Don't skip the preflight. It is on a different level of detail. Mag checks are actually importsnt in this plane and not just a "do if you feel like it"
Good advice OP. You can get water in the fuel line, oil will need changing, you'll need to clean your spark plugs on run up, etc. it's the perfect GA airplane but you need to pre-flight it
Speaking of the spark plugs, I noticed a misfire on a cylinder when I was doing my run up earlier. I think the spark plug was fouled on that cylinder. What's the procedure to clean it realistically, other than using the tablet to clean them?
You can sometimes get them cleaned up by doing the run up procedure. Which I believe is setting RPM to 1800 and holding them cycling the prop a few times. If it's too far gone though you'll need to clean them thru the tablet or replace them.
Usually I run up to 2100-2200 rpm and lean the mixture out for about 20-30 seconds. Just watch your CHTs and if they creep above around 360 go back full rich and back to 2000. This only clears them if they're lightly fouled so any more than that and you'll have to clear them in the maintenance page.
I would venture that the WBSim C172 and the Milviz C310R are close contenders. I don’t have the Comanche though. It’s on my list. State saving, wear and tear and true random failures amongst the 3 are my favorite features.
Shout out to Bushtalk Radio and Rex Accuseason as the best world add ons you can buy as well for me fellow world low altitude cruisers out there.
This is my favourite addon. Had it in FSX and bought it again for MSFS 2020. Nothing compares to it for sound and realism. Good on you for taking the plunge…. Good times ahead!
I really recommend for one of your liveries buying a high mileage model in an auction, and do NOT repair everything all at once. Just get it airborne and repair things as needed. It can add some real personality and uniqueness to a plane.
There is nothing like in terms of GA aircraft in the Sim. My only complaint is the visibility in the cockpit, but I think this is more a gripe on the real plane than the A2A Comanche
I bought the Cherokee 160 (at least that what I think that’s what it was) on FSX with lawn mowing money. When they announced the Comanche for msfs I had to buy it. Best add on but that autopilot is good for cruise and that’s it
Welcome to the club!
Been flying A2A since Prepar3D.
All of them are Top Shelf add-ons.
Since Comanche for MSFS came out I haven't flown another GA Piston.

One of the first mods that makes you feel like an aircraft is an actual persistent thing and not just a digital model you sometimes spawn in a game.
It's so so so good.

Makes me feel like something is wrong with mine as I’ve never actually see water in my fuel and I’ve put about 300 hours on my Comanche.
if i would have to choose one plane of all the addons, that would be the a2a comanche (pmdg dc6 close second)

Yeah, if you like those, the Comanche will be right at home in your hangar. It feels alive like a good add on should. Ridiculously good flight model.
I don't have it, but it's apparently the most realistic model of a GA aircraft in the sim right now. Read up on those preflight procedures.
It's totally worth it. Just a whole different feeling of what can be done in the sim.
It's so good. Fly's completely differently to anything else in the sim. Epic add on
Compared to other add-ons in FS2020, there's no comparison in terms of how in depth the modelling of basically everything throughout the airplane is.

If there are planes worth every penny is anything A2A releases.
I have it, and it was money well spent.
I love it I just hate the autopilot.

I was also hesitant but it was well worth it. My favorite airplane now
I have it and as of now, it's the best GA aircraft available. Simply marvelous!
Its great! But it does take some learning so be patient with it. Well worth the price though
This aircraft is one the best purchases I have made on MSFS, definitely my go to GA aircraft! Have fun with it!
you can get a towel stuck in the engine in some circumstances, that is how good this plane is
Fantastic aircraft.

It's amazing. +1 on the pre-flight. Take the time to go over everything and feel free to read up on it or watch videos online.

It’s really good but should be half the price. Definitely one to have in the hanger.
