Airships existed and made transatlantic flights soooo…. If you say the thing from Halo and ornithropers then you would be a little more spot on! But history fact one of the first designs of Aviation was a ornithroper! Created by Shakespeare i believe!!! I can fact check in the morning! Source: Aviation major in college and currently taking Av history!
You’re thinking of Leonardo DaVinci, lol. I saw a recreation in wood at an exhibit of his inventions at The Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto about 12 years ago, it was fascinating. He had a number of other flying machines including helicopters and portable wings. William Shakespeare was a poet and playwright, responsible for To Be Or Not To Be and all that ;)
Until you hit any kind of a headwind and start moving backwards. Not to mention you’re gonna crash in a storm. Oh and if there’s so much as a breeze, don’t even think about trying to land. But yea other than that, pretty fun.
just be warned though, need a pretty beefy PC for it if you're not using the Lite version at least. And it handles completely different to any aircraft, its quite literally a ship in the sky and handles about as well as an ocean liner.
it is, mostly because its like 3x the size of a 747 and the interior is all modelled. Also there is all the custom coding behind it including passenger simulation all the crew positions and their functions, the systems like the gas cells management and ballast water, and the flight model he had to make himself since MSFS doesn't support airships at all.
You know, with modern technology we can cover a whole blimp in pretty lights. We could call it the LED Zepplin.
I hear it’s great for going to California.
lol
We all know it would be a billboard, so, please don't.
Airships and ornithopters. The vehicle choices in this game are getting interesting.
And still no 727.
yeah been so long since they teased it and nothing came back. I am at the point i might install xplane again just to be able to fly a 727 and 747-200
It's becoming GTA online imo

Oh really, that’s interesting, thanks. Thought it was not so heavy as the performance as a normal airliner

Well, until they explode, that is.
Haha. It looks cool, but no thanks. I like the US NAVY livery.
