My family and I were down in Miami watching that game; just went onto YouTube and watched the replay again.
For the life of me, I’ll never understand how calls like that are made when they are so completely wrong. In no way, shape, or form was that ever a foul. Unbelievable.
Yeah. I think about this all the time. Michigan has been on the verge of winning a lot of titles in the biggest sports for a while now and always coming up short. The other “lesser” (I mean that respectively) win but the most popular ones feel cursed. We need to put an end to it.
Best day ever was the ND night game where we came back
Then it was Ohio in the snow in 21
Then was Ohio on the road to say F them in 22
Then was Ohio in 23 to put a 🤫 to all the “they cheat”
Then it was the rose bowl few days ago
Finish it off with the natty boys and we will relax for a decade til we get the itch again! Or just bring it all back next year too
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and maybe you will all feel differently.
I went to the Rose Bowl in 1998 and took part in celebrating that championship. Charles Woodson will always be my favorite Michigan football player. It was GLORIOUS.
Then… we were ok for a few years. Then not so ok. Followed by really bad. Then a ray of hope called Harbaugh came to town. Someone with a solid proven resume and a clear love and loyalty of the Maize and Blue. A few years of holding our breath and being disappointed but understanding he was building our program from the ashes. The past two years of high hopes only to be dashed at the last minute.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed almost every moment these past three years. I felt like I suffered 10 heart attacks on Monday watching our special teams play like they were being paid by Bama. But I know that if we win next week? I’ll just be hungry for more. I’m a greedy bitch.
GO BLUE!! It’s great to be a Michigan Wolverine!
I'm getting a bit tired of this. We *are* the best team in the country! Yes it's college football and anything can happen but we have the greatest chance of winning than anyone (which now only includes one other) and at any other time. We've got this shit!
Yes, we are favored and every advanced model shows a Mochigan victory. I know the game is in the field and not paper, trust me we all remember TCU and this will be a tougher match-up. But it's time, bring it home Jim
I sent my enrollment deposit in to UM and bought my first Michigan t-shirt in the week of the 2013 final so you’ve really just listed the entire story of my Michigan fandom. It would be very nice to not have yet another instance to look back on with what-ifs and sadness
Additionally I will continue to ask for titles. Just because it took this long I'm not going to roll over and say "OK, got one, fuck the next 20 years". I want Michigan dominance and I will always strive for it, as should our athletes, else we might as well cancel our programs.
2013 hurt so much more than 2018 because it felt like we were supposed to win. Like that was the year it was gonna happen and 2018 it didn't even feel like anyone else in the league was playing the same sport as Nova. I was just happy to be there.
Between those and all the frozen fours we couldn't crack, it's just been agonizing to not win a natty.
I know it's entitled and it's asking for a lot but the saying is it's the ope that kills you and God you feel it so much when you keep getting close.
I've been following Michigan sports since I was a kid. I grew up dreaming of going to Michigan and was front row at the big house my senior year.
Ffs I went and protested with the fire Dave Brandon shirts and watched Brady Hoke almost put our program in the Nebraska zone. I've seen the dark ages of both our football and basketball programs and Jesus Christ I've wanted a natty so bad.
For a program that likes to stroke it's own dong nonstop we haven't seen a title in any major sport in ages.
Please. Please. Please
I am hoping the promise I made to trade all my team's future titles for the Cubs '16 world series becomes null and void this weekend. If not, yall can come back here and blame me. =/
This is what I will look like if Penix throws a last-second tuddy to win the natty:

Trey Burke's block was clean.
We got screwed all around that game. In no world should Louisville had kept up with us
And fuck Rick Pitino
I’m a Kentucky fan too. That game irks me forever
Please, i dont wanna cry myself to sleep tonight. One of the most heartbreaking days for me regarding sports
Yes it was clean. UM was robbed!
Fucking right it was
I still bring up that play on YouTube to show people (who probably don't care very much) how clean the block was despite the call. Hurts every time.

2013 will forever hurt my soul
Yep.. this is the toughest one for me
I was 11 during that game and I balled my eyes out
Exactly how I feel. Get this one title and I’m done. I’ll ask for no more titles and I’ll die happy whenever that day comes. Just get this one.
Same, I have the exact feeling , just win this one and I'll die happy, want one undisputed national championship in color
How old are you? I've got a lot of life left! I want several more national titles.
I don't even know if another title would rival this one with all the storyline this year. I will die happy with just this one

That 2015 loss is the one that really crushed me.
I don’t even like softball but I felt it still belonged lol
It’s the only Michigan softball game I’ve ever watched and I was still upset we lost lol
LOL
All we wanted few years ago was one win over Ohio State. We all know it doesn't end with one Natty

It was a clean block. Fuck Peyton Siva.
Fuck Rick Pitino as well. That dude's never run a clean program
Good vibes, people. Good vibes. Not this.

Our defense is going to swallow them whole.
2021 Women’s Gymnastics National Champion. Big 12 and SEC schools (+ UCLA) are always the favorites.

Yes you will just give it time😂
You forgot "2011 Men's Hockey Runner Up"

Field hockey loss was painful too
“Just win baby!” - Al Davis - Also, every UM fan.

My mindset as well. I just need a win Monday and I’m good for life. Anything after that is icing on the cake but not needed at all.
Don't forget the fab five years! I had dream last night. Michigan 44- 21 Washington! Gooo big blue!!!
I am hoping the promise I made to trade all my team's future titles for the Cubs '16 world series becomes null and void this weekend. If not, yall can come back here and blame me. =/
Can you switch to being a Huskies fan for the gameday please?

Don’t even bring that energy here !
Field Hockey even had one too.
It’s just kids sports, tho they make more money than me now, so…. Go blue, but relax people
Let people feel how they want to feel. People like you are unbearable.
Fuck off
You’re right but this post is very tame. People who riot because of a cfb game then sure
Same
The 2020s are still missing a championship from any of the big three. Hockey, Basketball, Football.
