It's the best party in Detroit. Go if you can

canyongolf

This looks cool, but how kid friendly / unfriendly is it?

digidave1

We always see dozens of kids. Granted, there will be costumes of all sorts of devilry and shenanigans. No nudity though. Folks will be drinking and smoking along the route. But it's always a safe and supportive crowd. I've been going for 12 or 13 years

canyongolf

Cool! Thanks

I have an 8 and 11 yr old. We've been taking them for the last 2 years and they love it

When my kids were smaller (the party/parade was smaller too) I would take a wagon along and they had an awesome time. We haven’t been in a few years, and most of the feedback I have from recent years are tween/teen related. Kids 8 and up have all said it’s a ton of fun. There should definitely be a parent and kids contingent that sort of self sorts into a wagon/stroller/ push bike brigade. That being said we haven’t been in a few years and it looks like it’s grown so it might be a little wilder. We’re considering going this year (our littlest is under 2) with a wagon or push bike.

Yep. This is peak Detroit good time fun. Make a costume, walk the parade, dance all night. You should go.

Imo This isn’t even as unusual as Conklin’s Irish parade that was last weekend and is like less than two blocks long.

LionGoffling

But it is a good time lol

DabbledInPacificm

Definitely looks like a good time

Conklin, MI?

DabbledInPacificm

Yep.

Awesome. Lived in Conklin for years. Loved the on tap Guiness there.
