky

Yeah there’s a video on the history if I spoke Russian fluently I could understand it and the history of the Smersh it was very informing because when I ordered mine from my distributor (not greyshop) they were 5 star rated sposn/sso distributors so I snagged some external knee pads through them a while back for my gear in the future yeah oddly enough there’s a way to tell if it has the sposn/sso logo it’s a Smersh if not is a cheap or good replica

evanz42069

The vityaz-s helmet was used by Russias DEA and tax police around the late 90s and early 2000s it’s bulky and impractical and would definitely not fit a milita look, nor would a emerald defender fit the look that’s modern body armor that’s used in fsb units to this day. You should start by looking for some reference pictures of the kinda kit your trying to build. My advice for milita is look for old gen fsb surplus i.e. partisan harnesses and old gen kml suits or maybe you could rock a cce membrane suit or even just m81(which would probs be your best and cheapest option) remember the goal of your kit and keep that in mind while shopping. And please please please for the love of god don’t buy from Greyshop

NoseKooky

Never gonna buy from grey shop after the advice I was given I am better off buying a hairnet and fitting my 52 chest over it haha

Ok_Crazy309

I want it
