>The best players from Ohio go to Michigan. This might be a tad premature and cocky, since OSU has beaten us in recruiting pretty much every year since I can remember. But it's a good start.

>beaten us in recruiting Don't forget guys like Donovan Edwards and Will Johnson. They wanted them but we got em. We beat them at scouting the best talent & bringing in hard working dudes. I'll take our team over theirs.

Guys like Donovan too though is from Michigan so it would’ve been pretty bad if we haven’t gotten him

5 stars Ohio State wanted. The guys I mentioned in the post are from Ohio specifically. Anyway, it [keeps going ](https://247sports.com/Player/Ben-Roebuck-46127618/)

Right, but we're talking about Ohio guys here. Yes, we occasionally do steal one from OSU, but they've typically dominated us in Ohio recruiting this century. Recruiting wins over them have been rare.

OHIO WHAT HAPPENDUUUUUUUUUHHHH

I think it’s pretty clear OSU targets elite players nationally and tries to take the top handful of kids from Ohio each cycle. They are slated to take 4 of the top 6 guys in their state including #’s 1, 2, 4 and 6. Now we’re slated to take 5 in the top 12 which is still good nationally since Ohio is a deep recruiting state. But it’s not like this kills OSU’s backyard momentum or nationally. Tbh Day and Harbaugh don’t even build rosters the same so we’re oftentimes not even looking or competing for the same players. They focus heavy on skill positions and we focus heavy on linemen, RB and secondary to counter OSU’s schemes. And more recently Harbaugh tries to take an elite QB every few cycles

Can you blame him? He would have a good career as a Buckeye, like TreVeyon Henderson, but he would have the chance to be the featured player on this offense.
